Question about AdiLie

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum. I started following this show from Aryan’s entry, so I’m not too familiar with Aditya and Imlie’s relationship prior to that. But I’ve been seeing quite a bit of hate comments about Aditya and Imlie cheating Malini on Instagram. Can someone please give me a brief rundown of the Aditya-Imlie-Malini equation and clarify this for me please? Also, can someone please tell me if Aditya and Imlie ever consummated their relationship? Thank you!

Disclaimer: I also started watching since Arus arrival.

No to imlie and adi consummating their relationship.

Ig and Twitter have their own realities. I was never team Adi, but I don't think Adi and Imlie cheated Malini. Especially because they had already been married 1st.

Adi is to blame for a lot of this confusion considering he was supposed to be the mature and wiser person.

Malini turned into the villian when she took advanatage of Adi, by drugging him and then raping him. She's also tried to traffic Imlie at least twice and has tried to kill her twice now as well.

The highest they did cheek kiss, and neck kiss. That's it.

And if I'm not wrong...imlu even cried after that neck kiss! She felt uncomfy later. So she cried.

Omg I didn't know that!!!! Did Adi apologize? Or was she the one that had initiated the neck kiss but then felt uncomfy. Ugh! Poor girl! How did the show/story handle that?

Thank you for clarifying the consummation situation for me. I was wondering because Anu said something about living like her mother, or something to that effect, after Aditya and Malini’s wedding. Thank goodness the makers didn’t have them do that. This man is the worst. The speed with which he misunderstands her, and the spite he has for her is really something. And the plain awful stuff he and his MIL constantly say to this mere 19 year old girl. That too in front of a whole audience, her family, her colleagues and just about anyone else. I get that he was angry and hurt about Aryan and Imlie’s equation, but no one who truly loves someone would stand by and let anyone else treat/speak in such a gross and insulting manner to the person they love, let alone participate in it. And then taking away access to his family that she loves so much as petty revenge just because she countered his insults. He really left no stone unturned to break her.

I read that on a tweeter post...i think it was her birthday or something...but imlu was all decked up and all (probably in a pink outfit)

No i don't think she initiated it...its probably adi

Well what else you can expect from a man like him? Even though it was imlu's birthday he gifted her "you can enter my room today tonight" as a present 🙂 just imagine the tharki level. ( my blood boiled after knowing about this)

And this time asked her to to marry his as imlu's birthday present 🙂

I mean he surely has got an one track mind.

Yes this actually happened .....I'm 1000% sure . That first birthday celebration of imlu..that was his gift for imlu 🙂

Entering into his bedroom was her gift 🙂 just measure the tharak level....

So I am an old timer, and even though I had a problem with the general premise of the show, did enjoy watching it for the very superlative performances and acting by Gashmeer Mahajani (the original AKT) and Sumbul Touqeer.

Well, in a sense Imlie and Adi did cheat on Malini. Adi and Imlie were forcefully married by the people of her village because they both spent a night together to escape a storm (they did nothing, just took shelter!!), because.... village. Adi was engaged at that time to be married to Malini, but was forcefully married to Imlie and neither were really interested in marrying each other. So Adi was basically in denial of the marriage to Imlie and Imlie was a victim of her upbringing and held on to beliefs that there can only be one spouse per birth. Adi also could not exactly go complain to the police about the forced marriage or anything since that would effectively ruin Imlie's reputation in the village, and lead to arrest of Satyakam who was a fugitive according to Delhi Police. So various circumstances like that led Imlie to live as a domestic help in AKT's house. And AKT went ahead and married Malini. He attempted to tell her that he was already married to Imlie, but she fainted and since he was in denial of his marriage to Imlie anyway, he went ahead and married her, while Imlie continued living in his house as a maid. Eventually, things happened in such a way that he realized he loved Imlie and wasn't really compatible with Malini, and Imlie kept saying things like I am sufficient to fulfill this relationship by myself etc., and eventually caused Adi and Malini to separate after he revealed the truth to her.

No, Adi and Imlie did not consummate their marriage, because as soon as they got the opportunity, Imlie wasn't ready and Adi was not going to force her unless she was willing, and then amidst all this, Imlie also left him. So Adi actually has been celibate since quite sometime, except the one Janmashtami night, where he was drugged and tricked into sleeping with Malini, by Malini. In fact, as soon as Adi reveals the truth about Imlie and his relationship, Malini asks the same quesrtion for which Adi replies that even the thought hasn't crossed his mind. This is one of the very poignantly shot scenes and Gashmeer and Mayuri would have done it really well, with a lot of class.

As for comments about Adi forcefully kissing Imlie and him being tharki for her etc., it is not true. There was nothing in the plot to suggest anything like that. Their first kiss was after Malini and Adi had separated, and Imlie cried from being overwhelmed with emotions. Nothing else. In fact, it is a very beautifully and aesthetically shot sequence.

As for letting Imlie into his bedroom, it was even before he realized he loved her. This was on her birthday, and was a form of an apology after he sees Malini's mom misbehaving with her and he sees the reflection of his own behavior of mistreating Imlie for no fault of hers, and is just trying to set things right. He had earlier prohibited her from entering his room, but seeing that it was not the right thing to do, he just remedied it. No other intention.

Yes, eventually the writers messed up Adi's character arc to accommodate plot movement and other subsequent developments, but the only 2 things that were non-consensual were the marriage, and Adi's assault by Malini. Nothing else. In fact, AKT and Imlie were the most platonic couple you could have ever seen! Aryan and Imlie, as boss and employee had more physically intimate moments than Adi and Imlie had, as lovers!!!!

Both the presents are 🤮🤮 it's the worst gift anyone can get 🙄🙄 understand imlie situation but she shouldn't forget what this man done to her and it's not forgiving. Hope she takes wise decision.
