Moment Sushant died, he took the charm of BW with him.

I became his bigger fan post his death. I had watched his most of the films and had loved them. I used to stalk his instagram coz he used write about astronomy and physics.

Sara and Saif changed their story midway to Sara personally begged Rohit for Simmba instead of Saif doing it. Though I guess that sort of makes it worse?

If I am not mistaken, Sridevi’s role in Kalank was different than Madhuri’s, I think when Madhuri came on board it was changed around. Sridevi would’ve never approved such a script. I also have never heard that Janhvi would be in Kalank.

From the title of this topic, I thought you were referring to the likes of Dawood and his stronghold on Bollywood in the 90s. If you’re asking about gangs/clique, did you miss each and every episode of KwK this season or did you miss the first season of Bollywood wives? I strongly believe that most of KJo and gang have absolutely no problem stepping on people (esp outsiders) if it means success for them.

I do not watch the shows you mentioned. I stopped watching KWK after 2010.

Never bothered about any other season of his shit show.

I did not ask about underworld because meddling of underworld in BW is long known open secret.

...but all that is pretty normal, adjusting a film/role to suit the new casting 👍🏼

^ the other poster also claimed Sara was replaced by Janhvi in Dhadak [???] ...but Janhvi is the one who told Karan she wants him to remake the film with her, because he promised to produce her first film. Jannu has mentioned this countless times, not to mention it was co-produced by Zee Studios who have a special association with her other daddy Boneyji Kapoor (Zee Awards also later gave her the Best Debut award, ALL other shows gave it to Sara/Radhika)..

Bollywood does have an entry gate instead of a cartel. Old film stars are the gate keepers. Now-days audition for films are even hidden from common people. If you are some old or current stars favorite as an outsider, you will get a chance. Or if your family can invest and finance your first movie, then you will get a chance. Middle class person will not be even allowed to enter studio's gate. This has been happening from late 2000s.

High profile social events have an hierarchy. More rich and successful your parents are, then the gates of success open for you. I am not talking about page 3 events, but parties were media is paid not to report them. Its nearly impossible for any unknown face from hospitality and even luxury to even know about them. If anyone's parents attend these parties regularly, endorsements and movies will come easily to them. This is the reason you will see many cricket players and film star attending billionaires events. This is the real cartel and gatekeeping happening everywhere.

There are cliques in every work place who make sure that children of their friends, people from the same caste,class community etc make it through. Fact of life. Often it is a return of favors or future favors.Since Bollywood does not exist on a separate planet.Of course there are cliques there too. Even the so-called outsiders these days are from rich families who fund their films behind the scenes or from powerful/politically connected families. But like in the real world buttering up and networking is the key for outsiders. But hey, it's not as if they are going to welcome other outsiders once they become part of the system. The current boycott advocaters mistakenly think that there'll be more chances for the common-man flavor of outsiders if the gateholders change.

This is what outsider gang forget. The rich kids are introduced to bollywood celebs in Page 3 parties from childhood. For example Arjun Bijlani and Ranbir Kapoor know each other from school. Or the cast of Archies, the so called outsiders are kids of rich people. Financiers and insurance agents charge a hefty amount for safety over star kids.

People in corporate world sleep with their seniors, if they want promotion or new position. Men would not mind to make moves over females, even if she is fat and ugly. People do anything for career progress. I have seen this happening in so many companies in India.
