Part 2

As Virat entered his room, he could see Sai was no where. A sound of water flowing from tap, indicated she was inside washroom. Virat thought " abhi Sai shower le rahi hogi, matlab mere pass 10-15 min aur hai yeh sochne ke liye ke mein usse kya baat karun". 😒Thinking about what Karishma had just told, he continued " yeah Gabbar toh mein hoon, iska matlab Sai mujhse pyaar karti hai" 

A happy smile ran through his face acknowledge that fact. His heart was beating faster on what he would say on his confrontation speech. " Sai mujhe se pyaar karti hai" he repeated it 2-3 times to himself, to assure what he assumed was true. " phir usne mujh se kuch kaha kyun nahi". 

Then his mind went back where Ashwini has read those draft messages " mein aapka khane par wait karungi, means woh roz mera wait karti hai, yeh dekhne ke liye ki mein bhuka na so jaun". 

His mind flashed with next message " aapke saath ghumna acha lagta hai, kyunki aap mujhe special feel karwate ho,like really, mein toh use bas khush dekhna chahta hoon. Woh haste hue kitni achi lagti hai .  Waise sahi bhi hai yahan sabke taane sun ke kise acha lagega. May be she gets some respite, jab woh mere saath hoti hai. mujhe bhi uske saath time spent karna acha lagta hai". Digging further he recalled " pata nahi aap meri feelings samjhoge yaa nahi, kyun nahi samjhunga Sai. ek bar bol ke toh dekho"

He wondered why has she never shared what was in her heart to him. Was she was always like that and he failed to notice it. He wanted an answer, when his brain went in flashback again " pata nahi kyun aisa lagta hai, aap apni best friend se pyar karte ho, mere hone na hone se aapko koi farak padta hai yaa nahi, meri best friend matlab Pakhi. Toh Sai ko lagta hai, that I still love her, but just as a friend Sai. usse zada kuch nahi. Woh mere bhai ki biwi hai air meri achi dost usse zada kuch nahi. Aur tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai ki tumhare na hone se mujhe koi farak nahi padta. Bahut farak padta hai,kaise bataun tum hoti ho ton lagta hai mein zinda noon, saans le raha hoon. Tumhare saath mein , mein hota hoon aur tum sochti ho koi farak padta hai ya nahi"

There was a knock on door, Ashwini was standing with two plates in her hand. She said " mujhe lagta hai aaj Sai gussa hogi Jo bhi neeche hua usse. tu ek kaam kar aaj dinner yahi kar le , uska mood thik kar de.tum log neeche mat aao".

Virat nodded his head in affirmation. He took those two plates and placed in on the table. He still thought what he will talk with her, until not asked in spasht shabdo mein. No, she won't , she has been hiding her feelings all this while. And ACP Virat Chavan cannot ask her such direct question.

Suddenly the washroom door opened, Sai was dressed in her sky blue Kurta. She ignored his presence and went straight to dressing table, drying her wet hair. 

Virat asked from behind " kitne aadmi the" in a bossy voice. 

Sai irked " sirf ek. Aap".She turned back to face him and continued " aur yeh aap mujh se Gabar ki tarah kyun baat kar rahe hai. Aapne sholay ke alawa koi film nahi dekhi kya"

Virat blushed 😳a little when she said sirf ek, aap. He smirked, with his crossed hands continued " nahi dekhi.mujhe basanti kafi pasand hai kyunki. uske saath rehke Gabar ka entertainment hota rehta hai"

Sai retorted " haan par basanti ko veeru pasand hai. Gabar nahi. woh sirf Veeru se pyar karti hai"

Virat questioned further " aur kaise hoga agar basanti ko pata chale. Veeru aur Gabar ek hi hai. Kahani mein twist. Par phir bhi kya basanti Gabar se pyar karegi?"🤔

Sai answered " kyun nahi karegi. pyar toh pyar hota hai. chehra badalne se insaan thodi badalta uska dil toh wahi rehta hai na. toh basanti Gabar se bhi pyar karegi. Bas Gabar ko pata hona chaiye ki who basanti se pyar karta hai yaa nahi"

Virat was taken aback by her reply, probably she was right. He has to know the answer first from himself that he loves Sai. He smiled at her and answered " ab woh tum Gabbar pe chod do. Woh iska jawab dhund lega.Raat bahut hogayi hai, chalo khana khate hai"

He smiled, sitting beside the table where plates were placed. Though he got to know that his wife had feelings for him. But he needed to be sure from his side, did he feel same for her as well , before any further confrontation. Until then he was happy being her " Gabbar".

I loved it. sai is so upfront about her feelings. I wish Virat would also figure out what his feelings are and confess! I loved the sholay references. Gabbar and veeru (yaani Virat’spet name) same hi hai. 😀And Sais response to kitne aadmi the- Sirf ek, aap!
