So I watched it! Never cried so much during a movie. The story is about the extent parents go for their children. Everyone performed really well. It’s a beautiful film! I’m not going to go into details, check it out yourself... Take your parents too! Haven’t been touched by a film in a very long time!
War Strong Hold - The Sky Is Pink Low

War had a strong hold on its second Friday as it collected 6.25-6.50 crore nett and this is coming after the huge extended first week of 225 crore nett plus. The film is now set for a good run for the next two weeks and it is certain to be the highest grossing film of the year till now and could remain till the end of the year unless Housefull4 or Dabangg 3 better the numbers.
The film is now totally out of holiday period and the ratio of the circuits are normal. The hold in the North on the second Friday was very strong and despite the long first week it is still one of the better second Fridays. The weak competition in terms of new releases also helped the cause of the film.
The Sky Is Pink had a poor first day of 2.50 crore nett apprx and the jump in the evening was not that great. Despite Friday evenings not really being that good it can still show a good upturn on Saturday as its a film for high end multiplexes and they do best on Saturday but it has a lot of work to do from this start. These type of films have a very limited audience unless there is some sort of star presence which is not the case with this film.
The Joker is very strong recording a drop of just 10% from Thursday and should have collections in the 2.25 crore nett range which is not that far less than The Sky Is Pink on day eight and is actually better at the bigger multiplexes despite it being the tenth day of the film.
Hearing good reviews. But the movie didn't have any buzz it seems. Not sure if I will get time to watch.
The Sky Is Pink Is Poor - Joker Rock Steady

The Sky Is Pink had a poor opening day of 2.50 crore nett apprx and the bigger problem for the film was that it did not grow much in the evening despite being a film for the evening audience in metro multiplexes. The opening is far lower than Jai Gangaajal which was the last Priyanka Chopra film in 2016 but is far better than the last few releases of Farhan Akhtar.
The film holds limited appeal but the Hollywood film Joker has shown numbers can come for films with limited appeal and this film is actually a wider release than Joker. Despite the limited evening growth there should be a good upturn on Saturday as these type films collect best in theatres which show strong Saturday growth.
Joker maintained strong collections on its second Friday as it collected 2.25 crore nett plus and the total collections are in the 40 crore nett range. The collections of Joker till date are as follows.

^ how come BOI doesn’t say anything about the number of screens? TSIP has way less screens than JG. Only 800 or something. 2.5 crore is ok, it’s a good film and will pick up. All of this is just profit because it recovered all it’s cost even before release.
I have heard such good things about the movie...but I am too chicken hearted to watch the movie because of the story.

How many times do they have to stress PC is no star? Are they going to do everyday? What else to expect from Salman's fanboys. She is a global star. There are many films Salman have failed as well which are not massy.
