But my point is if he had other wives then why the names of the other wives are mentioned nowhere. Like Malharrao's four wives names are mentioned clearly, although there is very little info about them. Even shivaji maharaj's eight wives name is clearly given.

And also if khanderao had so many wives, then he should have atleast one child from his other wives also naa. But it's stated that he only had two children, and that too from Ahilyabai only. That's why I have doubt on this nine wives theory.

That said, there's full chance that those names were omitted from history. That's why we have no proper info about khanderao's conjugal life.

Regarding the disclaimer part, yes I agree with what you are saying. It's better to give a disclaimer before showing such extreme scenes, like shaving off a widow's hair and all. More better not to show such scenes, like renu could be directly shown in widow's attire instead of showing such a sensitive scene surrounding shaving in Television. Like it was shown in Baji Rao where Radhabai was directly shown in widow's attire, after Balaji's death.

. That’s true but if they show Renu in widows attire then people wouldn’t know about how the attire came to be there. Most importantly what is under the covered head ... that the head has been shaved bald. So they had to show the head shaving in public scene where the whole village watches the “ceremony” . In reality they wouldn’t even let anyone watch when the head is getting shaved. By showing such a scene They are “educating” the viewers . about what atrocities happened two centuries ago. How relevant is it in today’s world? As for Radhabhai in Bhajirao they shaved off the actress’s head for real I heard. May be they showed it in the movie too What kind of weird people and their weird actions! 😡

Agree with everything you said👍🏼

Btw I was talking about the TV show Peshwa Bajirao on Sony, not the movie Bajirao Mastani.

Are the CVS butchering her character to make it that unreal?

She has to keep saying "accha" "theek hai" and get her way!

Supergirl saves the day everyday...all historic stuff made me impressed when read about it, but this show is just overdoing it...

If we can have supeboy Akbar ,Maharana pratap, shivaji,Altunia then why not Ahilyabai?? Everyone doesn't want to be jodhabai, ajabde or butchered character razia as shown in serial razia sultan.

Yes exactly, very well said. Actually people are habituated in watching women who work behind their husbands and help them silently so that they can shine brighter in life, not only in serials but also in real lives too...But not okay with women being superior or focussed to acheive their own dreams. They prefer Jodha Bai or Ajabde types of women who loves to be happy being a dutiful wife and that's why those kind of dialogues are given to Gautama Bai to represent those popular thoughts of majority audiences.

Wait, there were shows On Akbar and Razia Sultan? What did they show — how they butchered men and raped women — or how benevolent these rulers were? Indians would never let an opportunity to glorify these brutes ever escape. 🤦♀️🤦♀️

Well truth be told Ahilya was a behind the scenes woman till hubby died. And when hubby died she was all set to Commit sati It was after that she rose to Great heights. She was a behind the scenes woman and would not go barge into darbar nor speak
