Part 1
Rishita was looking worried as the doctor attended to Suman. Raavi was crying while Dhara was in a state of shock. Gaumbi and Dev had gone outside Somnath and Krish had gone to college. Shiva was the only one home and he was angry as hell.
She is stable now , kuch der mein aankhen kholega , the doctor said making everyone release their breath.
After talking to the doctor and finding out himself that his mother was fine , Shiva came inside furiously glaring at Raavi.
He held onto her right hand tightly and started walking to their room.
Shiva kya kar raha hai ,chod mujhe , she mumbled in between in pain and tried to remove his hand from hers but he was too strong for her.
He pulled her inside the room and closed the door with a loud bang making her look all frightened.
He pushed her towards the wall and kept his hands on both sides of the wall and she could see the fire in his eyes.
Tu meri maa ko maarne ki koshish kar rahe the ?
She had never seen him this angry. It's true that these two have fought their entire life but it never lead to anything serious. But he was really furious this time.
Kya keha rahe ho Shiva ,paagal hai kya tu , she asked with tears filled in her eyes.
Ay ,mujhe teri fake aansoo nahi chaiye ,sach sach bata. Irada kya tha tera?
Raavi couldn't believe that Shiva was accusing her just like that. In all these years he had never blamed her for anything inspite of fighting for one thing or the other always.
Main kitchen mein kaam kar rah tha aur Rishita ne bataya tha ki woh maa ko medicine dega. Isliye maine uspe dhyaan nahi di. Jo maine kiya hi nahi uske liye tu mujhe blame kyu kar raha hai?
Ay maami ki behen ki beti ,chup ho jao aur apna naatak band kar. Tu acchi tarah se jaanti hai us ameer baap ki beti kaisi hai aur phir bhi tune usse vishwas ki ,waah , he clapped his hands looking at her furiously.
Tujhe akal nahi hai yeh mujhe pata hai ,but pata nahi tha ki tu itni stupid bhi ho sakti hai , he glared at her .
Bas Shiva ,bakwaas math kar. Mujhe kaise pata hoga ki woh bhool jaega ,tu saare ilzaam mujhpe math dhal , she spoke wiping her tears.
Phir main kya batau ,tu to hamesha bolti hai na tu Dhara bhabhi jaise banna chahti hain,toh bhabhi aisa karta hai kya?. Woh sab ka khayal rakhti hai ,teri tarah nahi hai. Woh apni dushman ko bhi hurt nahi kar sakte.
Shiva was very furious at Raavi for trusting Rishita with his mother's health. Hasn't she seen how that ameer baap ki beti behaves with the whole family?.
Tujhse shaadi karke maine zindagi ki sabse badi galti ki hai. Maine socha tha ki tera dushmani sirf mujhse hai par pata nahi tha ki tu meri parivaar ko bhi khatre main daalenge, Shiva retorted at her angrily .
Raavi didn't expect Shiva to speak like this. Hadn't he known her from childhood? How could he even think that she would put this family in danger when she clearly considers them as her own.
Tujhe jo sochna hai tu sochle. Tu toh hamesha aisi hi sochti hun na mere baare mein. Aur waise bhi ,tujhse kisna kaha ki shaadi karke mahaan ban ne ka ? Mujhe bhi koi shock nahi tha ki tujhse shaadi karne ke liye , she snapped in the same manner even though she was too hurt to have a fight.
Mahaan nahi ban na tha mujhe. Maine bas bhabhi ki baat maanli aur shaadi ki. Par shayad yeh ek galat faisla hai jo bhabhi ne le liya. Tu jaisi ladki ek maa ka value kabhi nahi samajhi payegi.
Raavi looked at him shocked when she heard the last sentence. Did he really say that? He was never the one to hurt her like this but today he had crossed all limits.
She held onto the collar of his shirt and shouted along with tears in her eyes , Himmat kaisi hui tumhari?
Haa maan gaayi ki meri maa ab meri paas nahi hai par iska matlab nahi hai ki tu uss baat ke leke meri insult karun. Tere se zyaada main jaanti hoon rishta kaise nibhaate hain.
He removed her hands from his collar and said , Teri maa duniya se jaldi chala gaya woh bhi teri wajah se. Agar zinda rehti toh teri yeh bakwas toh dekh ke thak chuke hote.
That was the last string for Raavi. She sat on the floor and started crying at his cruel words.
Atleast Dev toh bacch gaya. Ab pata nahi kab tu meri khaane mein bhi zeher daalegi , he shouted angrily and she looked at him with a tear stricken face.
She got up from the floor and spoke,
Zeher nahi ,cyanide daalungi main tere khaane pe taaki tu jaldi marjaaye.
Shiva left from the room after closing the door and Raavi continued crying thinking of her fate.
Pyaar nahi toh sahi ,but maine socha tha ki tujhe meri fikar hai . But ab samajh main aaraha hai mujhe. Tu mujhe pasand nahi karti hoon aur mujhse chutkara chaahti hoon , she told herself and closed her eyes.
Flashback
It had been two months to their marriage and everything was normal.
Even though both of them still fought like kids ,it was harmless and never lead to hurting or insulting the other.
They still remained the way they were before marriage but in a more friendly manner.
Raavi didn't hate Shiva anymore as she had seen how he was with his family and hoped to be considered him as such one day. Shiva still called her mami ki behen beti but in a friendly banter. He had understood that she was not that bad how he had thought her to be. Even if he was still rude to her most of the times ,he had a soft side too which he very occassionally showed.
Once when she was ironing both of their clothes ,she accidentally burned her hand. Shiva who had just taken a bath came out listening to her scream
Kya hua ,tu itna chilla kyu rahi hai, he asked.
She was still crying in pain that she didn't answer him.
Agar khud ko dard pahunchne mein koi award hai ,woh tujhe milna chahiye , he said while pulling her hand and looking through the burn.
As he had just taken a bath ,he was shirtless and had only worn his trousers. His hair was wet and seeing him like that made Raavi breathless all of a sudden.
As he continued tending to her injury ,she kept on gazing at him and felt her heart flutter in slight happiness seeing the concerned look in his face.
Shayad ,yeh itna bura bhi nahi hai , she mumbled to herself.
Kuch kaha tune , he asked looking at her suspiciously.
Nahi kuch nahi , she replied and looked away from him.
It was too difficult to stand so close to him especially when he was shirtless.
She felt her heart beat increasing when he accidentally pulled herself to himself while tending her wound.
Ho gaya ,he said and left from the room after wearing his shirt and she couldn't stop herself from smiling looking at his retreating form.
After that incident ,she had secretly started observing Shiva and what she most liked about him was his smile. It was infectious and she could do anything just for him to smile like that. She was getting attracted to him day by day seeing his care and concern for her and also lately she had noticed that he was not hurling insults at her anymore but was mostly teasing her.
Maybe he had just accepted this marriage by his heart and her heart jumped in joy thinking of the same. It wasn't bad to be married to him as she had thought earlier. Shiva took a stand for whatever he thought was right and had stood by her even at the time of their marriage even when they were not so fond of each other. Since their trust and care ,she thought they would fall in love too someday.
Little did she know that her heart would be broken like this.
Flashback over.
May be I just mistook your humanity as care and concern and maybe even love towards me. Par ab main samajh gayi ki main tera koi bhi nahi hoon. Ab bhi main sirf mami ki behen ki beti hai ,teri biwi nahi. Meri hi galti hai ki maine bohot sapne dekhe hamare zindagi ki baare mein. Par Shiva ,chaahe kuch bhi ho tujhe koi haq nahi hai mujhe insult karne ke liye. Pati hoon tu meri par mujhe bhi self respect hai.
She got up from the floor determined and got ready. She couldn't stay in this house anymore , at least for now. She needed to have a peace of mind.
As soon as she changed her clothes ,she went to the kitchen to talk to her Dhara di, who was shocked to see Raavi all decked up as if she was going somewhere.
She came to Raavi and held her hand.
Raavi tum kaha jaa rahe ho baccha , she asked concerned.
Main maasi ki ghar jaa rahi hoon kuch dinon ke liye. Yaha rehke pagal ho jaaungi main , Raavi replied.
Shiva ne daanta hai tujhe ,main use baat karti hoon. Tu ruk .
As Dhara was about to move away from the kitchen ,Ravi held her hand and stopped her.
Rehne do Dhara di. Koi fayda nahi. Shayad aap ki kehne se woh mujhse baat karega par uska koi matlab hi nahi hai. Jab tak woh nahi chahte ki iss rishta ko chance doon ,phir aap ka kuch karne se kya hoga , Raavi said feeling hopeless in her marriage.
She was never hopeless like this ever in her life. She was a very optimistic girl who always believed in finding solutions. But when it came to Shiva,her opinion differed. She didn't exactly know whether he even wanted this marriage.
Baccha woh bas gusse main , Dhara tried to reason but Raavi stopped her.
Di main aap se naraaz nahi hoon. Aap ne hamari bhalayi ke liye yeh shaadi karwa di but yeh work out nahi ho raha hai. Jab tak woh mujhse aise nafrat karte rahega aur mujhe apni patni nahi manega yeh rishta teek nahi hoga. Pehle mujhe hope tha par ab woh bhi chala gaya. Shiva mujhe pasand tak nahi karta tho main kya karun ,di.
Raavi fumbled as tears started filling her eyes.
Main Shiva ko blame nahi kar rahi hoon. Woh dil ka acha yeh mujhe bhi pata hai. Par shayad hum dono saath mein sahi nahi hai. I'm not the one for him.
Raavi turned around and said,
Main kuch dinon ke baad waapas aajaungi di ,aap tension math lijiye. Main rishta tod ke nahi jaa rahi hoon. Main acchi tarah se jaanti hoon rishton ki value. Aur please aap Shiva se kuch math kahiye jo maine aap se ab kaha. Agar main sahi hoon woh khud samajh lega. Agar nahin ,aap samajh leejiye ki hum dono ek dusre ke liye nahi bane hain. Ismein uski koi galti nahi.
As Raavi moved outside the kitchen she didn't see shiva anywhere. Probably he must have left to the store.
She saw Rishita sitting at a corner , looking scared. She went and held her shoulder to talk to her.
Their equation had changed a lot in these two months. Rishita had understood that Raavi was no more into Dev seeing how she cared for Shiva. They were not the best of friends but at the same time they wrte cordial with each other. Shiva still hated Rishita and always tried to find faults with her unlike the others.
Rishita got up and held Raavi 's hands.
I am so sorry Raavi ki meri wajah se Shiva tujhse rudely baat ki. Main us se maafi maangti hoon. Teri koi galti nahi hai , Rishita hung her head down in shame.
Nahi Rishita,tuna purposely nahi kiya hai yeh mujhe pata hai. Aur rahi baat Shiva ki woh hamesha se aisa hi hai. Aur agar yeh nahi tha tho koi aur incident leke mujhse gussa ho jata shayad. Koi baat nahi , she smiled at Rishita.
Pehle maine tujhe blame kiya hai Raavi par ab mujhe lagta hai ki main tum dono ki rishta kharab kar rahi hoon. Sab kuch kitna accha chal raha tha itne din , Rishita spoke with guilt surging through her words.
Nahi Rishita. Agar Shiva mujhpe yakeen karti toh shayad yeh ladai bhi nahi hoti. It's just things are not working out between us. Tum dono ki tarah nahi hai hum dono. Tum dono ek dusre ko pyaar karti hoon aur samajh bhi sakti hoon. Par mere aur Shiva ka rishta aise nahi hain. Hum dono bachpan se lekar abhi tak sirf ladai karti rehti hoon. Woh mujhe pasand nahi karti aur iske liye main use blame nahi kar rahi hoon. Yeh sab chodo ,main bas tumhe yeh kehne ke liye aaya hoon ki main kuch dinon ke liye apni maasi ki ghar jaa rahi hoon.
Rishita looked at her shocked listening to her words.
Raavi ,tu kya keha rahi hoon ,kahi tumne iss shaadi..
Nahi Rishita , main waapas aajaungi. Bas kuch dinon ke liye jaa rahi hoon thaaki meri mood teek ho jaaye.
Next ,Raavi went to see maa. She couldn't leave the house before apologizing to her.
As she entered the room ,she could see that she was sleeping.
Raavi came to her bedside and held her hands and spoke , Maa please mujhe maaf kardo. Maine jaan bujh ke nahi kiya hai.
As she was about to move not hearing any response from ma ,she felt as if Suman just held her hand. Raavi turned around to look at maa who had already opened her eyes and was smiling looking at Raavi.
Mere paas aake baitho , she told Raavi.
As she sat by her bedside Suman placed her hands on Raavi's cheeks and said , Main tujhse gussa nahi hoon Raavi. Tune koi galti nahi ki.
Aur Rishita bhi jaan bujh ke nahi ki. Tu meri bacchi hai phir maafi kyun maang rahi hoon.
Raavi smiled at what maa said. Atleast she knew that she wouldn't do such a thing.
Aur waise bhi tu meri Shiva ke saath bohot acchi lagti hai.
The smile left Raavi's face when she heard about Shiva. She was almost sure that their marriage was about to break and maa wanted to see her with Shiva. What an irony? . But she couldn't shoe that on her face. Maa was old and she couldn't give her any stress.
She tried to put a fake smile around her face at the compliment.
Hamesha khush raho beta , Suman blessed Raavi and she left the room without speaking much after that.
As she was about to leave ,Dhara asked her , Raavi tujhe abhi jaana hai kya? Shiva se ek baar baat karle.
Nahi di ,main jaa rahi hoon. Mujhe Shiva se koi baat nahi karni aur woh bhi nahi chahti ki main us se baat karun. Please mujhe jaane dee jiye.
Raavi said and Dhara didn't say anything. As she saw Raavi walking towards the gate ,her heart ached. How much had this girl suffered in such a small age? She thought that Shiva would be her shield but here she was getting broken because of Shiva.
