So Aditi is saying there was a gap in the marriage and hence Kunal fell for somebody else. Would be nice if they would just for once elaborate on this gap.

But they do not forget to give full emphasis on the happy perfect couple part and then say there is a gap. 😆😆

gap means -- men usually more interested in romance and sex in relationship where as wife looses interest in sex over the period of time [ i am talking about majority of women but not all of them ]...it is noticed that Indian male more sexually active even after 40s - 50s - 60s--but women are less sexually interested in this age groups..for women after some period of time family and responsibility takes centre stage over husband and his desire for romance and sex...
baccha hone ke baad though husband position goes to last...wife priority becomes - 1st child -2nd family -3rd husband...
so men start to search greener pastures over the period of time say after 10 years or more..

makers implicitly touched this but not explicitly pronounced it...

if there was some gap in their marriage it is understandable and not offensive(like I think they aren't open with each other) but they shouldn't imply or say that there was something missing in mauli that nandini fulfilled.I think SA said something like this.

How does Nandini fulfil that gap ? By cooking and being available 24*7 for Kunal's demands? By needing Kunal's support always ? How is this new relationship not toxic ?
