As the love between Kaxi has already started blossoming , I thought to make a post on it.
The first thing Baxi ever felt for Kalyani is respect for being such a brave warrior as well as being so sympathetic to make such a huge saceifice for the sake of his wife . But that was NOT love , it was like preparing the field so that the seeds of love could be planted.The first time Baxi ever NOTICED her in a different(romantic) light was in the nail scene. What attracted his attention was the purity of her soul which could not see him in pain and her childishness and innocent efforts to tear her saree to tie a bandage even when she didn't how how to '" properly"' tie one. She has the innocence , simplicity and a pure heart almost like that a child and Baxi felt it . He kept smiling thinking about her childishness while Radha later ties a 'proper' bandage on him. THAT was the start of his love for her because had he not started loving her , a man of his character could never have kept staring at Kalyani's beauty during the Suhagan Puja. The x-factor that attracts Baxi to Kalyani are her innocence , childishness and youthfulness (which are in striking contrast to the extreme maturity of Radhamani). It is actually Kalyani's innocence which is warming her upto him and removing the awkwardness and gap between them .The sober , warrior Kalyani knew her limits around him and did not know her own feelings. But this new innocent , romantic Kalyani (after the discovery of her love)does not know any limit ; she only knows to love and love unconditionally without any logic or judgement.She can go to him anytime and for anything ---- like she mischievously spends time with him giving the excuse of learning sword fighting from him, childishly runs to Baxi to show her new dress which he has purchased for her and asks---" acchi to lag rahi hoon na ? " . Did anyone notice that Baxi again NOTICED Kalyani in that scene ? . Kalyani has actually slowly started shattering the cement walls that Baxi has built around himself through her innocence and liveliness.Their relationship Is changing slowly. This is a very important move from the creative -- Kalyani has to make a move and embrace him with all her love as Baxi's hands are tied down to the loyalty towards his first wife. Baxi has started feeling for her but due the current circumstances he does not get any opportunity to ponder over them.
Baxi is also attracted to Kalyani's nature of speaking her heart out , then and there itself . She never hesitates to express her irritation , anger , and even love ) without caring what the other people will think or what the consequences will be. She is a pure soul ,bold , intelligent yet has child-like innocence--becomes sad and happy at very small incidents .These make her unique (and very different from Radha)and Baxi has fallen for her uniqueness as he pointed to Radha's mother "Kalyani alag hai ......SABSE alag ".
