* The ONLY movie where Salman Khan has his real life name in the movie, SALMAN KHAN.

* Before CHANDNI (Salman's lead actress) the actress "RUKHSAR" (yaad rakhay gi dunya, fame actress) was the first choice of this movie. Due to some issues she left the movie, but her real life name "RUKHSAAR" was retained in the movie for CHANDNI's character.

Salman Khan requested Sawaan Kumar Tak that he release Sanam Bewaffa after Baaghi. Salman felt his role was small and not too powerful in the film. But the film became a block buster,Salman benefited from the success.

He went on a signing spree in 1991 and nearly a dozen films were launched with him as hero. Patthar Ke Phool was Salman Khan's 4th hit in a row (this one also with debutant actress) after hattrick of hits with three debutant actresses (Maine Pyar Kiya,Baghi & Sanam Bewafa).

Pratibha Sinha was offered the film but she refused it. She did not want to join the film industry at that time.

Salman Khan tried very hard to get model and future wife of Sanjay Dutt, Rhea Pillai , to do the film. but she did not want to become a actress.

Salim Khan had written the script in 1988 for Aamir Khan. The role was meant for him. But when Maine Pyar Kiya became a box office hit he decided to give the film to Salman Khan.

This was Vinod mehra's last film due to his untimely death in October 1990 and the film released four months later after his death in February 1991.

The film was signed before the release of Maine Pyar Kiya. When narrated to Kabir Bedi, he was told it was going to be a action vendetta film where he would be pitted against Sunil Dutt. The film would be based on them. The film would focus on their hatred. By the time Maine Pyar Kiya released, Salman had become a sensation. The producer told Deepak Bahry to concentrate on the young lead pair ( Salman, Ayesha) and make it a love story.

Deepak Bahry narrated the film to Juhi Chawla in 1988. This was right after Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Juhi did not want to star with a unknown newcomer and declined the film.

Maan Singh and Prithvi Singh's families have been locked in a property dispute in a court in India. When the Court gives a verdict in favor of Prithvi, Maan hires a bandit named Panna Singh to kill Prithvi and all of his family.
