I will repeat... all this is being brushed under the carpet coz it is the FL instead of the ML. We never forgave plot conveniences to this extent when it was Vivaan. 😛

I have the same problems regarding Meera but somehow see the other side too. So I am basically sitting on the fence and can not decide. I am forever thinking she is bachi and her idiot father is breaking her with his emotional blackmail. When she spoke sense he gave her the, 'Meera mara huwa moo dekho gi' line. What sort of father does that?

What makes this track good is better execution and the fact that Vivaan is not a passive bystander. He even hears everything Meera told Dolly today.

So basically that was nothing more than #plotconvenience then. It was WRONG! Wrong on so many levels.

bold-That is an interesting way to look at it. But I am sorry, somehow I am not able to take that and I hope you don't mind.😆We'll have to agree to disagree here.

I guess I am just pissed off because of the lack of proper authority from her end and the dialogues. I hated those lines. I am not saying that he should be forgiven. (I find him irredeemable myself ftm)

But they have no right to treat him that way.

And she legit says "his way of doing things is not going to win me over". Ok fine don't give in but then also tell this clearly to your father and ask him to stop harassing that guy who has a sick sister! But she then drops the bomb that she kinda sorta wants him to "rise in her father's eyes". Doesn't she realize that it means MORE TORTURE for him??😕They are wasting Meera here... she comes across as someone who will silently hope for the best, as everyone else goes through the worst. OFC she is not like that but that is how the writing is.

Maybe I am over-reacting and all we can do is wait for upcoming episodes. I wish they make her stand clear instead of this confused version that we are getting now.

If they are showing some anger-management then that is really a plus.

I hope they make her stand clear. And yes the dialogues need to be worked upon. They need to show her confused state in a better manner.
Call it a bias for the character but I don't find Vivaan irredeemable. Yeh he acted wrongly but at least he apologises and realises his mistakes. Meera on the other hand never reflects on her actions and their consequences nor has she ever apologised to Vivaan for all her misdoings

I think Vivaan will support Dolly...

I am not certain how Meera will react after what DAD has done...

bold- 😆😆 That is classic ITV trope. That is precisely my problem with Kaleerein. heights of cliche... a matured person will never find Meera right every time but the screenplay passes her as right and it is HELL annoying. And what better way to show that by making VK do something uncharacteristic?

And that brings me to the other problem I have with this show. They have butchered Vivaan mercilessly, deviating from the established characterization. It would have been so much better had they shown both of them growing together, reflecting on their mistakes. Kaleerein gave those vibes in the first 50 epis. But now it is something I do not associate with as a viewer but cannot quit entirely either... I started following an ITV show after 6-7 yrs after all.
