Payal Rohatgi Now Wants A Hindu Nation After Calling Raja Ram Mohan Roy A 'Traitor', Gets Trolled

Remember Payal Rohatgi, the social media sensation? Well, I hope you detected the sarcasm in that very statement. But why am I talking about her? That's because she's back again, to indulge in some mindless banter, to irk the proletariats in the worst way possible. It's just her visible affinity to waste time over Twitter and other forms of social media, and this time around, she's outdone herself again.
Recently, over a Tweet, the 'damsel in distress' spoke about the age-old practice of Sati and called Raja Ram Mohan Roy a traitor. And now, she demands a so-called 'Hindu' nation.
Twitter is, of course, furious over her lopsided thought process, but we can't help and substantiate a good amount of humour through her thread.

So, as we all know, Raja Ram Mohan Roy was a social reformer, known for his efforts to abolish the practice of Sati and child marriage. But after Payal tweeted a video on the Sati tradition named 'the truth behind Sati Pratha', she called Ram Mohan Roy a traitor , saying "#Jauhar was an incident related to Padmavati [movie] during Mughal Khiljis invasion. Later society, with the help of traitors like Raja Ram, who Britishers used to divide society, made Sati into an evil forceful practice. (sic)"
She also called him a 'chamcha', saying the Britishers used him to 'defame the Sati Tradition'
Her Tweet said: "No he was a chamcha to Britishers who used him to defame the Sati tradition. Sati tradition was not compulsory but was introduced to prevent the prostitution of Hindu wives by the hands of Mughal invaders. It was the woman's choice. #FeministsofIndia Sati was not regressive."

Not only did her Tweets rile her followers and other people, it created havoc on Twitter, because let's face it, extremist views seldom make it out alive, but because we're a democracy, of course, she has the will and freedom to say whatever she wants, honestly. But of course, Twiteratti will not let this one go!

भारत नरेश@ResoluteActionSo according to your analogy we should remove chapters of History and culture from schools ? India didn't require lessons on Science. Heard about DRDO, ISRO and their missions ? How India producea cheapest pharmaceuticals? India owns fastest supersonic missile in form of Brahmos.

Aryaveer@Aryavee83533418The practise was never a norm and was never prevalent ...it was there practised by certain jaati groups(caste is a wrong word) and not by all ...it was already dying the time british entered ...this thing is taught to beat the hindu side rather unfairly

भारत नरेश@ResoluteActionJauhar and Saka never happened when Rajput fought with any Hindu king as even after defeating the enemy king, women and children were given due respect.
Jauhar happened only when Rajputs fought with Mughals or Afghans, as when Mughals defeat them, they treated women like animals.

In response to this outpour, India's darling stated that she was not trying to glorify Sati Pratha, while raising the issue of Triple Talaaq.
"I am not glorifying it, I am putting across the history of its origin. It was due to Mughal invaders that #Sati started in the 1st place. Understand your history. And yes no one is practising it NOW nor am I asking anyone to practice it. But #TripleTalaq is still ON. (sic)" - Payal Rohatgi on Twitter.
Apart from her two cents on the custom of Sati, Payal also went ahead to demand a 'Hindu' nation!

Okay, basically, what she's trying to say is even if India's a secular country, it should predominantly be a Hindu nation (really?) because only Hindus are entitled to a sense of belonging here. While ranting, she also chose to say Muslims aren't a minority anymore and it's unfair to call them that!
PAYAL ROHATGI & Team -BHAKTS of BHAGWAN RAM✔@Payal_RohatgiIndian Muslims Muslims are NO more a minority in Secular India।जय श्री राम #SundayThoughts #PayalRohatgi

Well, all we can hope and pray for is that people form wider perspectives and keep an open mind, which does not inculcate any amount of hate under the newly-formed government.
While secularism is the right way to embrace our nation's ideology, we do have people amidst us who scorn it on a mere whim, failing to understand the concept of a secular democracy.
