Saif of hum tum, salaam namaste, kal ho na ho, parineeta was such superstar material, somewhere he didn't capitalize on his talent and hits.

The days of urban rom coms are long gone. Though, I watched Jawaani Jaaneman and it was reminiscent of the films I grew up watching and adore.

Its not the stereotypes that bother me. But the fact that everything seems so superficial these days. Back then also everything was fluffy and cute too but not like nowadays. Also the heroines have barely entered their 20s and are trying to do real grown up roles...I cannot imagine someone who is 20 playing someone much mature and older in age. Its not at all convincing.

Oh I loved Jawaani Jaaneman! One of the best films recently and everyone acted so well. There was such a surge of nostalgia when I watched it. I wish it would've done better than it did.

I don’t think rom coms are gone or dead. Lots of us would like to watch the genre

The thing is that industry has become quite lazy and just investing in remakes and ripoffs. It’s not easy to make a rom com and they’re too lazy to do it.

I rewatched the film on Prime and now I feel it was such a well made rom com! Sid Anand should make more such films.

Saif was so suave and stylish. No one can play the uber cool NRI like him.

Preity was so freakin gorgeous. Such a natural performer! I remember reading a post on hers few days ago and Bollywood hasn't found her replacement. She was truly one of a kind. I hope her American TV show does well.

Their chemistry was so great. And nothing seemed forced if ukwim.

And what a banger soundtrack. My Dil Goes Mmmm is still a fave ❤️ and the title song was such a party favourite! 🤪

Is it just me or were the outfits worn by women back then were more sexy and stylish despite showing skin? Or maybe it has to do with the fact that lead actresses were women and not teens trying to be adults 😆

It was the movie which popularized the concept of “live-in relationships” in India.

Siddharth Anand's movies really make me question my taste back then. Or maybe I've got fussy now.Sid's movies are all kinds of superficial and shallow. Other than the Priety-Saif radio spats and the wonderful songs, the movie has no pluses for me.

I don't even watch films featuring star kids. I steer clear cos I know for a fact that I won't be able to tolerate all the superficiality.

Saif-Preity has such an amazing chemistry. They were so natural. Their acting is also so good. Preity is my favourite actress of all time, sad her career in BW didnt go well.

And i love all the songs., but Tu Jaane Na and My dil goes umm are my favourites, and i still listen to these songs even now.
