Kat defends Salman Khan for his statements against Priyanka Chopra

Salman Khan recently made headlines after he took at a dig at Priyanka Chopra for walking out of his film Bharat. He had termed her quitting the film an 'embarrassing thing', and during an interview with Bollywood Hungama he went on to say, "Over Bharat, she chose USA in the ‘nick’ of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually people leave the husbands for this."

Soon after Salman's statements went viral, netizens were quick to slam him for taking a dig at PeeCee for walking out of his film. Singer Sona Mohapatra too bashed the superstar and Tweeted, "A showcase & poster child of toxic masculinity. Low brow dig at not only a woman who was not in the room but a disgusting disregard & contempt for the woman & colleague sitting next to him in the same room. Unless we call out such serial bad behaviour, nothing changes, #India"

Now, Katrina Kaif who is busy promoting Bharat with Salman, has come out and defended his statements the ones where he took a dig at Priyanka. In an interview with Rajeeev Masand, the actress went on to clear, "You have to take everything that Salman says with a big bucket of salt. I think we all know that by now. He just says it for effect, he does not mean it. Sometimes, in interviews I am biting my tongue like 5 times in a day, but it’s all in good fun. I don’t take it seriously."

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat brings the trio of Ali, Salman and Katrina Kaif after Tiger Zinda Hai from 2017. Apart from them, the movie also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Shashank Arora and others in pivotal roles. Bharat will also see a cameo by young star Varun Dhawan.

What the heck does Katrina even mean he says it for the effect. Does that mean he wants a reaction from a statement like that. If it really doesn't affect him or make a difference then shut the f**** up and don't stir attention and publicity just for the movie.

lol she is pretty much admitting that she feels second hand embarrassment over his statements just like the rest of us 😆 What more can she do especially considering he is her costar/mentor? The whole thing is Bhai's fault.

You may not take it seriously but how can you make such a joke as "I feel like a raped woman?" Where is the joke in that statement Katrina? Where is the joke in saying you should be a baby making machine and a wife....? It's the same as you don't see any issue with your item songs because it's fun. 

These things may seem like a joke or something to sweep under the rug but the more it's said, there seems to be truth to that person's mindset who keeps making said jokes. Then, your statement just falls flat and we shouldn't take it with any amount of salt. #doormat

uff dis sk n kk are trying very hard to create controversy for d movie n doing movie promotions using pc lol to create buzz it seems. is movie shit n no confidence on movie r wat . seems no buzz r wat n seems greedy sk want dis movie to collect d losses of tubelight n race 3 also lol. free publicity happening for pc . sk,kk pr of pc lol. pc must be given share in dis movie collections lol. sk-kk right for each other ,both marry ,retire , get lost n leave alone poor mango viewers lol
