Part 6
Guddan went to her house with her parents which they were able to find one close by jindal mansion. akshat didn’t really want her to go for that long but he knew it was in her best interest to finish her college. Guddan was already enrolled in college so she just signed up for classes and was to start school after 2 weeks she was excited to start it one more time. She too didn’t want to be away from akshat but she just wants to finish her college and be of some help to akshat.
Guddan’s college started off good. She saw some of her professors who knew about what happened and were happy to see her back. Not too many days into school and she was called to the careers office to discuss her internship that she left midway. Guddan straight out told them she didn’t want to do internship with that company but she was told that the company has reached out to school for your contact and they would like to meet you once as they really liked your records. Guddan wasn’t interested knowing it was akshat’s company but even her professors asked her to join the company as it would be good for her career so she asked for little bit of time to think about it.
Guddan talks to akshat: akshat what is this now that you know who I am why is your Hr still calling college to hire me
Akshat: guddan you are a good fit for the company I was looking at your profile also you’ll be one of the best fit for this company and I will do anything that’s good for this company
Guddan: but why me you can find others for this as well
Akshat: I can but do you think I’ll trust them more than you
Guddan: no one will know I’m your wife anyways so what’s the point of trust or not
Akshat: I understand guddan but sometimes there are things that our intern catch that our leadership team doesn’t catch either so I would rather have you here than anyone else. Anyways you didn’t want this internship because you don’t want anyone thinking that you got this because if your husband do I promise you I will not give you any preference over anyone else and no one will know you are my wife either. I’ll only hire you if you’re a good fit for this.
Guddan: sounds much better so promise you’ll hire me only if I meet all the requirement and I’m good fit
Akshat: ok promise
Guddan applies for the internship like everyone else at college and goes through screening before she’s called for an interview along with 30 other best students of college. Out of the 30 students 5 will be selected to work at Akshat’s company. Interview for all of them is scheduled for one day and they go along with someone from college’s career department. Everyone is present for interview akshat comes and wishes good luck to everyone for interview and leaves looking at guddan. Akshat starts the interview and calls everyone in alphabetically skipping guddan which kind of worried everyone as this has never happened before but they shrug it off. Everyone’s interview is done one by one some seem satisfied the others a little worried if they will get a chance to work with the best firm in the country. Everyone is done with interview and it’s guddan’s turn who goes in the room and as soon as she enters akshat locks the door behind her.
Guddan: what are you doing why did you lock the door
Akshat goes to her and hugs her
Guddan: leave me what if someone sees
Akshat: this is my office no one will dare to peak in my office without my permission. Anyways it’s been a long day with 30 interviews I need sometime to relax and the best way to that do is talk to you
Guddan: I’m not here to talk to you just in case you are forgetting I’m here for an interview as well
Akshat: interview is to see how much confident a person is otherwise I know everyone qualification beforehand you seem confident enough so I don’t really have to interview you
Guddan: if that’s the case I should leave then
Akshat pulls her towards himself and hugs her again and tells her to just stay with him for a while. They sit and talk for a while before guddan asks him to let her go otherwise someone will definitely say something. Akshat let’s her go and reminds her they have to go to doctor tomorrow and he’ll go with her so wait for him. Guddan leave from his office. Akshat comes out as well and tells everyone that whoever is selected for the internship will be getting a phone call within a week.
Akshat comes to guddan’s house to take her to doctors. He’s been with guddan to all of her visits and everything is going smoothly and guddan postop recovery has been very good. They’re told that they’ll only have to follow up with doctor once a month now. After the visit akshat takes guddan for a candle light dinner at one of his favorite restaurants. Both of them spend some romantic time together and head home when guddan asks him about who will get the internship so he tells her she’s defiantly the one and that too based on your file not because you’re my wife. Guddan is happy to hear that as she knows working at Akshat’s company is like dream come true. She was over the moon the last time she got phone call for interview from them. Akshat teases her saying she must be double happy now as she can keep an eye on her husband even in the office now to which she replies she trusts her husband she doesn’t need to keep and eye on her husband she knows he’ll never cheat her. Guddan gets a formal call from SJ accounting firms HR telling her of being hired as the intern. Internship will start at the beginning of summer vacation and will continue until the end of tax season and everyone will be evaluated and offer a job based on their performance.
Guddan’s semester goes well she’s happy with her grades. Now it’s time for internship. Akshat calls her early morning wishing her luck with the internship. 5 interns are given their mentor and guddan mentor is none other than akshat to which guddan seemed a little annoyed because she knows why he did that but doesn’t say anything at the time.
All of the interns go to their mentors to find out what they have to do. Guddan goes to akshat
Guddan: why did you do this why could I get some other mentor
Akshat: first off I’m your boss you don’t question me and secondly interns doe to have me as their mentor why are you so annoyed with it
Guddan: you and my boss come home I’ll show you who the boss is
Akshat: I don’t mind let’s go
Guddan: akshat please
Akshat: ok I didn’t do it on purpose I promised you I’ll do everything based on you capabilities. You are one of the best interns and Im always the mentor of the best so I can train them to keep them with our company that why I’m you mentor. Anyways you are away from me already I just want to see you and spend sometime with you that’s a little reasons also why I’m your mentor now please stop complaining.
Guddan: ok what do I have to do.
Akshat gives her tasks and tells her how to do it if she has any questions come to him or if he’s busy she can ask the manager as well.
All the intern are doing well. Akshat has managed to squeeze in some romance with guddan at the office even though guddan tries to keep him away but who can stop akshat it’s his company he can do whatever he wants.
One day while guddan was doing her daily work she sees a girl going to Akshat’s office whom she hasn’t seen in office before. The girl seems very familiar but she can’t remember who she is. Guddan asks akshat’s PA who tells her her name and guddan is shocked to her the name.
Who can she be??
I know it’s a short one that all i could write for today
Also I’m probably gonna write 2 more maybe 3 parts if anyone wants to write for their suhaag raat message me otherwise I’ll keep it short 😊
I like how akshat is quite understanding here. I m glad he isn't misunderstanding her and understands that she wants to achieve things by her own so that ppl don't say that she is akshat's wife that's why she got the job. A good transformation of Akshat's character in this ff, from a guy who doesn't even care about a girl even when she is dying to a guy who understands his wife and is even ready to wait for her for 2-3 years and wants her wellbeing and sucess.
