There is no time limit. International students may attend for as many years as they wish. Even if their parent's visa expires students can remain enrolled and attend.

If she had skin lightening, shame on her. She found her success with her dark skin, which was the point I'm trying to make. Her ethnicity didn't stand in her way. Nor did it stand in the way of many others.

PC is trying on an accent, and her fans are trying to use racism as the excuse for her fakery.

Mindy's brother using the affirmative action programs meant for underrepresented minorities like blacks and Hispanics has nothing to do with racism. It has to do with Indians getting less preference in a field where we are grossly overrepresented. 1/3 of U.S. doctors are of Indian ethnicity if I'm not mistaken while being 1% of gen population.

the idea is effective communication. With a thick accent like hers, it would be harder for Americans to understand Deepika. Only thing she'd do is invite ridicule if she got on shows in the US. Either lose the accent (making it neutral) or try to adapt.

by the way, you were expressing skepticism about her experiences in the US as a teenager and as to how come she came back. Well, a teen missing her parents or otherwise finding the going tough in American high schools is not strange. Question is what she did as an adult. In her case, she clearly learned to get past it and to become stronger. People also become more confident as they become successful. And a lot of people do evolve and grow up, you know. Just dont get the negativity when she has been a great ambassador for the country.
