Tbh except the whole rape jokes and Aamir helping the birth of Mona's kid would have been a problem

The film hit a chord of humour and emotion and especially of following or having a career of your choice.

The makers would have maybe chopped a few scenes if there was outrage but the film has great music and the acting was good unlike LSC

3 idiots might not be that well liked if it released today. That one scene w the speech might get them all cancelled lol

He needs to stop insisting playing a young guy and cast young people instead. If newcomers will be casted in big films then only u get new superstars..if superstar insists on doing all big films by themselves via vfx anti-aging/botox toh kese chalega?

The downfall doesnt happen overnight. People have been patiently and silently observing all his antics and finally all the pent up resentment blew up on his face during chaddha.

The begining of his end started with PK only and reached clímax with LSC..😆

Aamir would be mauled for the rape jokes in 3 Idiots and playing a 50 plus fresher college student.

Also he would still face boycott calls as he is hated for his anti BJP stance.

He was targeted then also on Twitter for denying credit to Chetan Bhagat or promoting suicides as some students committed suicide same way as shown in 3 Idiots by the character named Joy. He was also accused of defaming IITs then.

And accused of instigating students to see parents and teachers as villains and spoiling youth. I remember how he was dragged on SM for TZP, 3I also but social media was not as huge then as it is now, and some other party was ruling, so he was unaffected by these things said against him on few sites then.

3 Idiots would resonate with youth but get mauled today. But not fail as badly as LSC or TOH either.
