Chapter 1: Back to Home

Riya had gotten better and was discharged soon. Shree and Chotu were with her to watch her in case she falls because of weakness. Riya disbelievingly looks at her two boys who seem to watch her steps very carefully. She giggles "Has mat Riya sambhalke chal." Shree instructs. 

Riya presses her lips to control her laughter and does as she is told. Outside the hospital they see ETF car and Sameer. Sameer walks upto them and takes the luggage of Chotu's shoulder and keeps it behind the car. Riya looks at him with a small smile. 

"Arjun kaam se bahar gaya hai. Toh main aa gaya." He says and Riya looks at him shocked. ChoRee smirk at this statement of Sameer. 

"Sir?!" she questions. 

"Haan itne dino se woh aa raha tha. Toh mujhe laga tum aaj bhi usska wait kar rahi ho." Sameer states casually. She looks down not maintaining any sort of eye contact with the Chief. They all sit and Sameer drives off to Riya's home. 

There Sameer gets down and opens the door for Riya. Riya smiles at his gesture. He then moves towards the Dickey and opens it. Both him and Shree take out the luggage and Chotu moves it to the entrance of Riya's home and opens the door. Shree holds her hand and takes her inside. Sameer follows behind and so does Chotu with the luggage. 

Riya takes seat on the sofa "Riya tum apna khayal rakhna. Aur yeh fruits tumhare liye." Sameer hands her the basket. She smiles "Thank you so much Sir."

He turns to ChoRee "Tum log thodi der baad office aa jana." he instructs. 

"Yes sir!" Both reply happily. Ri widens her eyes asking them to control themselves. 

"Aur haan Riya tumhaari training jaldi start karenge." Rathode says as Riya had told the same thing when in hospital fighting with Xora "Sir main aap se waapas training lena chahungi."

She smiles and Sameer also smiles and leaves.

The boys set up Riya's luggage back in its place and come to her. Suddenly there is a message beep in Riya's mobile and Shree picks it up as Ri is unable to since she is far away from it. 

As soon as Shree sees the name he gets excited "Oh ho! Arjun sir ka message aaya hai." Shree excitedly announces. Riya has a happy smile on her face with tinge of blush spread across her cheeks. Chotu grabs the mobile from Shree's hands "Mujhe padne de." 

"Riya I hope tum ghar pahunch chuki ho. Apna khayal rakhna aur kissi cheez ki zaroorat ho toh call kar lena."  Chotu reads the text.

"Awww!!" Scream Chotu and Shree. Riya takes the mobile from Chotu's hands and reads it again and again. 

"Waise unko call karne se acha hai text karlo." Chotu says and both Shree and Riya look at each other and then at Chotu raising their eyebrows.

"Haan mera matlab hai unki woh Khadoos si aawaaz sunkar agar aur bimar ho gayi toh?" Chotu jokes and hi-fies Shree. Riya widens her eyes asking them to shut up. 

"Guys kuch bhi matlab." Riya states sternly. 

"Theek hai theek hai Arjun sir ki advocate mat ban ab." Shree says joining his hands. Riya smiles at his antics. Chotu instructs

"Hum jaa rahe hai. Aur kissi cheez ki zaroorat ho..." Chotu and Shree both continue "Toh Arjun sir ko call kar lena." And leave a blushing Riya behind. 

She reads the message again again. So much that she lost count. Her love for Arjun was very visible through her eyes.

Evening she hears a knock on the door and despite nurse being there she walks up to open it as she was in the living room itself. She slowly walks to door and opens it and looking at the person at the door she gets shocked. 

"Sir aap yahaan?" She asks quizzed. She was happy but at the same time puzzled by his sudden arrival. 

"Haan woh milne aaya tha. Tum theek ho?" He asks. 

"Haan sir main theek hun. Pata nahi kyun mujhe aise bitha ke rakha hai sab ne." She complains cutely. 

"Kyunki tum abhi bhi uss attack ki wajah se weak ho. You need rest. Aur yeh lo fruits tumhare liye." Saying so Arjun hands over the fruit basket to her. 

"Fruits? Phir se? Chocolate koi la sakta hai na." She pouts looking at the fruit basket in her hand. Then she realises something and hands it back to Arjun "Sir aap woh yeh kitchen mein rakh denge?" She requests. Arjun obliges to it and walks to the kitchen counter only to see a similar basket there. 

"Yeh?" He thinks. 

"Haan sir woh Rathode sir leke aaye the." she says with a smile urf smirk.

Arjun looks at her and his face hardens "Haan toh basic fruits hi hai yeh sab." He states. 

"Quantity bhi basic hai?" she asks further "I mean maine aaj tak nahi pada ki do log ek jaise fruits aur woh bhi same quantity ka khareedte hai." She states. 

Arjun glares at her "Riya inn sab baaton pe tum dhyaan na hi do toh behtar hai." He orders. 

"Sir khaas rishta toh hai aapke aur Rathode sir ke beech. Aur time ke saath sab theek ho jaata hai." She states and walks back to the sofa. Arjun walks behind her and takes seat opposite to her. 

"Sir woh main duty kab rejoin kar sakti hun?" She asks as she gets bored sitting alone without any work and without any friends especially Arjun. 

"Tum iss baare mein Rathode se baat kar lena." Arjun says. She nods her head in agreement and looks at him sipping water. She smiles. 

After a few days she joins back to ETF and their regular routine starts with cases, discussion, paper works and lots of fun and masti. Arjun also felt a bit calm now and Sameer kept on noticing these changes in him. He started observing the control Arjun had over his anger. There was change, a beautiful change.

Chapter 2: Separation 

It has been over 2 years since Arjun is searching for Sikandar and still no clue or information could be gathered. Pathan would not open his mouth, no matter how much Arjun would hit him. He was a loyal pet of Sikandar. He would rather die than letting out information.

Arjun has started to get more restless but Riya was the person getting calmness in his boat affected by the storm. Riya was like the calmness after a storm because of which Arjun could focus much better on his goal.  

On one fine day Arjun reaches his office when Riya Chotu and Shree wish him good morning. He reciprocates the wishes and goes to his cabin. The tea seller comes inside and keeps the cutting chai on his table. Arjun then sits and scans all the files present, when his eyes fall upon a brown file with the S logo very much known to him. 

His anger knows no bounds and he gets up instantly from his chair. He turns the papers of the file to see that it is Sikandar's information. He comes out of his cabin with the file "Mere cabin mein kon gaya tha?" He screams. 

"Kon?" His anger rises. He wants to know who was it who kept the file on his table. He looks at everyone whose eyes reveal that they have no idea. 

"Sir hum nahi jaante. Hum toh abhi aaye hai." Riya slowly says. Arjun turns to look at her, which shows concern for his short-temper. He breathes and cools himself down. 

"Kya koi bahar se aaya tha?" Arjun asks. 

"Nahi sir koi nahi." answers Chotu. 

"Phir yeh file rakha kisne table par?" He slams the file on the desk. The trio look at it and realise it is Sikandar's file. They get worried for Arjun.

"Chila kyun rahe ho Rawate?" Rathode growls as he comes inside the office. 

"Yeh file dekh!" Arjun hands him the file. Sameer without seeing keeps it aside "Ab yeh kya tamasha laga rakha hai tumne." He chides. 

"Subah subah tamasha karne ki zaroorat nahi hai." Sameer further orders. 

"Tamasha? Yeh Sikandar ki file hai Rathode. Usski details hai issmein." Arjun shows him the file. 

"Toh jaake dhund na yahaan sabko daraane ka matalab?" Rathode asks in the same tone. 

"Main bas tum se yeh kehna chahta tha Rathode ki main sahi tha aur tu galat. Sikandar hai. Aur jisse tum mera pagalpan bol rahe ho, woh abhi kuch hi pal ka mehmaan hai." Arjun states in determination. 

Riya Chotu Shree look at Arjun proudly. "Theek hai tujhe jo karna hai tu woh kar." Rathode says and walks towards his cabin. 

"Ruko Rathode!" Sameer stops at this and turns "Tu yahaan kab aaya?" Arjun asks. 

Rathode rolls his eyes "Iss sawal ka jawaab dena main zaroori nahi samjhta." 

"Jawaab diye bagair main tumhe jaane nahi dunga." Arjun also replies determined. "Kab aaye the?" He stresses and asks. 

Juniors look at the two terrified as the two can anytime blast on each other which can deteriorate their relationship to such an extent that they can't work with each other. 

"Mujhe question karne ka tumhe koi haq nahi hai. Bhulo mat main Chief hun ETF ka." Sameer growls. 

"Main bhula nahi hun Rathode. Puch raha hun. Jawab de." Arjun says. 

"Sir Rathode sir toh abhi aaye hai na. Hum sab ne dekha." Riya answers so that Arjun doesn't blast out. 

"Riya main tumse nahi puch raha Rathode se puch raha hun." Arjun scolds her for interfering. 

"Main abhi aaya Rawate." Sameer answers as he is tensed for his juniors who can be an easy victim of Arjun's anger. 

"Acha? Car ki chaabi?" Arjun asks. 

Sameer gets irritated but still he takes out and shows. "Tum ne Sikandar ka naam sunke react kyun nahi kiya?" Arjun asks. 

"Yeh vehem ki Sikandar exist karta hai tum paal rahe ho, main nahi. Toh jo karna chahte ho karo. Main tumhe kuch bhi samjhane ka haq kho chuka hun." Sameer states. Arjun softens a bit at this. He now is sure that it was Sameer who kept the file. 

By now Sameer's phone rings and he picks up hesitatingly "Yes sir." He starts his conversation when Arjun just snatches the mobile from him and listens to the person on other side. 

"Waah Coelho sir Sikandar ko dhundne ki secret agency mein sirf ek insan kaam karta tha? Rathode?" He asks shocked and angered at the same time. 

Coelho on the other side scratches his head "Arjun... Woh karna chahta tha aur main usse rokna nahi chahta tha." Coelho answers but by then Arjun cuts the call on his face. Coelho realises that Sameer is in a terrible situation and rushes to his help. 

"Waah Rathode. Yeh acha hai. Itni badi baat chupaane ki koi khaas wajah?" Arjun asks sarcastically and angrily. 

"Haan kyunki yeh baat unhe batayi jaati hai jinhe hum apna maante hai. Aur tune toh bohot pehle hi humein paraya kar diya tha." Sameer replies not budging down. Arjun feels remorseful for his actions. 

"Kyun Rawate? Jab Sikandar ko dhundne ki baari aayi tu akela chala gaya yeh bolke ki tumhe department par bharosa nahi. Yeh bhi nahi socha ki iss department mein main bhi aata hun. Toh ab main kyun sochun?" He questions. Arjun looks down in guilt. 

By now Coelho arrives and takes both of them to Sameer's cabin "Kya bachon ki tarah lad rahe ho?" He chides the two. 

"Main nahi yeh kar raha hai sir." Rathode speaks up. Arjun looks at him disbelieved. 

Coelho nods at his Juniors. "Arjun ab jab tumhe information mil gayi hai. I think tumhe jana chahiye woh bhi jald se jald." Coelho states.

"Yeh kal chala jaayega sir." Sameer states. 

"Yeh kab decide hua?" Arjun turns to him and asks. 

"Abhi. Jald se jald." Sameer orders and Coelho too supports Sameer. Arjun agrees to leave the very next day but not before talking to his juniors especially his silent support, Riya. 

He goes out of the cabin with Sameer. "Guys Rawate kal jaa raha hai. Toh best wishes jo bhi deni ho de do abhi." And leaves back to his cabin to discuss few important matters, like a cover for Arjun's absence. 

"All the best sir." Chotu wishes.

"Haan sir apna badla pura karke hi lautna." Shree adds. Arjun nods at his juniors wishes. Soon Chotu and Shree leave from there citing some work leaving Arjun and Riya to talk to each other. 

"All the best sir. Roshni ji ko insaaf aap dilayenge zaroor." She assures and Arjun nods his head with a light smile. 

"Waise aane me baad mujhe kuch jaan na hai." Arjun states. Riya looks at him confused "Kya sir?" she asks softly. 

"Wahi ki woh kon sa raaz hai jo Shree ko bahar nahi karna tha." Arjun states and looks at Riya whose eyes are widened by this sudden statement from him. "Inhe yaad hai? Main kya bolun ab?" She thinks. 

"Sir konsi baat?" Riya acts unknown. 

"Tum ek bohot achi officer ho Riya lekin yeh natak mujhpe nahi chalega." Arjun looks at her while she is not able to make eye contact.

"Sir mujhe sach mein yaad nahi hai." She looks at him and answers. 

"Theek hai mere wapas aane ke baad yaad aa sakta hai na?" He asks genuinely. 

"Haan aa sakta hai shayad." Riya answers with slight hesitation. Arjun doesn't express much of his emotions. 

"Waise sir aap kab aayenge?" She asks 

"Pata nahin." Arjun answers.

"3 mahine maximum Rawate. Usske baad tumhe wapas aana hoga. Plan revise hoga. Kyunki 3 mahine se zyada tumhari absence ka cover nahi daal sakte. Aur Sikandar ko pata chal gaya toh problem bad sakti hai." Rathode hears Arjun and orders. Arjun also knows that Sameer is right and hence doesn't argue. 

"3 mahine." He assures Riya as she smiles back at him. Arjun and Sameer leave from there to discuss major aspects of the mission. 

Arjun leaves early the next morning with the hope of coming back. To ETF, his team and Sam, whom he left in search of Sikandar, who now gave an important lead to him.

Epilogue 

Sameer got the information about Sikandar getting killed and he knew very well that it was Arjun. He informs everyone about this and their joy knew no bounds. Especially Riya who was waiting for him from so long. Praying for his safety constantly and keeping puja and vrat for his mission accomplishment. 

After 2 days Arjun returns to ETF office and all clap for him as he enters. At first he gets irritated but when he sees Sameer clapping he gets happy and relieved. He walks up to him. They both look at each other. A lot of hurt, pain, questions and answers were to be shared or asked or given. 

Chotu and Shree see that their seniors are not able to let go off their ego and hence push them against each other so that they hug. Risky but worth it. They embrace each other in a hug where most of their pain and fears get erased. 

Arjun then turns to Riya and looks at her smile. She forwards her hand to congratulate him and he reciprocates in the same manner. All leave from there when they see Arjun not leaving Riya's hand, which meant he wanted to have a private talk with her. Riya gets embarrassed at this. 

"Sir haath chodiye." She requests.

But instead of leaving he pulls her close to him "Aaj shaam 7 baje pick karunga ready rehna." 

She flushes at this "Kiss liye sir?" She asks acting unknown.

"Secret batane ke liye." he winks "Aur apne senior ko mana nahi kar sakti tum." He states and leaves from there leaving a flustered Riya behind.

Last part was really sweet a new start of a beautiful relationship of Ariya
