Chapter 2 

Pyar ka ImteHaaN

September was still humid and no sign of winters so far...It was almost  One month since that conversation passed... it was a bright Sunday and Sameer was lost in thought of the passed one week sitting in his room alone , 

After they had reconciled it turned out to be an exciting whole week.. Somehow all their  friends thought Naina should fight  G.S. elections and why not ,She was bright and Intelligent..She had been Head girl in their school.. The First year in college was so much rushed with breakups and heartbreaks that they never thought about anything..But with new equations to their new  relationships now..And Naina finally realizing her potential all friends wanted her to atleast give this elections a try..As usual Naina gave in on all their  demands and agreed ...But the problem came from the least expected source...

As they were having hard time of their lives and didn't thought about other things, Naina had denied earlier suggesting Swati should fight for the G.S. Post... It wasn't even discussed about with the whole gang..Only girls made it on the spot decision that Swati was to fight ...But when the matter was sorted out between both Sameer and Naina,their gang also came all together as if even they had a breakup like the couple  during all this time.. Now everyone ,wanted Naina again..She had full chances to win..They all knew ...And they  started preparing for her campaign ..Much to the displeasures of Swati..Who thought it betrayal and in her anger she had joined hands with Kartik and his gang..More over now she was determined to help Sunaina (other one of his  mistake thought ) and make Naina lose..

All their attempts conspired to defame Naina and make her lose ..But somehow Sameer himself managed to bring Naina out of every trouble and even win the election...Everyone was happy but their trust over Swati was lost...And although this was huge win where the Principal and JBR himself saw the exposed cunningness of Kartik gang as they had changed the ballot papers with Naina's name to Sunaina (like they changed the name on posters earlier..).. 

Naina came out as winner.. but the happiness was lost from the group on loss of their one of most trusted friend Swati..Swati was Naina's  friend since their 1st standards and She was Munna's girlfriend since last year..So Now both were disheartened by Swati's betrayal more then others...

Although Sameer was angry over Swati for back stabbing them..but for the sake of Munna and Naina he also was sad..Munna was so broken by all this that he didn't even came to Sameer's house even it was Sunday..

Sameer was now thinking what can be done now..As they can't change their past..What was done was done..

 

He picked his phone and dialed Pandit ..Pandit picked the phone not sounding his usual self..It was the greatest bond three of them shared , they were together in each others happiness as well as their sorrows, which meant if one is sad they all will be sad..He has seen his friends suffer with him during his hard times..And now he could feel the same when Munna was having his heartbreak..

"Pandit kya kar raha hai ..Aaj ghar pe nahi aaye tum dono..." Sameer said sounding casual

."bhai wo chenu na kal se jo ghar gaya, na phone utha raha na ghar jane se bahar nikal raha..Bahut zor ki lagi hai usko .." Pandit replied in his usual irritated tone..He also never liked to see his friends heartbroken..And he was happy that atleast he didn't have such tensions in his life till now..

" Sun yaar Aise kaam kaise chalega..Udhar Naina bhi phone pe nahiN aa rahi..Idhar Munna bhi pareshan hai..Jo hua bura hua jaanta huN..Lekin humko Munna ke liye kuch to karna hi padega na.. Swati ..."

" Naam mat le Sameer uska .." interrupted an angry Pandit ... " Usko na apne bachpan ki saheli ki fikar hui na hamare bhai ki..Munna bawala kahiN ka,  uske ghum me devadas bana baitha hai..Mujhe to dar hai bhai wo teri khadauu aur dhoti kurta maang ke kahi sanyasi na ban jaye .." Pandit voiced his concern...

"Are nahi..Ye kasie hoga..Sun kuch to karna hi hoga...Swati ne aisa kiya to koi to wajah rahi hogi...Warna tum sab ek dusre ko bachpan se jante ho..Wo achanak aise hamare khilaaf ..Aur wo bhi Naina ke, apni best friend ke khilaf aisa kaise karegi.." Sameer tried to find some clue..

"Baat to teri sahi hai bhai...Bachpan ka pakka yarana tha us Swati ka bhabhi ke saath..Un dono ke beech me to preeti bhi kabhi nahiN aayi aaj tak..Pata nahi us Nagin Sunaina ne aisa kya zeher bhara Swati ke deemag me .." Pandit 

" Tu ghar aa ..Kuchh sochte haiN..Hua to hum dono ek baar fir Munna ke ghar chalenge .Usko aise dukh me hum akela kaise chhor de.." Sameer  disconnected the call..

Pandit and Sameer together  went to Munna but his Mom told them that he is out to Surat with his Father and will be back by night...So they came back and waited for next morning to meet the gang in College..And even ask Swati if they get chance to talk to her...

Sameer and Pandit reached college early ..As munna was still not back from Surat they decided to meet him today evening ..

Naina and other girls minus Swati entered ..And by looks on their face they all seemed to be sad ...They greeted everyone..And moved for their class as it was time of their 1st lecture..

They moved to the class..And had their seats...Whole class cheered for Naina for winning the G.S. post ..Naina thanked them but half heartedly ...Swati entered and took her seat with Mitali and Sunaina ...pained expressions appeared on Naina's face..Sameer consoled her by holding her hand ...Naina gave him a small smile..

The whole day was blurred with events like everyday..Only Swati now with her new found group of friends..In Classrooms , Red Rose ...Every time they all just ignored it with a sad look on everyone's face...Even Kamya and Hema who joined their gang just last year were not happy at all..Every time they saw Swati..They whispered something bad in each other's ear..Giving Swati a deadly look...

Swati on the other hand was ignoring them all .She didn't even notice or expressed curiosity at Munna's absense..

Now Sameer had a worried thought will it be ever all right among them..He just wanted his old gang back..But the last few months had changed something in each one of them..They were not their older self..And this pained Sameer..This changed dynamics of friendship was huge for him to handle as well.. he had faced a major heart break few months back, thinking he had lost everything and never getting his love back..And now his best friend also was on that stage ..How much Sameer hated to admit but this changes were affecting him more and more..He was not so bright to accept the sudden changes of relationship...He faced early hardship since his childhood..And this was first time he had a real family..people who cared for him and he cared for them..He did not want to lose his family when after such a fight he just got his love back..he was now more then sure he wanted his family ,his gang back...With this resolve he thought of a plan to bring everyone together..

He and Pandit went straight to Munna from college..Munna can't ignore them for rest of his life...This time they will wait there for his return...

Very nice story... Loved the heart to heart conversation that Naina and Sameer had in the garden. It was a much required one...we didn't get in the serial..good that you gave us !

Chapter 3

Aar ya Paar

The roads had the regular traffic but today it was disturbing Sameer more then ever ...His mind was occupied how to bring his friends back together..And moreover how to save his brother and best friend Munna from this heartbreak...As his bike moved in the traffic he had a proper plan set..Which he discussed with Pandit...

That was the close bond the three of them shared...Although initially Pandit disagreed to make any attempts for Swati..But he agreed as it affected their other friend ...These  three were one in that context ,if one's happiness was for all ,then one's sadness was also meant for all..

Rushing with heavy heart they reached their destination...Munna's home.. his mom again tried to ward them off from meeting Munna ..But this time they ignored and went straight to his room...

He had been here a lot of times..But the cheerfullness of the this room which vibrated the character of its occupant was now dull and lousy again relating them with the mood of its occupant ...Munna was face down on his bed ...He jerked to look at both his brothers ...

Munna -" tum dono "

Sameer -" haa hum dono "

Munna -" bhai tum log jao yaha se mera mood nahi abhi kisi se koi baat karne ka"

Sameer -" hum dost hai munna..Aur ek dusre ki khushi ya ghum hamari sabki hai"

Munna who had controlled his tears so far started crying like a child..And all three sat there to have munna pour his heart out once ..After he was done he hugged both his friends..

Munna- " mujhe samjh nahi aaya ki mai tum dono se kaise milu..Khas taur se tujhse Sameer ...Itni mushkil se tu aur bhabhi mile ..Aur ab ye sab ho gaya..Mujhe laga tum dono mere baare me kya sochoge"

Sameer-" tu pagal hai...Aisa kaise soch liya..Hum teenoN alag alag zarur haiN lekin hamari jaan ek hai..Aur jo hua usme hum teri galati kaise maane .."

Munna - " us frock wale pandat ne jo kiya uski wajah se mujhe bahut bura laga Sameer"

Sameer-"usne jo kiya wo chhor ..Kya tu uske bina reh payega..Abhi to 2 din me tune apna ye haal bana liya .."

The tears now again started to roll out of Munna's eyes..He knew he can never love anyone if not Swati...

Sameer got the answer he needed..

Sameer-" chal ab uth aur ghar chal..Bhabhi ne tere liye dhokle aur kachauri banai hai ..Bahut hua ye devdas ban na..

All three came to Sameer's house and were now in his room...After munching on the snacks and some banters between friends ..Sameer picked his phone and called Naina..She picked the phone this time..

N -" hello"

S - " mai bol raha huN..Tum thik ho"

N - " haaN ..Lekin Sameer jo hua wo mujhe bahut bura laga..Swati ko kya problem thi ,usne bataya to hota..Wo meri bachpan ki saheli hai Sameer ,hamare beech kabhi aise koi badi baat nahi hui aaj tak..Aur is baar Swati ne seedhe jo kiya ..Wo meri to samajh hi nahi aaya"

S- " hmm ,samajh sakta huN..Munna ka bhi yahi haal hai.. Abhi usko jaise bhi mana ke ghar pe leke aaye haiN..Lekin hume ek baar Swati se baat karna hi hoga.."

N- " maine usko phone lagaya tha ..Lekin usne bola ki use koi baat nahi karni hum sab se.." 

S- " kal pakka hum usse college me baat karenge..mai sab theek kar dunga..Tumko bharosa hai na mujh par"

N - " haaN.. tum Munna ka dhyan rakhna ,usko bahut bura lag raha hoga na"

After this call ..Sameer now narrated his plan to both his friends..They agreed and it was decided tomorrow their gang will try to keep Kartik and others busy ,while Sameer ,Munna and Naina will have a discussion with Swati...They will tell about this plan to all the girls when they meet in college..

Next day in college Sameer stopped  Naina asking her about some notes whereas Pandit told Kamya ,Hema and Preeti about their plans to keep Kartik gang busy..

Preeti rebuffed not to help as she was quite angry with Swati..But when Pandit explained this was for Naina and Munna girls agreed to help...

As soon as Kartik and Gang entered college..They send a First year student to tell Kartik that Principal mam has called Sunaina and Kartik...

The two left for principal's office leaving Mitali ,Priyank and Swati alone..Who wanted to go to Red Rose but Swati said she needs to return a book to the Library..

As soon as Swati entered Library..She saw Sameer ,Naina and Munna already there..

She tried to back off but Sameer stopped her..

Swati -" jaane do , mujhe tum logoN se koi baat nahiN karni "

Munna - " kyuN baat nahi karni aisa kya ho gaya is ek hafte me ki tune bachpan ki dosti hi bhula di..Bhool gayi Naina aur tu bachpan ki pakki saheli ho"

Swati -" kyu jab dusre ko hi ye yaad nahi to mai kyu yaad rakhu .."

Now Naina who was silent till now couldn't stop herself..

Naina - " mujhe yaad nahiN ..Maine kya kiya bata.."

Swati - " bol to aise rahi ho jaise ki tumhe kuch maloom nahiN..Lekin jaise hi mauqa mila tumhe zara sa bhi time nahiN laga mujhe doodh ki makhi ki tarah bahar nikalne meN.."

Naina now confused -" doodh ki makhi ,Swati kya bol rahi hai tu..Mujhe samjh nahiN aa raha..Maine kab kiya tere saath kuch.."

Swati who was now more angry on both of their act of ignorance blurted out - " achha ..Jab tera man hua tune election ke liye mana kar diya..Jab man hua election me khadi ho gayi..tune infact tum sab ne  socha ki mujhe kaisa lagega...Poore college me sabko pata tha ki mai election me khadi hone wali thi..Aur achanak tumhara..Yani Naina devi ka man wapas ho gaya election me khade hone ka to mujhe bas yun hi hata diya..Tum sab ki wajah se mujhe kitna apmanit mehsoos hua jaante ho..Sab hans rahe the mujh par..."

Naina was now on verge of tears..And Munna slumped down on a chair...

Swati - " ye rone -dhone ka aur bholepan ka natak ab  mat karo mere saamne..tumhara kya hai ya to ro logi ya fir chhat pe chadh jaogi...Mai Sameer nahi jo tumhare aansoo se pighal jau aur sab purani baat bhool jau ...Bahut dekh li tumhari dosti aur tumhara asli chehra...In sab ko karna ho to kareN tumhari ghulami..Mujhe koi shauq nahiN..Waise bhi mujhe yaad rakhna chahiye tha ki tum to Naina ho ..Mahan Naina devi..Tumko jab jo chahiye hota hai wo to tum waise bhi haasil kar hi logi..Chahe wo G.S ki seat ho ya fir chahe wo Sameer ka pyar...Tumhare liye maine Sameer ke pyar bhula diya..Aur tum ..."

Sameer who was silent till then..Was shocked at her statements ..

Sameer- " Swati ek minute ..Mere pyar ka kya ...Tum kaisi baat kar rahi ho Naina se.."

Swati - " mai kuch kehna nahi chahti thi lekin ab keh diya to suno..Shuru se isne hamesha mujhe niche samjha..Mai tumse pyar karti thi..Aur mujhe iski wajah se tumhe bhoolna pada..Kyunki Naina to meri dost thi..mai uske saath aise kaise kar sakti thi..Fir jab mai election me khadi hui to isne wo bhi mujhse chheen liya..Khud election ke liye khadi ho gayi...Aur tum sab to ho hi iske isharo pe chalne wale..Sab ne is ko khada kar diya..Har time bas Naina ,Naina ,Naina..Yaha tak ki ye Munna jo boyfriend to mera hai..Lekin din bhar bas Naina Naina karta rehta hai..Ab bas bahut hua..Mujhse ye sab nahiN hoga .."

Naina- "Swati tu to sab kuch janti hai..Maine aur Sameer ne kitna kuch jhela..Aur jis Pyar ki tu baat kar rahi hai wo mujhe kitni mushkil se mila..Maine to ummed hi chhor di thi..Us shart ke baad..Sameer ke Delhi jane ke baad, wapas aaya to Manhoosiyat aur fir ghar pe hungama..Mai to khud hi nahi samjh payi ye sab kaise hota gaya..Aur Sameer se mai pyar karti thi ,lekin wo ektarfa tha..Jise Sameer ne wapas mujhse pyar karke poora kiya..Tune to sab kuch dekha na..Maine kaha tera pyar chheena bata..In sab ne mujhe kaha election me mujhe khada hona hai..Pehle bhi in sab ke kehne pe maine haa ki thi..Warna mai to khud us Sharad aur Shaadi ki wajah se pareshaan thi..Aur baad me jab us din Sameer ne mujhe propose kiya to mai itna toot chuki thi..Maine to mana hi kar diya na election ladne se..In sabne fir zid ki aur Sunaina ne Jakar mera naam de diya tha..Mai kya karti tu to thi na wahaN...Tune to sab dekha..Fir bhi tujhe lagta hai ki meri galati hai to mai maafi maang leti hu tujhse "

Sameer -" tum kyu maafi mang rahi ho Naina ..Tumne aisa kuch nahi kiya..Kiya yo isne hai us Sunaina aur Kartik ke saath milkar.."

Munna- " maine to bas ye soch ke kiya ki tu bhi hum sab ke jaise yahi soch rahi hogi ..Aur hamare saath hai..Tune kuch kaha bhi nahiN..Humko kaise pata lagta.."

Swati -" kaha to maine Sunaina se bhi nahiN..Lekin usko samjh aa gaya..Usne dekha mera dard..Aur mera saath dene ke liye Taiyar bhi ho gayi..Tum sab jaise dost bol ke dhokha dene wale matlabi logo ki tarah nahi .."

 

Sameer -" achha ..Kya saath diya Sunaina ne tumhara..Khud ka naam hatakar tumhe khada kar deti wo election ke liye..Lekin nahi..Usne bas tumko use kiya hamari khabar lene ke liye..hum par nazar rakhne ke liye ...Aur aaj kya hua unka..Haar gaye na wo..Naina hi jeeti na.."

Swati -" kyunki tumne waha sab ke saamne mera pol khol diya ..Aur ek baar fir se sab ke beech me mujhe beizzat kar diya.."

Munna - " Ae Pandat ! Ab tu na kuch nahi samjhne wali ..Tu ja..Bahut bol diya tune..Aur sun liya humne..Tujhe jis din samjh aayega na wapas aa jana daud kar..Hum maaf kar denge tujhe..Kyunki hum aaj bhi tere dost haiN.."

With this Munna left from there...Sameer tried to stop him but he didn't  stop...

Naina gave one more tearful glance to Swati and said " dekh Swati jo hua wo jane -anjaane meN hua ...MaiN maanti hu mujhe ek baar tujhse baat karni chahiye thi..Maine nahi ki..Aur tune bhi mujhe nahi bataya kuch..Mujhe laga ki tu bhi in sab ke faisle me saath hai..Lekin jo hona tha wo ho gaya..Hum ab is baare me kuch nahiN kar sakte..Lekin aage ke liye itna keh sakti huN ki maiN tere baare me soch ke hi aisa kuch karungi..Hum itne purane dost haiN jab hum dosti ka matlab bhi nahi jaante the...Kam se kam us dosti ke liye sab baate bhool ja aur wapas aa ja..Munna ke liye , wo bahut dukhi hai sach meN.."

 

With her last word Naina and Sameer  left ,The library...Leaving Swati  to think ...

The gang later were sitting in an empty classroom ..They shared everything with others..

Pandit -" deemag kharab ho gaya hai us Swati ka..Bakwaas kar rahi hai.."

Preeti -" haa aur nahiN to kya ..Choti si baat ko kahaN se kahaN le gayi.." 

Kamya and Hema also nodded ..

Naina- " nahi galati hum sab se hui..hameN usko poochna chahiye tha ek baar but jo hona tha ho gaya ..Ab kya.."

Sameer " Naina tum G.S ban gayi na..To tumhe dusre post bhi decide karne honge..Kya hum aisa nahiN kar sakti ki ek post Swati ko de deN..Jaise Drama club ya kuch aur..Tumhe yaad hai usne Julie ka role kiya tha school meN.."

Naina - " haa Sameer ye to maine socha hi nahiN..Bilkul ...maiN usko Creative  Team ki head bana dungi...Shayad us se hum sab ki guilt thori si kam ho jaye.."

Next day the in College  the new teams and their Heads name was mentioned in the Notice board..

Kartik and gang saw Swati's name there..And got angry...

When they met Swati in the coridor Sunaina busted her with all her anger ..

Sunaina ..-" waah welcome miss Swati ,our New Creative head"

Swati - " kya hua Sunaina "

Sunaina - " kya hua ..Mujhe to pehle hi samajh jana chahiye tha ki jo apne bachpan ke friends ki wafadaar nahi hui wo hamari wafadaar kaise hogi..Lekin nahiN tum sab ek jaise ho ..Matlabi kahiN ke...Mera saath dene ka natak kiya aur us Naina ko jeeta diya..Aur khud Creative head ban gayi.."

Swati - " Sunaina maine kya kiya ..Ulta maine to tumhara saath diya ..Naina ko harane me..."

Sunaina -" haa lekin haraya to nahin na..Ulta mauqa milte hi tumne sab ke saamne ballot paper change karne ki baat bhi maan li..Aur hamari inti insult karwa di..Sabke saamne hume jhootha aur cheater bana diya..Jabki cheater to tum sab ho..Pehle wo Sameer ,poore college ke saamne mujhe propose karke meri insult ki..Aur fir sabke saamne mujhe chhor bhi diya..Aur fir tum jaisi bevkoof ko maine socha ki tum Naina se nafrat karti hogi..Aur dekho tumne bhi wahi kiya..Poore college ke saamne hamara Tamasha bana diy a ..ab khadi kya ho yaha ...Jao apne unhi matlabi dostoN ke paas..Hamare group me tum jaisoN ke liye koi jagah nahiN.."

Swati now crying badly  turned to leave on Sunaina's harsh tone..But she was stopped by her old group..

Naina held her by her shoulders..And faced Sunaina..

Naina- " himmat kaise hui tumhari meri dost se aisi baat karne ki..Samajhti kya ho khud ko tum.."

Sunaina - " mujhe tum jaise logo se baat hi nahiN karni ,chalo Kartik"

Naina - " Aaj to tum ko baat bhi karni hogi aur hamari baat sun ni bhi hogi..Tum ko agar dosti shabd ki samajh hoti to tum kabhi Swati ko aise na bhadkati hum sab ke khilaaf..Aur agar Pyar shabd ki samajh hoti to tum samajh paati Sameer aur mere pyar ko..Lekin tumko na dosti ki samjh hai na pyar ki...Tum meri dost ko matlabi keh rahi ho jabki matlabi to tum ho jo Kartik ko aise hi chor diya Sameer ke liye ...Tum matlabi ho..Aur tum kisi ki dost aur pyar ban bhi nahiN sakti kabhi ...Samjhi tum

Maine aur  Sameer ne tumse ek baar maafi maangi ki jo hua wo bura hua..hamari galati thi..lekin tum jaise log samajh hi nahiN sakte ...Aur kaan khol kar sun lo ..Bahut hua tumhara drama ..Ab aainda agar  ham me se ya college meN kisi ko bhi pareshan kiya to mujhse bura koi nahi hoga.."

And with this the whole Gang started to Snap their fingers ( the famous finger snapping of Samundit Trio) and start revolving around Sunaina and others..

EPILOGUE

Laters in Red Rose..The whole gang was there..With Sameer-Naina and Swati -Munna sitting beside each other holding hands..

Swati -" mujhe maaf kar do Munna ...Maine tumhare baare me bilkul nahiN socha "

Munna - " maaf to tu bhi mujhe kar de Pandat..Socha to maine bhi nahiN tere baare me"

Swati  smiling fondly at him - " kar dungi bas ek baar mera naam le"..

 

Every one laughed at them..

Munna - " Aye Swati ! Ab to tu Creative head hai college ki ,bol kya karegi "

Swati - " hmm ! Karna to bahut kuch hai par sabse pehle ek Drama karte haiN...Romeo -Juliet wala"

Munna - " haaN par is baar Romeo Mai banunga aur tu meri Juliet "

Swati blushed at him ..She was happy to be back at her old friends and love ...And she was sure that nothing could ever break their friendship ever..

Sameer and others smiled at their cuteness ..And Naina thought so what that she did never played  Juliet but she got her Romeo forever...Her Sameer..
