The very first match of the cricket tournament was scheduled for tomorrow and the VJN was very excited. The cricket stadium, which was usually quiet and deserted, was now filled with spectators who felt that they need to cheer their team, not that it was helping very much.
Everyday, the cricket team reached the ground at 5 am and practised late, with no particular regard to the lectures or their attendance. Karthik and his gang took it upon themselves to mock the cricket team and reduce their confidence as much as they can. On the other hand, Sunaina and her group suddenly developed a fad for cricket, and we can say that, due to the abnormal amount of time she spent in the ground, and tried to spend with Sameer. Mohit Rana and his own group of toppers were busy mocking Sameer and the college's fascination with cricket, which they considered as a dimwitted game and encouraged chess tournaments instead. Girls too started spending too much time gossiping about the college cricketers and their muscles, with inclination towards the captain.
As for the families, Nanu had instructed Ramdhari to include good amount of nutritional food like fruits, vegetables and juices in Sameer's diet. Munna and Pandit were also getting the nutrition in his diet, since they practically lived at Sameer's house. In the Aggrawal household, Rakesh was busy boasting about his son's position as the vice captain of the cricket team of the second best college of Ahemdabad while Taiji and Tauji were busy in countering his boasting with large amount of taunts about his income and their generosity to him and his children. Chachaji and Chachiji were genuinely happy for him and Chachiji took special care of Arjun's daily glasses of milk and intake of fruits, hiding it from the prying eyes of Taiji.
Naina, Preeti and Swati also spent larger amount of time in the cricket ground, in order to cheer their brother and his friends. Most of the time however, Naina and Swati were busy in staring at Sameer and Munna respectively, keeping in mind that they need to hide this fact from them.
It was one day before the big match and the entire gang was in the Red Rose. The three boys were eating Samosas, while Sameer was having a sandwich, as instructed by Naina, who told him to focus on his nutrition. The others didn't listen to her advices, but Sameer did, so he found himself having sandwiches instead of the daily delicious meal. Naina too settled for sandwich today, to give company to Sameer who didn't really like the snack that much. Preeti and Swati were still munching their masala dosa, with no regard to Sameer, Naina or nutrition. It was a relief that Sunaina and Mitali didn't join them for two days, since they felt that they were distancing themselves form their friends. The gang was obviously very happy about it, because they were tired of their tantrums and extreme focus to style and fashion.
Every second, girls were coming to Sameer for wishing him luck, and assuring him that they will come to cheer him tomorrow. Naina was extremely annoyed by all this and glared at those stubborn girls. Inhe zyada hi tension hai Sameer ki. She huffed and concentrated on conversing with Preeti and Swati about what they will wear tomorrow, not at all bothered to eat her meal. Sameer was thanking two girls, when he noticed that Naina wasn't eating her sandwich. He can't blame her, he didn't like it either, but she still had to finish the blasted sandwich. He won't let her starve herself. He finished thanking them and nudged her,
"Kuch aur mangwadu tumhare liye. Mujhe pata hai ki yeh khaane mein accha nahi hai, par khaana toh padega na"
Naina was extremely pleased that he was finally concentrating on her. Waqt mil gaya mahashay ko. She then spoke,
"Nahi mujhe accha laga bas woh dhyaan Kahi aur tha.", she lied.
"Jhooth. Itna bekaar sandwich kisi Ko pasand aa hi nahi Sakta. Accha main ismein ketchup daal deta hoon, phir toh accha lagega na"
Naina's eyes brightened at the mention of ketchup and she nodded immediately. Sameer too smiled and slowly smeared ketchup on her sandwich and watched intently as she enjoyed it's taste. His were focused on her perfect rosy and plump lips. They looked so delicious, so inviting, so kissable...
He shook his head and tried to clear such thoughts from his head. He reprimanded himself yet again. But who can have a nice and platonic conversation with a person, with whom he was a passionate snog in his dream! And that too when she is wearing perfect lacy nighty! Or a towel, if you refer to his yesterday's dream.
Naina soon turned to the boys and said,
"Kal acche se match khelna, hum teeno tum sabke saath hai"
Munna grinned and answered,
"Ha pata hai, thank you. Lekin tum teeno kal aage wali seats hi lena. Phir zyada acche se dikhega". However, he wasn't looking at Naina at all, his eyes were focused on Swati who nodded and blushed, while Preeti watched the exchange with an amused grin.
"Ha lekin hum aage kaise baithenge. Stadium kaafi door hai ghar se, jaldi niklenge toh bhi late ho jayenge, peeche hi baithna padega." Naina pointed out and made a sad face.
"Arrey tum tension mat lo. Mera dost Karan inn cheezo ka incharge hai, maine usse keh diya hai ki tum teeno ke liye seat bachake rakhe."
Naina smiled at his thoughtfulness and resumed eating her sandwich. When the gang was finished with their snacks, they all decided to retire to the lectures together, since the the boys' classroom was located on the way of the girls' classroom. Suddenly Pandit exclaimed,
"Ek kaam karte hai, kal na tum teeno humare saath hi ghar chalna. Matlab ki match ka result jo bhi ho, par hum sab saath rahenge. Tum teeno sabke jaane ke Baad stadium ki entrance par humara wait karna. Hum chaaro change karke wahaan aa jayenge."
All agreed quiet happy with the suggestion and the boys finally reached their destination and they were talking to their classmates, and the girls too stopped to gossip with another classmate, when Naina saw Prem coming towards them.
Prem's face brightened at seeing Naina and he immediately walked to her.
"Hi Naina kaisi ho tum"
"Acchi hoon. Tum kaiso ho Prem."
"Ha main bhi accha hoon. Kal match hai toh main soch raha tha ki, matlab umm... tum kaha baithogi"
"Mujhe nahi pata. Sameer ne kaha ki usne incharge se baat karke hum teeno ko aagi wali seat dilwa di hai. Par kahaan, yeh toh nahi pata"
Prem made a disappointed face. Perhaps he was hoping that Naina would be clueless about the seats and they could sit together with his friends, but this didn't happen. He quickly wiped off his disappointment and bid his farewell while, Naina smiled at him and waved him a bye, after which she went to her classroom for the lectures.

The big day finally arrived and the morning was very special for everyone. Sameer woke up very early in the morning and showered pretty quickly. He came downstairs, only to see Nanaji already standing there. Sameer smiled at him and hugged his Nanaji and took his blessings, while Nanaji applied Tilak on his forehead. Sameer sat with Nanu and ate his breakfast with him. When he was finished with the meal, he turned to Nanaji and said,
"Nanaji aaj sabke liye bahut bada din hain, sab theek toh hoga na", he said with anxiousness written all over his face
Nanaji just smiled at him and said,
"Pata nahi Kyun, mujhe Aisa lag raha hai ki aaj ka din tere liye bahut accha hoga. Aur yeh match-vatch to tu Jeet hi jayega."
"Pakka na Nanaji"
"Ha pakka. Chal yeh sab chhodd, woh Arjun ki behen Naina kaisi hai"
Sameer choked on his cereal and Nanu quickly rubbed his back with an amused grin. Sameer coloured deeply under the old man's gaze. Without wasting a single moment, he grabbed his car keys and rushed out of the house, to pick his friends up, while Nana ji watched his retreating back and laughed very hard.
The morning was also special for the Aggarwal household, it was Arjun's match after all. Chachiji woke up extra early that day, since she had to prepare breakfast for Arjun, who had to leave early for the stadium so that the team can prepare for the match and have a good discussion. Everyone else was still asleep. Arjun got ready, and quickly ate his breakfast, earning a scolding from Chachiji about how he should eat slowly and chew properly. He simply grinned at her and took her blessings, after which he hurried out since he heard Sameer's honking.
The girls woke up about two hours later, and hurried to get a proper bath. Preeti wore extra fancy clothes that day, so that she is able to catch the eye of a good cricketer, no matter from what college he is. Naina too found this reasonable and for the very first time in her life, she actually took care of her looks. She wore a sky-blue knee-length shirtwaist dress, with her usual ballerina shoes. She also wore her favourite blue teardrop earrings and made a long scarf ponytail. Finally after a lot of arguing and or snatching away of the accessories , the girls came for breakfast,
"Bhagwan jhuth na bulaye, kaha reh gayi thi dono. Match dekhne Jaa Rahi ho, filam ki shooting par nahi jo itna saj-dhaj gayi ho. Bhabhiji ko pata chal gaya toh, ghar mein taandav ho jayega"
"Mummy isliye toh jaldi Jaa rahe hai, accha yeh sab chhoddo aur fatafat kuch khilado. Bahut bhook lagi hai"
The girls ate their breakfast in a hurry, since they didn't chew at all and simply swallowed whatever they had for breakfast. They got up to depart quickly, when Naina remembered something.
"Chachiji woh dahi cheeni bhi le jaau kya, good luch ke liye"
"Are ha, beta main toh bhool hi gayi thi. Main Bana deti hoon."
"Nahi aap rehne do, main hi Bana lungi."
Naina quickly ran to the kitchen and prepared a good amount of sweetened curd, so that it is enough for all the boys. She packed it in a steel container and rushed out of the house with Preeti. They managed to get an auto, and went to Swati's home to pick her up.
The three of them then headed to the stadium and they reached just half hour before. They reached the entrance, where they saw the incharge, Karan. He immediately recognised them and said,
"Arey tum teeno toh woh Sameer ki dost Ho na. Ek second, Pritam Zara idhar aa yaar." A boy of his age came to them and Karan told him, "Inn teeno ko woh third row par bitha de, jahaan mein tujhe bola tha"
The stadium was completely filled with spectators from both the colleges and the place was too loud. One look around the crowd, and all you can see is large and colourful posters accompanied by a too huge and boisterous crowd. Naina wondered if Sameer hadn't got them a seat, then if they would have been able to sit or not.
The boy nodded and took them to their seats. Preeti and Swati were mentioning about how they have got so good seats because of Sameer, when Naina asked the boy, Pritam,
"Woh umm... humari team ke changing rooms kaha hai."
The boy looked at her, quiet shocked with the question,
"Kyu tum kyu pooch Rahi ho."
"Woh mujhe Arjun bhaiya Ko kuch Dena tha"
The boy observed her, as if judging if she was lying or not, but after proper examination, he nodded and took her to the changing rooms. Naina informed Preeti and Swati and headed to the locker rooms with a steel container of sweetened curd. After walking for ten long minutes, through an extremely loud and boisterous crowd, they reached the destination. Pritam knocked the door somewhat reluctantly and Munna opened the door, and became very shocked to see Naina. He was already in his uniform.
"Naina tu Yahaan kya kar Rahi hai"
"Woh main sabke liye dahi cheeni layi thi." She replied shyly and her face was red.
He was dumbstruck by her confession, but when he regained his senses, he smiled at her thoughtfulness and opened the door for her. She entered and all the pairs of eyes turned to her. Arjun was very shocked to see her, and damn annoyed too.
"Naina tu Yahaan kyu aayi hai"
"Disturb karne ke liye sorry bhaiya, par main sabke liye dahi cheeni layi hoon. Chachiji ne good luck ke liye di hai."
Arjun didn't look too happy at the discovery, but the other boys of the team were touched by her concern for them, with special mention to Sameer, who was standing at the far end and whose eyes were drinking her sight. She took out her spoon and filled it with sweetened curd, which she fed to Arjun. Arjun opened his mouth and took it rather reluctantly. Naina smiled at him. She filled the spoon again, but before she could even think about feeding anyone else, Sameer came forward with the speed of lightning and took the curd filled spoon in his mouth. He thoroughly enjoyed it's taste after which, he took the bowl from Naina, and fed everyone else himself. How could he allow her to feed someone else with her hand? She was his. Moreover, it was a miracle that anyone other than him was allowed to eat the sweetened curd prepared by her.
Naina smiled at all of them and wished them luck, after which she was escorted back by Pritam to her seat. However, her one earring accidentally fell on the floor, but no one noticed it. Once she left, the VJN locker room was filled with the praise of one Naina Aggarwal and her thoughtfulness. The team members expressed how the girl was very sweet and she bothered to come for the team. They spent the next five minutes, enquiring about Naina from Arjun, who tried to answer them with the tiny bit of knowledge that he had about his sister with remarks from Sameer, who advised the other boys to concentrate on the match rather than her. He even mentioned how he can get her to tie a Rakhi on all of their wrists on the next Rakshabandhan, after which the team members dropped the topic after seeing the angry mood of their captain.
On the other hand, as soon as Naina reached the seat, she was bombarded with questions by Preeti and Swati, who asked for the tiniest bit of detail that they could gather. Preeti was rather dissapointed at knowing that Naina could meet the entire team at such a good time, while Swati was telling how she planned to impress the team with her clothes, with silent inclination to Munna. Fortunately, Naina was saved from answering these questions since the commentary finally began and the captains arrived for the toss. The crowd burst with the slogans and support to their college, while the girls were sighing in adoration at the sight of the VJN captain Sameer Maheshwari
The VJN won the toss and Sameer chose to field first. The players took their respective positions as Sameer had instructed them to and coincidentally, Sameer was standing in front of the girls. He caught their sight and gave them a small wave, while the Preeti and Swati gave him a larger wave and Naina blushed. Sameer smiled at this, but turned his face away and focused on the match instead.
Arjun was supposed to deliver the first over, followed by Munna. Sameer's turn was much later. The first player of the rival team got out in the second over, with catch out by Sameer. The VJN crowd erupted in joy and the girls, irrespective of being from VJN or the rival college, cheered for Sameer. The match went quiet smoothly, with the VJN taking four wickets by the end of the tenth over at a score of hundred, but unfortunately, the captain Salim Khan came. He was a particularly good batsmen, and quickly made up for the less score, with a six at the very first ball. He was able to take his team to a score of 170 runs, until he was clean bowled by Sameer, in the fifteenth over.
By the end of the last and twentieth over, the score was 234 and the rival team looked quite happy about it. The VJN team wasn't too happy about it, and they reached their locker rooms for further planning, once the last over finished. Inside the locker room, Sameer was instructing his teammates that,
"Dekho, ab kuch bhi ho jaye, humein wicket nahi gawaani hai, aur na hi ball waste karni hai. Batting sequence same hi rahega, aur ha bade shots maarne ke chakkar mein out mat hona, par bahut slow bhi mat khelna. Listen, iss time pe main tum logon ki kuch samjha nahi Sakta, tum log khud hi Samajhdaar bano. Haarna option mein bilkul nahi hai."
The team members cheered for him and they all came near for a group hug. Arjun and Munna were the openers, so they wore their cricket pads, helmets and gloves and got ready. Sameer gave them their bats, and the entire team wished them luck.
The start proved pretty nice and convincing, since Arjun smashed a six at the very first ball. The entire crowd cheered for Arjun and Munna gave him a thumbs up. Their partnership was proving very successful and they were able to make 40 runs, until Munna was clean bowled by their captain Salim in the fifth over.
He walked out dejectedly and Rishabh quickly came to replace Munna. On his way, he patted Munna on his shoulder and hurried to his spot. Rishabh didn't prove to be much help either, since he got a run out on his sixth ball, but he did manage two boundaries.
Finally, Sameer came for batting and the entire crowd burst into slogans and cheers for him. On his left, the students from his college were chanting the hymns of VJN victory and they were shouting his name. Sameer turned to them and gave them a wave, after which a second year girl with short hair fainted. Sameer moved to the batting spot, and smashed a six on his first ball.
The next two balls were dots, since Sameer didn't wanted to take a chance. The over ended and the captain took this over. Sameer clutched his bat and looked into his eyes. It was no secret that Salim was an excellent fast bowler, so he came running and delivered the ball at a good pace, but unfortunately, Sameer hit a six at his ball. The crowd again erupted in cheers and Salim gave him a "I will show you" look.
The next four overs were pretty smooth, and VJN did a quick recovery for the past overs with a good total of 120, but unfortunately, a fielder of the rival team catched out Arjun. He went away with a score of 46, not at all happy with his performance. Naina, Preeti and Swati looked at him dejectedly, but Preeti lightened the mood saying that they will definitely win.
The next batsmen was Pandit, who proved to be a excellent partner for Sameer. As the thirteenth over finished, the score was 146, and Sameer and Pandit were in great pressure because the best phase of the rival team will start. But Sameer was still confident about winning, since they were finally comfortable with the pitch and with the partnership.
So, Sameer didn't stop. He hit boundaries one after the other and Pandit basically helped to make runs by running, since he wasn't that good batsmen and didn't hit big shots, though he managed a six and a four.
It was the eighteenth over and Pandit and Sameer took the score to 190. The worst part of the match took place, when Pandit was clean bowled. Sameer hadn't been more worried in his life. He didn't care that he was at 84 and was about to finish his century, the very first century of the tournament, he just wanted to win.
His next teammate Sagar arrived, and Sameer instructed him to follow his instructions and run accordingly, since he couldn't be relied for the big shots. At the third ball of the second last over, Sameer completed his century and Naina chanted the VJN's "Sameer hymn" at the top of her lungs.
It was a very crucial time for everyone, Salim was taking the over, the total score was 210, and approximately 9 balls were left. They needed approximately 25 runs to win. The first ball was a dot ball, but Sameer hit a six on the next ball. The entire crowd was on its toes. On the next ball, they took a single and Sagar came for batting. He managed to hit the ball meekly, and Sameer quickly took his spot. Sameer then hit two boundaries consecutively, and now, they needed 9 runs from three balls. The next was a four, followed by a dot ball.
It was the last ball and they needed five runs. If he hits a four, then it will be a tie and if he hits a six, they win. Naina looked at the sky and prayed to God, while Sameer focused on the ball. Naina closed her eyes in anxiousness and didn't see the last ball. Tears were falling down her face, until she heard loud cheers from Preeti and Swati. They won!
Apparently he did hit a six and the entire team had already rushed to him. Sameer hugged Sagar tightly and the team went for a team hug. The VJN side of crowd was busy in taunting the rivals and chanting the "Sameer hymn", while tears were falling from Naina's eyes.
She watched meekly as Sameer shook hands with Salim and got the Man of the Match or shared his pressure points with everyone, and then the VJN students hoisted him up. She was still in a daze. Finally, the stadium had started emptying and the team had retired to their changing room.
The girls too headed towards the entrance to wait for the boys, when Preeti noticed something.
"Naina teri earrings kahaan gayi?"
Naina checked her ears, and the next ten minutes were spent in the frantic search for Naina's earrings. She was in tears. It was so precious to her. Her Chachiji had gifted her that on her birthday and now she has lost it!
"Yaar Naina kya pata tune usse boys ke locker room mein chhodd diya ho"
Naina got the point. She ran towards the changing rooms, after telling that she will return quickly. She went inside the door and saw that the gate was already open, strange. She quickly got inside and accidentally, shut the door behind her with a bang. She didn't care about it though. She looked around the room, but no-one was there. Maybe they had left. She shook her head and started looking frantically for her lost earring, until she heard a voice,
"Naina"
She turned around and gasped. Sameer was standing there. He was wearing a blue denim jeans and his hair were wet. He had obviously just finished taking a shower, but there was just one problem, he was shirtless. Her eyes went to his perfectly smooth chest and the very inviting abs. He had broad shoulders and his arms were too muscular. His chest was telling her to move closer, telling her to touch it, feel it, do something... But she did the very noble deed, and shut her eyes.
On the other hand, Sameer was shocked to see her. He had just taken a shower and he was about to wear his t-shirt, until he saw her, looking for something. He called her and she turned to him.He looked at her perfect exposed legs, and round breasts. Her curves were damn round. He felt extremely uncomfortable. He was undeniably and pathetically turned on.
He was calming his growing erection, when he saw her checking him out. He definitely liked to be checked out by her, but the next moment she shut her eyes. He couldn't control himself anymore. He moved towards her and she moved back, until she was pinned to the wall. She can't escape now. He observed her beautiful face. She had so nice cheekbones and so pretty eyelashes. He ran a finger through her cheek and Naina shivered. He pushed a lone strand of her hair, behind her ear and she finally opened her eyes. They both looked at each other, totally unaware about the surroundings or what is right or wrong. What mattered, was this beautiful moment, that won't come again.
They were too close, only a feeble wind was allowed to pass through them. Naina felt liquid heat pooling between her legs and she unknowingly crossed her legs. The desire couldn't be tamed, nothing could satisfy the throbbing pain between her legs. What was happening to her?. Sameer couldn't take it it anymore. The erection, the surroundings, the heat radiating from her face, the growing desire, everything was killing him. He was tortured beyond limit. His wet, pleasure-rich dreams were too much. Sameer hummed in satisfaction, as her lips moved on his. His hands reached her waist, and he felt her curves for the very first time. His hands explored her body, and reached her navel, where he stroked her slowly. Naina gasped and as she opened her mouth, Sameer got the opportunity to deepen the kiss further. The pleasure was unbelievable for Naina, and she collapsed on his chest. Her hands moved to his chest and felt his abs, as Sameer moaned. Sameer's grip tightened around her, and he held her to his chest. His tongue slipped into her mouth and he explored her, as Naina moaned in satisfaction, pleasure rushing through her veins. Their tongues fought for dominance, and Sameer was supporting her light weight, pinning him to her.
Finally they broke the kiss, when the need for air overpowered them. They breathed heavily for a few seconds, and then stared at each other. It was an awkward silence. She was still pinned to his chest and his hands were on her waist, while her own were on his chest. Sameer couldn't take it anymore. He went forward for another kiss and Naina reciprocated enthusiastically.
