Patterns and trends.
Since the leap, trp has constantly increased (1.3 to 1.7 at the shaadi track).... with just 1 exception- the week of the aftermath of shaadi and before the kidnapping track started.
However, this was also right before the slot change....not sure if the calculations were messed up or something else happened....seems like an anomaly only.
Anyways, after this, the pattern has been increase, peak and decline lasting different number of weeks. I'm breaking it down into time periods with an average trp to understand it better.
Period 1 (12 weeks)- 1.8 average.
Increase (1.8 for kidnapping ); peaked at the danda and batwara kaand (1.9); decrease till after they came back home (1.7 for Jeera kaand).
Only exception - Khandar track. Trp went to normal 1.9 for this week before decreasing again.
Period 2 (5 weeks)- 1.9 average
Increase ( 1.7 for Shiva diary track); peak of 2.1 for room construction track; decrease till Mannat track (1.9).
Re the peak: the discussion thread attributed the 0.3 jump to the launch of new show.....since the peak lasted only 1 week and the decline also started then, the peak was probably an anomaly as was suggested.
Period 3 (8 weeks) - 2.2 average
Mostly an increase from Shivi separation till Raavi returns (1.9 to 2.2); slight dip to 2.1 for Dhara mood swing filler; before peaking at 2.3 for Shivi hide and seek and entering Top 5.
After this, its become really unstable.....decreasing trp for 3rd angle (2.1 to 1.7 for Dhara jealousy track)....with the exception of Shiva 2.0 and couples competition that got them 2.0; increase from Shivi bike track to Shivi engagement (1.9 to 2.1); again decline for Dhara pregnancy loss.
Its hard to make any specific track correlations for this period..... but the filler tracks like Ramleela and Dhara jealousy haven't worked.
Overall, whenever the focus has been just only on Dhara (batwara, jealousy, pregnancy loss), it hasn't worked.
Conversely, whenever there's build up of Shivi (separation, 1st court date, engagement), trps have increased. Even for family drama tracks (room construction, mannat), trps have stayed stable.
Even the Ormax ratings have been for family drama weeks (kesar kaand, khandar kaand, ramleela).
I'm not sure what other methodologies are used....but according to these 2 metrics, Dhara is NOT the trp magnet.
