Part 4

Savitri goes to guddan who’s sitting and crying and tries to console her but she’s just crying and wants to leave as she doesn’t want to her anything bad from anyone from her.

Savitri: guddan beta please listen to me and marry akshat I know my son very well he will keep you happy

Guddan: how and why will he keep me happy if he’s only marrying me for his own pride just because he promised something to abhay

Savitri: what is wrong with it guddan if he has said he will do something he will definitely do it no matter what. I get it that for now he’s marrying you for that reason but once you live together and understand each other he will start to like you also

Guddan: please auntie don’t force me I can’t marry him especially when he think all the girls are behind his money

Savitri: I can tell he doesn’t think about you in that way otherwise he would’ve never even offered to marry you

Guddan: I’ve always wanted a loving caring and understanding husband but I don’t see that he will do that

Savitri: would abhay have been the king of husband you wanted

Guddan: I misunderstood him I didn’t know he was one of those people also who would use me

Savitri: but my akshat isn’t use and throw kind of a guy once he likes someone he will do anything for them and i know you can make a spot for yourself in his heart

Saying this savitri sits closer to guddan’s feet and start crying and says: guddan beta please I can tell you are the only girl who can take him out of his past make him the old akshat that he use to be the fun loving outgoing person

Guddan: auntie please get up what are you doing it doesn’t look good elders shouldn’t be sitting at feet of younger

Savitri: promise me you will marry my son

Guddan: but how me I don’t even know your son

Savitri: you will start to understand him he is a very straight forward guy

Guddan: but

Savitri: no but ifs please do it and she cries guddan can’t see her crying so she says yes but she’s not sure if that’s a good decision

Marriage date is fixed and looking at guddan’s condition there’s just a small wedding procession and they get married simply. Both guddan and akshat live in separate rooms but akshat takes very good care of her. He’s with her to all he doctors appointments. He’s doing his own research to find the best doctor for guddan to get her to be fine quickly. Both of them don’t really talk much other than when they are talking about guddan’s health. Savitri is a little worried seeing that because she knows if guddan doesn’t make her way to akshat’s heart he will divorce her and she can’t see guddan broken again.

Savitri tells both akshat and guddan that one of her friend and husband from India is visiting them who’s visiting to search for someone I’ve told her that both of you are happily married if she comes here and sees you sleeping in different rooms what will she think so she asks them to live in one room but akshat straight out denies it and tells his mom to make an excuse as he will definitely not share his room with anyone.

Savitri’s friend has been at her house for a few weeks now and searching for someone savitri hasn’t asked then about it thinking it might be uncomfortable for them. Everyone is getting along pretty well. One day they come home really worried so she asks them

Savitri: if you don’t mind me asking who are you looking for

Her friend (Daljeet kaur)is quiet for sometime but then tells her that she’s there to find her daughter

Savitri: your daughter as far as I remember you gave birth to only one daughter who died right after birth

Daljeet: that what I had thought for years as well but that’s not the case at all you know I’m from a very backward village where girls still are considered a burden on parent when I gave birth to a daughter my FIL gave my daughter to a orphanage and told everyone that I gave birth to a dead daughter everyone accepted it as a truth but before he died a few months back he told us the bitter truth about what he did so now we are here to find out daughter

Savitri: but how did you find out that you daughter is here

Daljeet: we went to the orphanage that he had left our daughter at and found out that our daughter was adopted by some couple who didn’t have and kids. We found that couple information we went to their house and we were told that they are here since they’ve adopted our daughter and has not visited India since.

Savitri: do you have any of their information did you meet them? If you need any help Akshat has connections he can help you find them.

Daljeet: that is why we were going to ask for we went to their house and they told us that our daughter left them and where she’s living now they have no idea

Savitri: don’t worry we will find your daughter. Did you ask for her picture or anything

Daljeet: we asked for it but they said they don’t have any of her picture she never took any pictures with them

Savitri: ok don’t worry we will find you daughter akshat is at a business conference right now as soon as he comes back we will see what we can do

It’s been a few day and akshat comes back from his conference but has to take guddan out of state to see a doctor to they don’t bother him then and decide that as soon as they come back they’ll talk to them because they don’t want to give him something else to worry about. There is a good news that they’ve gotten an appointment with one of the best doctors to have guddan treated but they would have to go to Switzerland for it as the doctor doesn’t operate out of country.

They give the good news to everyone in house and the conversation starts about finding their daughter and akshat promises that he will do anything that he can to help them he asks for the address of the people who their daughter had lived with and guddan is shocked to hear the address

Guddan: what address did you just say it was

Address is repeat and guddan start crying everyone looks at guddan as to what happened

Guddan: that was my house’s address and I’m their unlucky adopted child whom they never cared for

Daljeet just runs to guddan and hugs and kisses her and keeps asking for forgiveness saying she should’ve known that her daughter is alive but she believed a lie her whole life. Guddan’s father(Bhushan) too hugs her and asks for forgiveness as they let their daughter down and she had to live life like an orphan when both her parents were alive

Guddan: please don’t say that like i always say whatever is written in fate is bound to happen but today I got both my parents that all that matters to me

Daljeet: but today we are very happy though knowing you have a MiL like savitri and a husband like akshat who even-though doesn’t show he likes you but deep down somewhere I know he likes you

Both akshat and savitri are happy for them as well as parent daughter meet and savitri is especially happy as guddan got the lovethat she’s always asked for the love her husband hasn’t been able to give her yet. Akshat is also very happy for guddan as he has seen her crying for love but doesn’t show it.

Daljeet’s 2 sons are also settled on USA but a little farther who as soon as they heard about guddan come to meet her and the siblings bond almost instantly seeing their bond akshat feels something missing because he’s the only child. They stay in Jindal mansion for few days to spend sometime with guddan and they help her out a lot and are also happy to hear that she’ll be fine. They ask for permission to leave so does Daljeet who wants to live with her sons until they go back as she doesn’t want to live at her daughter’s in-laws anymore. Guddan at first is a little hesitant to let her parents go at first but than lets them go thinking she’s going to Switzerland any ways after a few days. Before leaving the brothers do announce that they want to keep a part to introduce their sister in their social circle which every one happily agrees to.

For the party akshat has asked a designer to come to his house for guddan to choose her dress surprising both guddan and savitri but he makes up saying guddan can’t really go out so he asked them to come home but really he wants her to look the best because not will will she be introduced as the only daughter of kaur family but it’s also her first part since they got married. Guddan is very confused as to which dress to choose so akshat chooses dress for her which is his favorite color blue. The day of the party akshat calls a makeup artist at his house as well to help guddan and as guddan comes out he’s mesmerized to see her but controls himself as he doesn’t want to lose himself in someone else’s love and break his heart one more time. All three head out for the party and they are the first ones to reach there. People start coming in one by one everyone is happily meeting and greeting everyone until one family walks in which shocks savitri guddan and akshat and it’s none other than abhay’s family. They don’t want to create a scene at the party so they just let them be guddan is introduced to all the guest as the kaur family’s only daughter and also announce that from today guddan will be the owner of half the property and businesses they own. Guddan is hesitant to take it but in the end her brother convince her to take it. Part goes on smoothly until guddan bumps into abhay who tries to inappropriately touch her which guddan tries to avoid but he doesn’t let go of her. Akshat see this and comes there and slaps him hard but that doesn’t stop abhay and know he starts using words to abuse guddan and says when he says that when he had asked her to die akshat for money she didn’t listen now she is ruling over the money of MR Jindal and her brothers now i see your plan you wanted all the money not just few millions that too shared with me that’s why you made Mr Jindal black nights colorful. Akshat and guddan’s brother now lose cool and are going to beat him when people stop them and tell them not to do beat him otherwise he’ll use it against them so they call police and get him arrested for harassment.

Guddan and akshat are in Switzerland to meet the doctor they’ve had their consultation with the doctor and were assured that guddan will be fine after a few surgeries. Guddan and akshat are getting along as well. They have gone site seeing and spend a lot of time together and have started to understand each other. Both of them has learned a lot about each other’s past and they’ve found console in each other but akshat still doesn’t show his love to guddan but guddan has started showing her love.

Guddan’s treatment has started and there will be 2 surgeries performed one of which is today guddan is very nervous but akshat consoles her telling her everything will be fine and gives her a hug for the first time and guddan’s nervousness just vanished and she wants to get better for akshat to live her life with him. Guddan is taken for surgery akshat is restless and his mother keeps calling him and consoling him and asks him if he has started liking guddan that’s why he so restless otherwise why would he care for her that much that he left his business that’s most important to him and go with guddan. Akshat gets thinking but denied saying he’s just fulfilling his promise.

Surgery was successful and guddan is bought to room and akshat can meet her. Guddan still under anesthetic effect start saying: akshat app meray saath aisa kyun kar rahay hain main ne hamaishan sirf aik pyar karnay wala understanding husband managa hai is say zayada Kuch nahi. Jab bhi manga hai sirf aisa husband manga jis say main apnay dil ki sari batain kar sakun jo bhi meray dil main hai usay dil say nikal sakun dil halka kar sakun. Whatever she just said touched akshat’s heart who’s sad thinking what has he done to this pure soul. He thinks that his maa was right if one girl was behind his money doesn’t mean everyone is. Guddan just wanted emotional support from me she wanted my love and understanding but I couldn’t give her anything. What have I done and why did I do this to guddan. He promises himself that whatever happened is past but he will not let guddan suffer anymore.

Guddan wakes up and akshat tries to tell her what’s in his heart but stops because he know that guddan listens to him regarding her medication her food and takes care of herself only because she knows he’ll be mad. if she doesn’t do what he asks her to she’ll face his anger which she’s scared of so he decides to keep it to himself for now.

A night before guddan’s final surgery akshat asks guddan to go out with him.

Guddan: but you were saying you have to do an important video conference today

Akshat: yes I had to but it got rescheduled for tomorrow

Guddan: why all of a sudden going out today you are always working with you files and laptop and I’m getting bored always why do you ask to go out today

Akshat: come on guddan whenever I’m working you always complain why am I always working and today you are complaining about taking you out

Guddan: ok ok sorry let’s go

They go to a restaurant and enjoy a happy meals before akshat starts talking

Akshat: guddan I’m sorry for everything that I have done to you so far. I’ve never given you the right that a wife should have and I feel really guilty of doing that.

Guddan: why do you say that in the situation we got married I would expect that to happen.

Akshat: guddan you have a big heart that’s why you keep forgiving everyone but I feel suffocated knowing that I’ve done wrong with you.

Guddan: that’s true I forgive everyone and I forgive you as well but on one condition.

Akshat: what condition

Guddan: just love me that’s all I want in my life I don’t want anything big in my life just few small surprises some hugs and kisses and I’ll be fine

Then guddan realizes what she said and looks down being shy. It didn’t go unnoticed by akshat as her cheeks and nose turned red to tease her even more akshat kisses her hand but doesn’t want to embarrass her anymore so asks her to let’s go home. They both head home.

Guddan: can I ask you for something only if you allow

Akshat: guddan it’s the first time you are asking me for something go ahead and I’ll give you what ever you ask for

Guddan: whatever?? Even your property??

Akshat is taken aback a bit but doesn’t say anything guddan sees his reaction so quickly says: just kidding can you please sleep with me tonight I’m really scared

Akshat: scared for what? Your surgery guddan please this is the final surgery you’ll be completely fine after this so don’t worry about anything

Guddan: thank you so much akshat I don’t know what I would’ve done if you weren’t with me

Akshat: And I don’t know what I would’ve done if you weren’t here. Let’s go and get a good night of sleep tomorrow is a big day

With that both of them go to the same bed for the first time since they’ve been married guddan hugs akshat and sleeps peacefully. Last time she remember sleeping this peacefully when she found her parent and slept in her mother’s laps.

Next day surgery is performed successfully and guddan is recovering from the surgery and doctors and physical therapist have tried to get her to walk but they haven’t been able to as of now. Akshat asks them if there’s any issue but they assure him that everything will be fine as she’s still recovering from surgery but she should be fine soon. Guddan is also getting a little worried and keeps asking akshat what is wrong as they were told that everything will be fine after surgery. Doctors are a little skeptical as to why guddan still can’t walk after so many days of surgery. One day doctors call akshat and tell him all of guddan reports are clear and should be able to walk now but she not able to do that so we are thinking it’s probably just because she’s scared to walk after so many days that’s why we have the physical therapist here but she hasn’t been able to help her either we need your help now. Akshat happily agrees and they tell him to give guddan the confidence that she can do this again. She just needs the confidence know to get back on her feet.

All of guddan’s family has tried to convince her to try to walk but as soon as she tries to get up she feels scared as she might do something wrong and sits back down again. No one has been able to help guddan so akshat decides to do something.

One day guddan is watching tv when akshat comes to her room stands at the door and starts talking to guddan.

Akshat: guddan I have to say something to you

Guddan: yes akshat go ahead

Akshat raises his arms (asking guddan to come hug him): I love you guddan I love you so much I can’t imagine my life without you anymore you are everything in my life guddan I promise you if you walk up to me now and hug me I will never ever leave you alone in your life. Come to me now guddan and no matter how hard life is you will always find me by your side

Guddan is overwhelmed and tries to get up a few times but fails but akshat keeps on saying guddan come to me please I need you in my life. When guddan is unable to get up he finally says

Akshat: guddan if you don’t come to me now I will go away from you life forever I will never show you my face again

Now guddan starts crying which akshat can’t see but just to make guddan walk again he keeps a straight face and keeps calling guddan who’s able to get up now and takes a step towards akshat is about to fall but gets a hold of side of bed and starts walking towards akshat. He starts walking toward guddan as well and hugs her tight. Guddan starts hitting him telling him not to dare ever say that he will leave her. To which he apologizes and tells her he only did it to get her on her feet. She thanks him and akshat calls the doctor for a follow up.

They go to the doctor who’s happy to see guddan walking with the help of akshat. Akshat asks for doctor’s permission to go back to which the doctor agrees but tells them that one of his friend doctor is in USA and they’ll have to visit him to get a check up when ever he asks them to and also tells them to not have any physical relationship for about a year as that might be harmful for guddan. They agree all of the case files are transferred and a copy if given to akshat just in case and they head back home.

Both akshat and guddan are very satisfied and head back home happily and start their new life once again. All of guddan’s family if present at Jindal mansion and are are happy to see guddan on her feet walking and akshat hasn’t left her hand for even a second. Savitri can see happiness in akshat’s face for the first time after a while and she’s happy to see them both together. Both the families spend some quality time together.

Daljeet: we will take your leave now

Savitri: yes sure but take your daughter along with you

Everyone is shocked to hear that

Akshat: maa what are you saying why would guddan go with them

Savitri: so we can bring her back after a big fat traditional wedding

Everyone relaxes after hearing that

Guddan almost jumps in enjoyment: really I always wanted a big wedding. What happened last I wasn’t even a good bride now I’ll fulfill all my wishes

Akshat is happy to see guddan so excited even though he doesn’t want to let guddan go seeing her excitement and her wish for a big weeding he agrees to it but tells everyone to rest for a couple of days as guddan must be tired as well. Everyone decides to stay at Jindal mansion for two days and will go back home with guddan. Everyone goes to sleep satisfactorily but guddan has something else in mind. She goes to akshat room at night.

Guddan: I want to talk to you about something

Akshat: ok guddan come sit and say what is it

Guddan: akshat I want to complete my studies. I got shot and my studies stopped in the middle now I want to complete my studies before we get married again and doctor have told us to be away anyways so it’ll be better that we stay away from each other. And anyways you had told me that you’ll do anything I ask you for so this is what I’m asking you

Akshat hesitates but then agree thinking it’ll be good for guddan as well as he is here today may not be tomorrow if she has a degree she’ll be good.

Akshat: ok how long do you have left of school

Guddan: 3 semester 1 and half years I would’ve been done by now and I was going to start such a good internship as well but that too slipped away from my hands.

Akshat: sorry guddan

Guddan: why are you saying sorry

Akshat: somewhere I’m responsible for everything that happened to you

Guddan: akshat please never say that again it wasn’t your fault at all

Akshat: let it be who were you going to start internship with maybe I can help you get that

Guddan: SJ accounting firm

Akshat: what SJ that’s my company on maa’s name savitri jindal. I was thinking your name sounds very familiar but couldn’t figure it out. If you want I can still give you the internship

Guddan: no it’s ok I don’t want anyone thinking I got the internship because I’m you wife I want to do it on my own

Guddan: i go to sleep now good night I love you

Akshat carries guddan to her room kisses her good night and leaves
