Can't believe that they follow these kind of caste discrimination to this extent even these days also. When other countries are thinking about how to provide good health, infrastructure and education to its citizens, we are still stuck in these age old nonsense beliefs. When it is time for a blood transfusion or organ transfusion do they check caste. Feeling so angry on those kind of people.
my neighbor i keep telling about is a jain maheshwari. She says this version of story is cooked up and maheshwaris practicing hinduism are vaishnavites who worship vishnu and agrawals worship shiva and that's the basic difference is what she said. Oh and i was talking to her in serial's context only 😆Originally posted by: priya_nka_yudkb
I am a Maheshwari and never ever heard this version of the story. May be Maheshwari'' under play it as they don't want their ancestors to know that we were servants of Agrawals...😆
What I have always known is that Maheshwari's are somehow linked to Lord Shiva (forgot the complete story, will share if I find it somewhere)And Agrawals are related to Lord Agrasen... So there no relation just that these are both marwaris and part of vaishya community.Details about King Agrasenhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agrasen
