I agree . There are many nepokids who disappeared from screens after some time. I think maybe because they realized that it is not a fun job🤓.. it recuires lots of hardwork. Still if they are interested .. and even if they give multi flop dramas they can still get work , like : Shahroze Sabzwari .. while the likes of Ahmad Ali Akbar and Wahaj Ali can hardly get solo lead roles.smiley13

There are many examples of star kids who don't have a successful career because they lack the talent such as Waheed Murad son, firdous jamal son, imran asraf brother, ali zafar brother etc.

I think FJ's son quit because of his father's controversary.😉 Imran Ashraf's bro is still in the beginning.. you just wait and see.😃 But yes we have many nepokids who aren't getting much work nowadays like: Danial Raheel and Areeba Alvi .

Nepotism exists in every industry to an extent and it's impossible to get rid of it. The problem isn't with starkids/siblings wishing to enter the same profession as their parents or siblings but with them getting showered with opportunities at an initial stage when they aren't ready for it. Personally I find it to be unfair if someone is handed a well written leading role in a huge scale drama on a platter even when their acting is mediocre just because their parents are big names in the industry. It is unfair to the talented actors who are unable to get opportunities due to their lack of connections? Why can't the nepokids begin with supporting roles at first, polish their skills and bag lead roles when they are ready for it? Unless and until they are exceptionally talented,I don't see any reason for them to receive special privileges.

Channels and producers prefer repeating the same actors as they can manage the scheduls of their different shows if those actors are doing more than a show at the same time .😊

Nothing can really be proved. Because even star kids say that they have failed auditions initially. Camps is fine but it's obvious some are favoured more. Some actors, actresses are all over the place. Are they more talented? I dont think so.. Rahat kazmi was a popular actor yet his son struggled to get roles, he even admitted to it. I think it's unfair to say someone got success because of family while then praise someone who got success and isnt related to industry yet slept around for roles.

@orange . In drama industry I doubt it that someone can go this far to get a role.😕 but maybe. 🤓 I know there are many mediocre actors who are getting roles , because of their looks.. I am planning a new thread about Models.😃

Coming to struggling starkids.. yes . I agree that Ali Kazmi is badly underrated , but at least he got his first break easily. 😊 After that is up to audience to accept actors or ignore them. 🤓

There are few nepokids who managed to stay longer because they didn't insist on solo lead roles.. like : Ali Abbas who did many side and negative roles. I think he is doing good.. and is one of the busiest actors.😊

Oh you think casting couch doesn't exist in Pakistan television industry then?

Audience will accept or not, if an actor gets the right chances to show their talent. You cant just say he or she got their first break and they will be accepted straightaway.

They are many actors and actresses who ended getting plum roles at the start itself without being related the industry in any wa,y, so how did they get those opportunities. On talent , i really doubt.

Thank you for joining the discussion.smiley1

I agree. My only problem with nepotism is that opportunities are more for nepokids unlike outsiders. It is important to start with small roles unless the actor goes through auditions to get the role. I too want to see all ppl having the same opportunities. smiley4

It works both ways I believe. We dont know if those who claim to be outsiders are giving auditions either. What's the proof there? I mean they may have unknown internal contacts or are using casting couch to get their first breaks and roles. Anyways Its easy to call out star kids because they are soft targets. 😊

There's no guarantee that if an actor got a lead role that he'll be accepted. smiley1 Look at Faizan Khawaja who is a starkid, and is a talented actor.. but is still not considered an big name. smiley23 They are many actors and actresses who ended getting plum roles at the start itself without being related the industry in any wa,y, so how did they get those opportunities. I agree . There are many outsiders who bag lead roles although they aren't super talented, mostly because of their looks , like: Alizay Shah .

I wont put down any names, it's not fair as I dont know what goes behind the closed doors. My point is both nepotism and casting couch exist in the entertainment field so its wrong to judge and take away credit either way. 😊

Also Raza. 😆 In fact I feel like HUM tv is famous by supporting Nepokids. Ahad, Hamza Firdous, Zara Noor , Noor Khan, Hamza Sohail and many others . 🤓

See what did Fazila Qazi and her husband Qaisar Khan say about Nepotism :
