The show reflects reality because EMAs happen all the time in real life but the way they are trying to show both Kunal (at times) and Nandini to be such nice people it is very difficult to digest the fact that they are holding hands and gazing , eye locks and hugs and getting more and more emotionally involved while the innocent wife and friend who has done nothing but be nice and supportive and loving for both of them with an open and trusting heart makes you feel really sad for her.
Nandini is getting the blame more than Kunal because a woman who has been victimized for such a long time at her husband's hand and saved by her best friend , who loves her friends happy marriage and used to say that is rishtey Ko kisi ki nazar na lagey is now causing that loving marriage to break because she couldn't control her emotions, she deserves better than somebody else's husband to start her new life.
Kunal on the other hand is a hopeless case who has already moved on from his wife to Nandini as day and night he is only thinking about her and not bothered about his wife. It is only because of Nandini putting the restrictions that is stopping him from leaving Mauli.
EMA is not just sleeping with someone else, it is total betrayal, first it is emotional and then physical. They are already on the first stage of that journey.
Watch it just to understand what makes good people also do bad things. There is no emotion that cannot be controlled. There is a reason why marriages were created in our society otherwise it would be an open field to sleep around and lead your life as animals do, stay with one partner then move on to the next one that you find attractive.
