S2 is clearly the reboot, not a continuation of previous shows, just about drawing inspiration from earlier ones , meaning they'll be opting for creative liberty to snip, shred stub wherever necessary while staying true to the quintessence of Sanjivani- The medical boon, dealing with personal & professional lives of doctors & how they face trials tribulations & triumphs while balancing both 😊

Though they'll be most certainly be bringing in few prior characters & incidences to impede & expedite the story,in course, once the existing pace is set & bridged between 2002 & 2019.The makers are aware of a section of audience who are watching the show for the first time ,totally ignorant about the essence or characters and at this point, the introduction of bygones will be in mellowed smooth merging manner between past & present

Amongst the retained characters they've already introduced Dr Shashank, Anjali, Dr Juhi 😊Ishani already has a past debit, deficit,an encumbrance with Sanjivani .

Dr juhi didn't not marry Dr shashank but yes she has great respect for him
