Nazdeekiyaan...Closeness...Part 1

Dedicated to cuteariya who asked me to write more on MishAan.

I fixed Krystle as Pari as I felt that she suited Pari's role more than Aneri as Krystle's eyes and complexion are similar to Little Pari Barbie.I cast Barun as Arnav as Barun has played the character Arnav before and he was Krystle's love interest in Baat humari pakki hai.

Two boys were sleeping.

Their grand mother came.She is Radhika.

Radhika:Hey..both of you wake up.Fast...

They did not respond.

Radhika:What will I do to wake up these boys?

Radhika:You remember your father's friend Ishaan uncle?His daughters Pari and Mishti are coming.

Suddenly the boys woke up from the bed fast.

They smiled:Who are coming?

Radhika:Ishaan uncle's daughters Mishti and Pari.

The boys became cheerful.They are Ruhaan and Arnav.

Radhika:Mishti and Pari are joining the college near by as Ishaan uncle and Mauli aunty want them to study in India.So they will come to India tomorrow.They will be staying here.

Ruhaan and Arnav were surprised.

Radhika:So get their rooms ready.Both of you have to set up their room

Ruhaan-Arnav got down from the bed:Sure.

Ruhaan:Now itself we will arrange the room.

Ruhaan-Arnav rushed to a room.They cleaned the room and made all the arrangements.

Radhika was surprised:I have never seen these boys so interested in cleaning the house.

Ruhaan and Arnav were really excited.

They both remembered the little Mishti and Little Pari with a smile.

Ruhaan:How does Mishti look now?

Arnav:How does Pari look now?Why the day is not moving?It's moving like a snail.

Ruhaan:Can't wait to see Mish.

Mishti and Pari arrived.

Radhika and they were happy to see each other.They hugged Radhika.

Arnav and Ruhaan were lost in Mishti and Pari.

Radhika:Do you remember these boys?

The girls smiled:Ruhaan and Arnav.

Arnav and Ruhaan were happy that they remember them.

Arnav-Ruhaan:We also remember both of you.

One girl:Really?Then identify us.Among us who is Mishti and who is Pari.

Arnav remembered the little Pari's eyes.

He moved towards the grey eyes girl:You are Pari.The same sparkling eyes.

Pari smiled:Right.

Ruhaan smiled.

Ruhaan:Mishti...I identified you easily as still resemble your childhood look.

Mishti smiled.

Finally they reached the house.

Mishti and Pari were led to their room.

Ruhaan extended his fingers to tap Mishti's shoulder to call her.

But before that itself she looked at him.

Ruhaan:How is the room?

Mishti:Lovely.Thanks for this.

Ruhaan:No mention.

He moved his lips towards her ears:If you need anything just call me.I will be there with you.

She smiled at him:Sure.

He smiled.

Pari:I really admire you for arranging the room for us.

Arnav:Anything for you.

Pari:What?

Arnav:I mean you are my childhood friend.At least this much should be done for you.

Pari:That's so sweet of you Arnav.

He smiled.

Mishti and Pari joined the college.

All of them were in the dining room to have dinner.

Radhika:How is the college?

Mishti:Nice dadi.

Ruhaan:Which place do you like?America or India?

Mishti:It's too early to say that.

But I liked India.

Ruhaan and Radhika smiled.

Arnav looked at Pari.

Arnav:Hello Miss America...

Pari:My name is not America.My name is Pari.

Arnav:I know that.But just for fun I called you like that.

Radhika:Arnav..don't tease her.

Arnav:Dadi...

Pari:It's ok Dadi.Miss America is not bad.It's cool.

Arnav and Pari smiled at each other.

Mishti went to Ruhaan's room.He was surprised:Mishti..you are here?

Mishti:Ya.You only told me that if I need something I can approach you.

Ruhaan:Yes..you should...

Mishti:I heard that here the beach is very nice.

Ruhaan:Yes,really nice.

Mishti:Can you please take me there?

Ruhaan:Why not?You should go there at night.

Mishti:Why?

Ruhaan:The beach looks more beautiful at night.

Mishti:Really?

Ruhaan:Yes.

Mishti:Let's see.

Ruhaan took Mishti to the beach at night.They sat on the sand.

Mishti:It so cool here.Nice to feel this breeze.

Ruhaan:Yes.Look at the sky.

They both looked at the sky.

Mishti:The sky looks so beautiful.I feel the beach is also shining because of the moon light.

Ruhaan:Yes.That's why I told you that the beach is more beautiful at night.

Mishti:You are right.Thank you for this beautiful experience.

They smiled at each other.

Months passed...

Ruhaan Mishti and Arnav Pari became thick friends.

They hanged out clicking pictures.

Ruhaan-Mishti went to the pub.

They were dancing..unknowingly they were getting too close while dancing.

raaton ke jaage subah mile hain
resham ke dhaage ye silsile hain

laazmi si lagne lagi hain
do dilon ki ab nazdeekiyaan

hmm dikhti nahi hain par ho rahi hain mehsoos nazdeekiyan
do dil hi jaanein lagti hain kitni mehfooz nazdeekiyan(Shaandar).

They came to senses and stopped dancing.They became shy.

Ruhaan:I will get a drink and come.

Ruhaan walked away.

When he came back with soft drinks he saw Mishti fighting with some boys.

Ruhaan ran towards them:What happened Mishti?

Mishti:These boys tried to misbehave with me.

Ruhaan gritted his teeth angrily:How dare you guys ...?

He started punching them.

Mishti was shocked:Ruhaan...

One of the boys:Is she your girl friend for you to get hyper knowing us flirting with her?

Ruhaan kept silent.Mishti was stunned by their question.

Those boys walked off .Ruhaan looked at Mishti.

They both remembered their intimate dance.

Mishti walked out.Ruhaan ran after her:Mishti!

She ignored him and caught a taxi.

Ruhaan was irritated.

Ruhaan drove back home.

He went near her.

Ruhaan:We went to the pub together.Then why did you come back alone?

Mishti:It's my wish whether to come with you or not.

Ruhaan:But I was also there with you.You did not bother to even answer me when I tried to stop you.

Mishti:Why should you stop me?Who are you to me?Just my father's friend's son.Don't try to control me too much.Did you get that?

Ruhaan was getting angry.

Ruhaan:I did'nt try to control you.I just called you.Without saying anything you just ran out.It's not basic manners.Don't you have manners?

Mishti:Don't teach me banners.Get lost.

Mishti slammed the door behind him.

He kicked the wall in anger.

The next morning....

Mishti was very upset.

Mishti:I really over reacted yesterday.Poor Ruhaan.I need to apologize to him.

To her surprise Ruhaan came near her.

Ruhaan:I am sorry if I hurt you yesterday.

Mishti:No Ruhaan.You did'nt hurt me at all.You actually protected me yesterday.I am sorry.I hurt you a lot.

Ruhaan:Mishti...why are you so upset?

Mishti:Yesterday that guy asked whether I am your girl friend.

Ruhaan:Why are you bothered about his words?

Mishti:I am not your girl friend.But am I just your friend?If so then what about our dance?Who am I to you?

Ruhaan had no answer.

He walked away.

Mishti simply looked at him going with unknown emotions.

Pari went to a place as per Arnav's request.

Pari:Wonder why this duffer called me here.

He looked around the hall.She got surprised to see the hall being decorated with balloons and lights.

Arnav came before her with a smile.

Pari:Arnav...what is all this?

Arnav smiled:I will say.But first you tell me ..did you like the decoration?

Pari:Yes.But why did you do this?

Pari was becoming restless.

Arnav looked at her eyes deeply:I love your eyes.When I look at your eyes i forget myself.I don't want to see anything else.I love you Pari.I love you since childhood.

Pari was shocked.

Suddenly Pari slapped him.

Arnav was shocked.

Mishti got a phone call from Ruhaan.

Ruhaan:Mishti..come to the backyard immediately.

Mishti:But why Ruhaan?

Ruhaan:Just come.

Mishti went to the backyard.She saw Ruhaan there.

Mishti:Why did you call me Ruhaan?

Ruhaan:To answer your question.You asked me who you are to me.My answer is...

Mishti got a phone call from Ruhaan.

Ruhaan:Mishti..come to the backyard immediately.

Mishti went to the backyard.She saw Ruhaan there.

Mishti:Why did you call me Ruhaan?

Ruhaan:To answer your question.You asked me who you are to me.My answer is...

You are my everything Mishti.I love you.

Mishti was stunned.

raaton ke jaage subah mile hain

Ruhaan cupped her face in his hands:I really love you Mishti.May be since childhood I have been loving you.When I heard that you are coming here I was so happy that I could'nt express it.Since childhood I have been waiting to see you.Ever since you left for London I was waiting to meet you again.I have always loved you.

But I never knew how to convey it.But now I think i should not delay anymore in expressing how much I love you.

Mishti was looking at him tearfully.

Ruhaan:Say something Mishti.

Mishti:Actually I don't know what to say.

Ruhaan:If you have no feelings for me what were you doing while dancing with me?Was it just friendship?Or don't tell me that in America getting close to a boy is normal in friendship.

Mishti:Don't cross the limit Ruhaan.Though we are brought up in London our mother and father inculcated good culture in us.

Ruhaan:Then why don't you understand what was your emotion while dancing with me?If you yourself is confused about your feelings towards me ask your own heart and tell me Mishti.I can't wait anymore.My heart is becoming restless.

Mishti:Everything happened so suddenly that I got confused.Give me more time Ruhaan.

Ruhaan said angrily:Your wish.

Ruhaan walked away.

Pari went to a place as per Arnav's request.

Pari:Wonder why this duffer called me here.

Pari:I thought you consider me as a friend.That's why i made friends with you.If I had known that you have this intention towards me I would not made friends with you.

Arnav became upset:I don't have any bad intention.My love for you is pure.

Pari:Love...love..love.I hate this word.I hate this emotion.I love my parents and my sister.I love your dadi and friends.But I don't believe in the other kind of love which you mean.There is nothing like pure love.It's dirty.

Arnav:No Pari.Love is beautiful,it's not dirty.Our parents loved each other selflessly till their death.Your parents also love each other madly.

Pari:My parents loved each other or not..I don't know.But their love was impure.

Arnav:How can you say like that about Ishaan uncle and Mauli aunty's love?

Pari:I agree that they love each other.But I am talking about my own parents.Guess you don't know that I am not their real daughter.

Arnav was shocked:What?

Pari's eyes were full of tears.

Pari:My real father is Mauli mumma's ex-husband.He ditched Mauli mumma for Mauli mumma's best friend Nandini.That's how I was born.Nandini mumma passed away when I was a few months old baby.Later my father also left this world.Ishaan papa and Mauli muma have a golden heart.That's why brought me up as their own daughter.But I am always reminded of the fact that my real parents' love was impure dirty sinful which was filled with betrayal.So I don't believe in love.I don't trust any boy in love.Sorry Arnav,I can't love you.

Pari ran out crying.Arnav was shattered.

Ruhaan was sitting simply.Mishti brought a bowl of noodles and kept it before Ruhaan.

Mishti:Dadi said you did not have anything since morning.That's why i made noodles for you.

Ruhaan:I will eat it only if you answer my question.Do you love me or not?

Ruhaan walked away.Mishti became dull.

Mishti saw Pari crying in her room.

Mishti was shocked.

Mishti:What happened Pari?

Pari hugged Mishti crying:Arnav confessed to me that he loves me.

Mishti was surprised.

Mishti:Then what did you say?

Pari told her whatever which happened between her and Arnav.

Mishti was shocked:What did you do Pari?Do you think that Arnav was wrong in falling in love?Do you think that Arnav is a bad boy?

Pari:No Mishti.Arnav is a nice boy.I know that.He is not wrong in falling in love.But he fell in love with a wrong girl like me.That's his mistake.

Mishti:No Pari.Just because you are love phobic that does'nt mean that Arnav did a mistake by falling in love with you.But you slapped him.It was too much.You have to apologize to him.Because you are wrong.

Pari:Yes I know that slapping him was a big mistake.But you know that I can't love anyone.

Mishti:Why Pari?Just because your parents did mistake does it make falling in love a mistake?Just because they did a wrong thing does it mean that everyone's love is a mistake?You know how much our Ishaan papa and Mauli mumma love each other.Then why are you scared to fall in love?why don't you think that your love will also be a fairy tale like their love story?Why don't you hope that Arnav will also be loving like Ishaan papa?

Pari was silent.

Mishti:Kunal papa left my mumma.But still I believe in love.Because I am hopeful for true love like seen between Popsee and mumma.

Pari:Mishti...have you fallen in love?

Mishti was silent.

Pari:You love Ruhaan.Right?

Mishti was stunned.

Mishti:Do I love Ruhaan?

Pari:When we decided to come to India you were more excited to meet your childhood friend Ruhaan.Right?Now also I see a sparkle in your eyes when you look at Ruhaan.Is'nt it love?

Mishti blushed.

Pari:I am happy for you Mishti.

Mishti smiled.

Mishti thought:Poor Ruhaan is starving.I need to feed him with love.Then make him eat food.

Mishti went to Ruhaan's room.

Ruhaan:Why have you come?

Mishti:You did'nt touch my noodles.

Ruhaan:I said I don't want it.

Mishti embraced him from behind romantically saying:Won't you come if I call you like this with love?

zariyaa hai ye aankhein zariya
chhalakta hai jinse ek armaanon ka dariya

Ruhaan who was surprised smiled from the bottom of his heart.He closed his eyes getting immersed in the first hug.

He looked at her:Mishti!

Mishti:Ruhaan...like you I also was happy to come here to see you again.Since childhood even I was craving to see you.

Ruhaan was surprised.

Mishti:But I don't know why I was hesitant to admit my love to you,May be because I am egoistic.

Ruhaan caressed her face:Break your ego and admit that you love me Mishti.I can't wait to hear the 3 magical words from you.

Mishti blushed:I love you Ruhaan..I love you a lot.

Mishti:Now please come and have food.Break your fast.

Ruhaan:I will eat.But since Dadi is not there,you feed me.

Mishti:Naughty boy..

They giggled.

Mishti fed him noodles to Ruhaan.

Ruhaan:I don't know whether it's because you made it or because you fed me the noodles is yummy.

She smiled.

The next morning....

Ruhaan pulled Mishti closer.

Mishti:Ruhaan...

Ruhaan:Before going give me a good bye kiss.

Mishti blushed:Ruhaan...

chhalakta hai jinse ek armaanon ka dariya

Ruhaan:Come on Mishti...

Mishti moved towards Ruhaan

and pecked his lips.

Ruhaan:Too sweet.

She blushed.

aadatein hain in ki puraani
ankahi si keh de kahaani

She went out of the room.

Mishti was blushing thinking of their kiss.

Radhika:Today why there is a different charm on your face?

Mishti was shy.

Mishti:Dadi....today I have to go to another site for my project work.So I need to leave immediately.

Radhika:Ok Mish...take care.

Mishti turned back and smiled at Ruhaan.

He gave waved his hand at her whispering:Good bye..

She smiled sweetly.

Pari finished her break fast.

Radhika:Arnav...today you are free.So drop Pari to her college.

Pari and Arnav looked at each other.

Pari:It's ok dadi..I will go by myself.

Radhika:Let Arnav drop you.

Arnav:Ok dadi.

Arnav was driving the car and Pari was sitting besides him.

Suddenly Pari said:Stop the car.

Arnav took the brake.

Arnav:Why Pari?

Pari:I need to talk to you.

She got down from the car.Arnav also.

Pari looked at him.

Loved the meeting of parnav and mishaan.  Their dance scenes are romantic. Sad that mishty walked away after ruhaan had beaten up those boys. 

Arnav proposed to pari. Sad that pari slapped him. Glad that Mishty confessed her love to Ruhaan. The dance scenes are romantic.
