exactly. Haider sort of is going through with it to spite his ex. Like when he heard DN's family had said yes, he didnot look immediately happy. Which is why i wont feel bad for him when hamza will make his life problematic. Hello everyone. I am posting here for the first time. :) Recently started watching this show and I am quite a fan. But after coming here i felt I am in minority 🙈 I personally find Haider most relatable. Never knew about Faisal Qureshi but he is a brilliant actor and playing the part of a rejected lover to the T. I personally didnt find anything wrong with him selecting Dilnasheen despite being unable to move on from Mehmal. Mehmal is not what he wants....He is just stuck up to his first love but he doesn't want to get her any more. In the the first epi his doc friend explains to him that if you happen to like someone (pasandgi) , if someone is sweet and good to talk to, You should give marriage a thought. That's what he did with Dilnasheen. He liked her innocence and said yes. Reason to get married is not love at first sight for Dilnasheen but because of his mom and family. He has not moved on from the pain he got from Mehmal and only starting to hope to start a new life. That's why he was little taken aback when it was a yes. He is unsure and scared yet. Doubtful if he is even ready for a new rship. I feel we try to idealise life a lot in dramas like he should choose DN only when he has moved on..No.. doesn't happen that way. Moving on is messy and despite being unable to move on from exes no one wants to end up lonely as well. He chose DN solely coz even he realises he should get married else he will be lonely forever. I just wish he communicates this to her.

On the other hand Hamza is not relatable to me at all 🙈 Though Wahaj is so hot and acts so freaking well 😍 But he is more or less a stubborn brat who wants what he wants. The least he could have done is said sorry on behalf of his parents to DN's parents 🤧 But he never addressed it. Also when he comes to meet her after being gayab, not even once he asks how is she. Or if he should apologise to her parents. The thing he cared about was going out 🙄

Last about DN, I think she doesn't love Hamza. She thinks she loves him because he is the only guy in her life...who loved her yet. She loves the feeling of being loved. She is always hesitant around him. When he asked do you trust me....she wasnt sure. Just nodded reluctantly. But the way she smiled remembering Haider adore her when they got locked 😍 I think that fondness is not there for Hamza. I know its difficult to explain bcoz it seems she is madly in love with hamza but actually in most scenes we only see Hamza being obssessed to her and she listening. Whereas it's only Haider whom she remembers and giggles for when she is alone. Even teases about him calling him uncle.. 😂 It wasnt out of the blue i guess.. .the writers made a point to add this detail. Its a plot point that despite being in a rship, she unknowingly likes Haider's admiration. She didn't realise she was blushing but she was. It happens so often.. It's not that she cheated on Hamza or something...Just that she didn't even realise but she adored someone's attention. I'd have to give it to Hiba here. Because the short lived blush DN had for Haider was so much more happy and affectionate than what she had for Hamza anywhere.

Now waiting for next epis...just hope they cut down on the slaps and suicides and typecast things like ladkiyon ko husband ka dhyaan rakhna chahiye crap. This was issue with Suno Chanda too as Arsal only wants Jiya to take care of him and their rship than go study. 😶 Though Haider hasn't had a stand on this subject yet

, he probably didnt make a point on this issue because he saw the girl's mom too isnt keen. He had no reasons to force the girl's mom to get her studies completed because he doesn't know DN's take on it. May be she herself doesn't want to continue with her studies. Clearly he didn't want to force his wish ( DN completing her exams) on her mom. Cant say anything on this until there is a conversation b/w Haider and DN.

You explained it very well. He is trying his best to move on.. his act in front of Mehmal, that he recieved a call from DN proves that he didn't want to give Mehmal a chance that he isn't getting married because he couldn't get her, but because he and DN like eachother.😉

Hamza reminded me a little bit of Sameer (Salman Khan ) in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He kept enjoying his love with Nandini, and didn't feel the need to propose her untill it was too late. 😔 Hamza could'be tested the waters in his home before DN got the proposal.. 🥺

Cliches are main part of Geo dramas. So I expect such things to happen. We've seen glimpses of them in promos.😆

She is gonna accuse haider of cheating and his ex is gonna add ghee to fire also. This rectangle story will be really crazy

No. DN won't cheat on Haidar, but Hamza and Mehmal will create misunderstandings between them. DN is already over Hamza. She threw his mobile in dust pin after she sent him the last pic. She called it a funeral of their love. So I don't think she has any feelings remained for Hamza.

Caught up with the epis

I think all 4 characters are FLAWED and not a single character can be put on a pedestel

1. Hamza - He is childish and immature. He thought that by going missing for a while his parents will freak out and agree to his demads but his parents instead of agreeing to his demands, went and humiliated DN's parents

Then Hamza asked DN if he could go and directly speak to her parents so that at least they can buy some time BUT DN refused and asked him to convince his parents to apologise which again hamza couldn't do

He did try to stop the wedding though his ways were highly impulsive and immature. I don't think he realises the gravity of the situation otherwise who asks the girl to go our for lunch with him in these situations !

DN's marriage to Haider is what will shake him up to the core and we see his descent to the dark side coz it will be his FITOOR to get DN back and i can't wait to see that. It will be fun to watch Wahaj as the obsessive, dark Hamza

2. Haider - He so far is bland ! He is clearly not over Mehmal and marrying DN is a way for him to try and move on in life.

Plus in the promos Haider seemed quite hypocrital. He was ready to slap DN while he himself spoke about marrrying Mehmal.

Also his mom and DN's mom seems regreesive ? What's up with not preferring girls to continue studies post marriage ? I was hoping that Haider will interfere but he didn't. That was disappointing

3. Mehmal - Is clearly selfish. She doesn't love Haider but NEEDS him. It's her need to feel loved and nothing else.

4. DN - She instigated Hamza by sending him her engagement pics ! What was the point !

He asked her if he could directly speak to her fam BUT she refused !

She went out with him despite knowing the situation.

For me all 4 are flawed at this point. Let's see how the story shapes up.

I think DN and Haider will fall in love but Hamza and Mehmal will try to create a mess in their lives.

I am excited to see Wahaj in a dark character. He is slaying so far

Kiran is super hot

Hiba is decent but i can't connect with DN.

Faysal is decent too but his character is bland so far

I guess i am finding the baddies more interesting this time around

P.S. - A couple of interesting things. Hiba in her interview clarifed that she was asked by the director to think of Hamza so she gave romantic, lovey dovey expressions keeping in mind that DN is in love with Hamza

But she was shocked to see that in the episode in place of Hamza there were Haider's clips put 😆 She said she got a lot of flack for that but she enacted the scene keeping Hamza in mind

Next Hiba clarified that in the first scene she didn't pit lipstick but only chapstick yet it appeared as if she was wearing a dark shade lipstick and Wahaj's lips looked pink ...that was coz of color grading and it was not their or make up artist's fault😆

She said people are too quick to judge but at times actors are not even at fault

Nice review 👍 And interesting info 🤓 If they are making last minute edits too, I really hope they skip the slap shown in promo. Like already the brother's slap was disturbing, Kindly dont make any of the heroes do it. Haider and DN can fight as much as they want , even if they doubt eo it's ok, that's the script, but any sort of physical abuse is not ok.

@bold,About that momentary blush which DN had for Haider : In a recent interview of hers,Hiba clarified that she was instructed by the director to think of Hamza in that scene and she acted accordingly. However due to an editing blooper,Haider's flashbacks were added and it came as a shock to Hiba herself because that's not who her character was thinking of.So that fond look was basically for Hamza.

@red,Hamza's fatal flaw is his impulsiveness and lack of foresight and I don't deny it. But he did address that issue and was keen on speaking to her family himself and sort out the matter.It was DN who convinced him not to and he respected her wishes.And he didn't ask about her well being? He appeared concerned after finding out that her phone had been broken by her brother and also enquired about her studies. And I also don't believe that what Hamza feels for Dilnasheen is merely an obsession. His obsessive side is just one of the many facets of his character. He was always serious about DN and wasn't fooling around with her. He had planned everything along with her and they were waiting for the right moment. He tried his best to convince his parents in a polite manner and lost his cool only when they vehemently refused to understand his POV.I don't see how he was at fault in the entire scenario except for the fact that he couldn't fathom his parents' ruthlessness.

Regarding his obsessive streak,an interesting point which I noticed is how Hamza tries to restrain that side of his. I feel he is well aware of it which is why he does his best to control it.Be it in the scene in which he comes to meet DN or the one in which he faces his parents. He keeps switching between his dual personas as he tries to keep his obsession at bay.It is only when he loses his love which is also his greatest fear that he will shed all inhibitions and give in to the darkness.

About DN's love for Hamza,she is crazy for him as well,albeit in a different manner. Sending pics of herself to him on her engagement day despite him begging not to seemed like a move to torment him further. One wouldn't do something of this sort if there wasn't a tinge of madness in their feelings.

@blue, The reason why I personally can't connect to the entire Haider × Dilnasheen equation lies in one word. Choice. Haider chose Dilnasheen but she never chose him. My problem wasn't with him liking Dilnasheen. It was with the fact that he didn't bother to interact or get to know her first. He didn't bother to know whether she is interested in him or not.If I were in DN's place then,irrespective of whether I had a boyfriend or not,I would be freaked out that a man 15 years older to me who's practically a stranger has decided that he's interested in marrying me. Had he just tried to talk with DN once before jumping to the marriage issue then he would have found out whether she is interested in continuing her studies or not or whether she is even happy with this proposal in the first place. In this particular scenario,DN isn't treated like a person but like an object who is expected to bend as per everyone's will.But at the same time I am aware that such incidents aren't uncommon even in this era because orthodox patriarchal societies still exist where women aren't given a choice. Men like Haider,despite being inherently good at heart,are products of the same society and it reflects in their thinking.

The entire Mehmal issue appears more complicated to me because Mehmal isn't Haider's long lost love about whom he reminisces from time to time. She is his cousin who is very much a part of his life and he clearly has unresolved feelings for her. He has to face her often,sends her voice notes,watches their old moments on a projector nonetheless lol. This reminds me of Prince Charles who chose to marry Lady Diana for the sake of his family and duty when he had clearly nor gotten over his feelings for his former lover Camilla. The fact that Camilla was a part of his social circle whom he hadn't or couldn't cut off completely post marriage worsened the situation. And we are all aware with the tragedy that followed.

In my opinion,he should have given up on Mehmal long ago because unlike DN and Hamza,the love which Haider had for Mehmal wasn't reciprocated. But he obsessively clung on to whatever feelings he had for her. And that is the entire crux of the story. It is a story of obsession with lost love and it applies to both Haider and Hamza. Both Haider and Hamza had two separate teasers which served as introductions to their characters. It was mentioned in those teasers that Hamza's obsession is to win Dilnasheen back whereas Haider's obsession is Mehmal.

One will turn his obsession into a weapon to obtain what he desires the most whereas the other needs to overcome his obsession that ties him down in order to safeguard what he needs the most.

This is precisely what makes this show and all the four characters fascinating to me. They aren't completely black or white to me. All of them are flawed,fallible and yet humane. Even Mehmal,who is clearly a selfish character,is very much aware that her greed and betrayal was what cost her Haider's love. The question of whether these four differently layered characters rise above their flaws or succumb to them simply adds to the intrigue of the show and,in my opinion,stories like these are way more entertaining to watch that the typical,unidimensional,boring stories that involve the whitewashed hero,mahaan heroine,evil villain and scheming vamp.

I can't wait to have further discussions with you. It's going to be a lot of fun ❤️😆

Mehmal is stupid I had seen this actress in TMKH there she was also trying to create problems and same in this show.

Let's see how the story will unfold. Coz I think it is Haidar and his relationship with Mehmal which is going to put the trigger on her, and force her say those awfull words. You can see that Haider is still weak in front of Mehmal.😒

Kiran Haq did many negative and grey roles . I used to hate her. This is a proof that she does her job well.😆
