There are no right answers. Of course the child is innocent. But Shabana would not have been at fault if she had rejected the child. In a case of life imitating art, this is what Raj Babbar's first wife Nadira did with his child with Smita Patil. Adopted the child and reconciled with her husband. Hats off to her magnanimity.There's a Malayalam version with Amol Palekar which came out just a year earlier. Both movies are adapted from Erich Segal's novel Man,Woman and Child. I wonder why there's a feminist friend of the wife in all these films who always urges the wife to divorce her husband/or have an affair coz the friend herself is thinking about leaving her husband. And just when the wife decides to leave her husband, the friend changes her mind and reconciles with her husband and starts advising her the exact opposite -that's giving the marriage another chance.

If I was in Shabana's place, I wouldn't have forgiven the husband. Cheating can never be forgiven.

But of course, it's not the child's fault and I would never have taken out my angst on d innocent kid.

Shabana did a brilliant job in the movie.

It's not about taking out angst. Nobody should be obligated to accept their husband's love child.
