That everything that goes wrong is because of Ahilya. How can a friend , widow or otherwise stay with Ahilya in the same room?Ahilya is weird but she should know at least this much. Renus grandma is right. Even after going to palace she knows nothing. If she hadn’t tickled Renu she wiuld not have collided with Gautama and the laddus would not have fallen on the ground. She has no regard for others feelings except her own reasoning. There is a limit to immature behaviour. She should know by now how not to rub Gautama the wrong way. Brings trouble on herself

its just weird that ahilya interrupts when dwarka suggests to think of alternative ...i know dwarkabai is grey-shaded but ahilya cutting her in the middle of the conversation was just weird...

Honestly speaking, Ahilya is just a 9 yrs old kid in the show. Even in those days, I don't think a 9 yrs old kid would understand so much, and that too when she's newly married. It's more of a call for the grown ups to make this judgement.

tbh, probably she's only interacted with widows as opposed to rather them letting them stay so probably then but the way the grown ups are openly contesting over this idea that too in front of the kids is just filler scene tbh...

. You are right . Ahilya is so protective of her friend she does not understand anybody else’s emotions. She keeps going forward holding Remus hand. She even blamed Malhar that he messed up by letting Renugo go another house.

in fact, he allowed renu to stay with her. i'm not sure if they have a guest room (or whatever it was called back in the day), she couldve probably stayed there instead of keeping her outside.

. From what I saw Rani threatened to go on a fast and Malhar caved in and is letting her stay with Bhalji the stable keeper. Renu understands and says Malhar is nicer to her than her own father who calls her a bad omen. The amount of understanding Renu has of life and people Ahilya does not have. She is adamant about Renu staying in the palace since Malhar told her that in Chaundi. Renu belongs to another house and if Malhar finds a house for her to stay close by is it not good enough? Why does not Ahilya understand that?

Ahilya is a kid. She doesn't understand things and she is meant to be immature. IDK why people expect her to be good old bahu when that's clearly not how she is. A character happens to have an arc which changes throughout the story. Ahilya is childish, foolish, often ignorant of people about her, but that's the beginning. It's the writers' job to give her a proper character growth as she ages. It's their job to make mould her into a better person than she is right now. Though not sure how closely the nuances of the characters would be followed but I do seriously hope that the show gets better as the characters grow up.

I hope so too. If they show her to be having her faults like immaturity ignorant etc. They showed her as sympathetic empathetic person that I can understand. But they glorify anything she does and always show others as bad. BTW has not Malhar seen any other child widow ever before? Suddenly he feels like uplifting the suffering people like Renu. She happens to be Ahilyas friend . What about the rest of the world? They are not “shaping” up her character . They show her as fully developed from now on

That's Indian telly for you. They use facts, tropes, and truth depending on their own convenience. Facts don't matter. Truth doesn't matter. If it fits for a particular episode, so they include it. It's then forgotten until it's needed for the plot to move elsewhere in the show. Which is why it's better to watch Indian shows with a pinch of salt. Otherwise you'll end up scratching your head for sheer stupidity shown in them.
