Hey folks! Look who's back with the Featured FF of the Month thread!
Can you believe it's the last month of 2021 already?! 
Talking about potential, like every month, we introduce two promising writers and their fabulous stories for your reading enjoyment. This thread is a celebration of their efforts and creativity.
Each month, the Fanfiction Development team picks out two intriguing tales from the Fanfiction section. They are selected on the basis of merit and quality, with utmost importance given to vocabulary, grammar, the flow of narrative, coherency, plot, characterization, and creativity.
The stories will appear under the ‘Featured Stories’ of the FF section throughout the month as a token of appreciation for our writers, as well as to encourage our readers to read the fantastic works. If you like them, please leave your feedback in the comment section of the stories, as it would mean the world for a budding writer.
Moving ahead, let's announce the Featured Fictions for December 2021! *drumrolls*
Abstract Love: A poetic two shot

A two-shot written in the form of poems. The story is set in the Victorian era. The first poem 'Abstract Love' is written from the point of view of a woman who follows her brain over her heart. She addresses her old lover in this poem and speaks of how life's lessons made her choose her present man who is wealthy over her old lover who was not so well off.
The second poem 'Will You Remember Me?' is written from the point of view of the old lover who hopes that his old flame remembers him at least after his last breath. His poem is a mixture of love, resentment, hope and pain.
Meet Lavanya
Lavanya is an 18 year old Science student who calls herself an introvert that has surprisingly found some amazing people here on IF that have become like family. She's from Maharashtra and you can always count on her to recommend a good book/movie/song.
Her writing journey on IF began during the lockdown since she found herself with time on her hands. She turned to writing poetry, inspired by her own personal experiences. Writing poems soothes her and has now turned into a lifestyle. She enjoys writing poems on different characters or converting her stories into poems. She doesn't have a favorite couple/character to write on but majority of her writings revolve around SuVan from Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2.
She likes to read thrillers, humor, and romances, and likes writing romances and stories with a healthy dose of humour and realism.
Her favorite authors include Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, Ruskin Bond, R.K Narayan and many more. Recently she's been enjoying the works of Khaled Hosseini.
On IF she loves reading stories by Anjali (Astonm), Alina, Bucky, Alexia. She would love suggestions on other good authors here. When she's not reading/writing, she's either listening to music, gardening or cooking.

Never judge a book by its cover. The most innocent could be the most gruesome. Maya, a young radio jockey was travelling from her workplace to her home. Nothing new, except that this time she boarded a bus with a dark past. Aware about this past but not precisely, Maya sits near a warm-eyed old lady. Maya feels comfortable conversing with the elder woman and is weirded out when the lady reveals a secret she was unaware of. Getting back home she narrates the meet with the old lady to her husband only to receive a piece of news that freezes her blood, sending chills down her spine.
Meet Alexia
Alexia is 24 and a student of oceanology, aspiring to be a marine biologist.
Writing has been a constant in her life and she's been writing since the age of ten. She thinks reading inspired her to start writing stories born out of her own imagination. She's an introvert, so she thinks writing helps as an outlet for her emotions.
She doesn't have a favorite character or couple that she most often writes on, and most of her stories are base don original characters.
She prefers to read and write thrillers and horror because she enjoys the build-up of suspense.
Her favorite authors are Amish Tripathi and Dan Brown. They continue to be her inspiration to write. Other than these, nostalgia often pushes her towards works by Enid Blyton, Agatha Christie, J.K Rowling and J.R.R Tolkien.
When she's not reading/writing you will find Alexia listening to music, painting, or creating graphics.
