Kartik- Karans fight turns uglier

Karthik is not really some brilliant actor who is a gift to bollywood but I stand by my initial response when this whole mess happened. Karan tried to do him dirty and Karthik misjudged his place and stepped out of "his lane" Karan couldn't put up with this type of behavior from someone who is not one of his lovely butt-patters. 😳

Kartik Aaryan had come on board Dostana 2 in 2019 for a minimal amount of Rs. 2-3 crores, and at present his market value is upside of Rs. 10 crores. At first he asked Karan for a hike in his acting fees mid-way as his market value had gone up big time in the last two years.

Would Kartik have reduced his salary if his films started flopping and his market value dropped? Had Karan done that, would Kartik have been ok with it? I am sure not.

Imagine you are employee in a regular firm, you get salary raise once every year. But you cannot in the middle of the project say that either you raise my salary, or I'll quit. That's blackmail. And unlike regular firms, where someone else can still replace you, one cannot replace an actor in a film for obvious reasons.

You made a commitment, you stick to it. You cannot keep re-negotiating salary in the middle of a film. Highly unprofessional behaviour from Kartik.

The fact that Karan chose to be ok with 20 crores of loss of production costs, instead of increasing Kartik's fees and massaging his ego, shows that he didn't want to work with a toxic person anymore. Good riddance!

And this should serve as a warning to all those producers who may cast him in big projects whose shoot may continue for 1-2 years. Who knows if he will start re-negotiating his salary based on his market price in the middle of a film! And if you don't comply, he will act unprofessional with his silly tactics.

Kartik is unreasonable and Karan as usual a drama queen. Expecting trust and faith in business? What is this Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki?

Kjo tried to play dirty with Kartik but he didn’t give in. It does suck to be underpaid. Im sure newbie and Jhanvi were being paid close to Kartik it would have been simpler to just give him a bump if Kjo didn’t want to sign him for a second film. Easy peasy

The fall and fall of Dharma.Karthik has given so many hits..and is young..he will get many producers.(Amusing to see nepokid fans only mentioning "acting " as it can't be quantified.

Kjo,will survive on donations from starstruck rich kids who want an exciting way to spend their parents money.

The only person I feel sorry for is Ayan..he could have made 3 films after YJHD.I wonder what he earns these days..

Gotta love how he had the gall to demand what he wanted on Karan's face. Must have had KJo boiling at his audacity....I mean how DARE he speak out of line, that nobody?? 😡😆

I am just happy to see that he managed to irk KJO and his Nepo worshipping a** to a degree where Dharma had to make that mega passive-aggressive post about their "dignified silence" (🤪🤡) on what transpired between the two parties.

This! Karthik was being unprofessionnal here. Once you sign a contract, you have to stick with its conditions. The world would be a mess if people could easily change the terms of a contract at their whim.

Also I don't get why are people mentioning the fact that Kartik is an outsider. It has nothing to do with this issue. Let's not forget that KJO didn't sign Kareena for KHNH because she wanted too much of a big fee too.
