No it is not that he would go for her even if he wasn't in love with her, but that is what I was talking about, his deep rooted goodness as a character, like he did not exploit her, or even the fact that he did not wnat anyone to blame Sajal as characterless, everything about the idea behind his rejection, also making sure that she never feels any less of herself, claiming that 'You are the better person, I am the one who is faulty, so do not waste your time on me, as you will find many better matches'. Everything about that Farhad had me all drown in feels.
He is a flawed human being but he was/is always the greater person, be it in his love, rejection, suffering or anything he touches, his always etches a chord of his innate goodness.
