I don't like to watch movies or shows whiich try to promote extra marital affairs. That's the reason I am not watching this show though I like Dhrasti Dhami. There is no justification for a third person breaking a marriage and then justifying their actions.
What I want to know is why are members supporting Nandini's character. Can someone brief me up with the story and why I should watch it?

It is upto you to watch the show and judge for yourself.there are people here who support Mauli and there are people who support Nandini and they all have their reasons. You may or may not agree with these reasons. So It is better you decide for yourself and it is about the extramarital affair and I love the show.I want to know why, what, when, and how.and though I started with that reason,The acting and the flaws that each character is showing is just keeping me glued to the screen. The show shows none of them are perfect and the imperfections are what is making the show interesting.
I am not in any position to tell you why to watch this show. You are old enough to decide for yourself. But give the story a chance and see why they are doing what they are doing. And Having Drashti in it makes it more palatable and Shakti is doing a good job as the fallen man.

Hey nice post. I'm in the same boat as you. Dont like watching shows which have Emas. Even if they do the wife character shouldnt be like Mauli for sure. Coz she's a good wife and a man cheating on her is the most heartbreaking betrayal.

And here the guy is gonna or might cheat with her own best friend who was a victim of an abusive marriage. So can't digest one victim making another innocent woman a victim.
People have various mindsets, opinions, they might watch the show, it's upto them. But this show isn't my cup of tea either.

The show is bold enough to take on a topic that they know will spark lots of controversy, and I applaud them for it. This is about an extramarital affair...but not just that. There are stories about world-famous smugglers and dacoits, for example, Narcos, Haseena Parker, and Phoolan Devi. Why do people make such shows? Aren't they promoting, justifying and glorifying crime?

No. They're telling a story. The lives of people who've done wrong in the eyes of society aren't always easy. These lives are complicated and full of twists and turns. A course of events in their lives led them to do what they do, and even after all the crimes they commit, they're ultimately human. And I'm talking about people who've killed innocent ones.

This is also a story. The twists and turns are related to human feelings and emotions, which are fairly complicated. In a society where mental illness and depression are still taboo, I would expect very few people to understand this concept. Cheating on a spouse isn't a capital crime. Yet it's sometimes considered a bigger crime than murder. But just like every other 'criminal', a person who cheats has a story. It's not necessarily the one that justifies what he or she has done, but nevertheless it shows the journey of emotions they go through. And the best part about this show is the fact that they've shown the characters to be as real as the platform of Indian television of today allows them. Kunal has a perfect wife and yet he falls for another woman. That is a flawed character by definition of society and they have real guts to show it! Because if he had a bad wife, there would've been no controversy. But what he's doing is ultimately human...being steered by his emotions. And so is Nandini. And this is their story. There's no justification for it, there's no answer to "why?!!!". It is what it is.

I don't agree that it is the duty of every show to pass a message. This show is for adults, and adults are called adults because they are considered mature enough to think for themselves and definitely not be influenced by a work of fiction. Every show has one job - to tell a story. And this one is telling a damn good one.

If you are fan of acting, go ahead - all four are fab actors

but story is something which does not appeal to me at all, neither I am able to connect with Kunal and Nandini.

They have fallen for each other out of blue, there is no base to their attractions. All of a sudden, he saw her dancing in rain and started feeling for her. despite, his wife is an ideal wife anyone would wish for. She is modern, talented, earning, successful and family oriented. But he has now lost charm in her and started feeling for wife's friend.

Nandini has also realised her feelings for Kunal but she still has somewhat guilt. But, no idea where will writers take it forward

My neighbor is a divorcee. Her husband cheated on her and married her best friend. I see her struggling in bringing up her 2 children. So I find it hard to support Nandini. Somehow I cannot think of it as just a story...
There are so many people who hated Kabhie Alvida Na Kehena.

I love all the actors and esp Dhristi Dhami.
I understand that one feels bad for a wronged wife, but this is fantasy , not real life.
So feel that we can enjoy Kunal and nandini romance.
Let's keep reality away and watch the show.
Love the concept of forbidden romance in it.
Even I felt that kunal's attraction towards nandini was too fast and the bond shown between Kunal and mouli in the initial episodes was too strong.
Wish they had shown Kunal and mouli relationship more like friends and less passionate.
Tha5 is a the main reason why audience is not connecting with Kunalan Nd nandini.
But I am totally rooting for Kunal and nandini.
If this was real life, I would say that Nandini is suffering from post traumatic stress, she is in no way ready for a new relationship. If she is attracted to Kunal it is more of support and convenience rather than love.
Kunal is taking advantage of a vulnerable nandini and a character like Kunal will fall in love may times in his life , god forbidden when he goes through mid life crisis
But this is not real life, so Kunal and nandini are soulmate's ans I am thoroughly enjoying their forbidden romance.
