Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan would be sharing screen space for the first time in David Dhawan’s directorial Coolie No. 1 remake. Fans are pretty excited to see these two actors together on the big screen. Well, there’s another exciting news for all fans of Varun, Sara and also Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. As per reports, Varun and Sara would be recreating the iconic dance number "Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha" that featured Govinda and Karisma.

The song "Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha" was a hit track of the 90s and everyone still enjoys that number. It was a peppy track that was from the original film Coolie No. 1. The song was sung by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu and was composed by Anand Milind. A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama that David Dhawan wants Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to learn and groove as per the original dance. 

The source was quoted as saying, “Varun and Sara have been told by David Dhawan to study the exact dance steps. They aren’t easy. Govinda and Karisma were the best dancers we had. Varun and Sara cannot hope to match up with them. But they will try.” If the reports are true, then we just cannot wait to watch Varun and Sara dancing to this number! Coolie No. 1 remake is all set to hit the theatres on May 1, 2020.

govinda-karishma are not only the best dancers but they are legendary jodi that iconic step not only have them dancing but also their chemistry complement beautifully and varun-sara needs can never match up to that iconic chemistry anyone can dance to bring out the chemistry thats the tough one...they can try but they can never beat govinda-karishma chemistry...the chemistry+dancing what made this song and husn hai suhana an iconic number infact the whole film

While I agree with you mostly, I don’t believe the songs were big hits due to only chemistry and dancing. Its got alot to do with the music and lyrics. Govinda and Karisma have had many dance numbers composed by a variety of composers. But their most famous songs are from the Anand-Milind-Sameer trio. The song was iconic FOR Govinda-Karisma, but it is iconic on its own too.
