Damn! That's very stagnant from Saturday meaning the Family audience for obvious reason hasn't come on board as they did for his last two movies. 70-80ish crores lifetime now?? The movie's a "success" for sure as Ayushmaan movies always need small distribution share to recover.

Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan Has Decent Weekend

Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan had a decent weekend of 30.75 crore nett though the growth on Sunday was limited. The fair value collections of the film are 7 crore nett on Friday. 10.50 crore nett on Saturday and 11 crore nett on Sunday so there was decent growth on Saturday.
The weekend number is good for the film though bigger numbers on Saturday and Sunday would make you confident of strong weekday numbers while its difficult to tell now. The film has done well in Delhi NCR, East Punjab and Rajasthan. Generally North has done well and some parts of Rajasthan behave like North which has probably enabled that circuit to do well. There are no issues with recovery for this film as it got around 40 crore for its satellite and digital rights but that does not much in terms of appreciation and for that it needs to sustain at the box office
The Monday number is very important for the film and just a decent hold would probably make it an AVERAGE film and if it can drop under 50% drop from Friday it could even have a chance of being a HIT as limited competition next week. The first weekend business of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is as follows.
Friday - 9,00,00,000
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 11,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 30,75,00,000 apprx

🤔 How do you figure that? Doesn't hit tag depend on whether distributors make money? At least that's what IF keeps saying. In my admittedly limited understanding, because of low budget, SMZS will also make money and therefore be considered hit.
Aa Ranveer said at the round table, it's all about the RoI. AK brings more RoI than the mainstreamers.
