Hi, first of all I am really sorry for the late reply. I somehow lost track of this and saw this is in my posts just now while searching for another post.
Coming back to ayurvedic products. Honestly it depends a lot on what suits your skin. What suits everybody might not suit you For example - I heard great things about kumkumadi tailam. How it clears out skin and gives a glow etc. I tried two brands - kottakkal ayurvaidhshala that is an ancient ayurveda clinic in kerala that is authentic and very trustworthy. And from kama ayurveda. But none of them suited me. No glow, made my skin look oily and gave me little bumps that thankfully cleared it as soon I stopped using.
So you need to be careful and aware about what suits you, wrll that goes for every cosmetic natural or not.
Coming to forest essentials - I somehow dont really trust the brand. The fragrance is too artificial for me. Ayurvedic products never smell that good. They are supposed to have this distinct smell. I have used their face wash, rosewater, shampoo, soap, lip balm and body lotion. The only thing I really liked was the body lotion coz it was nourishing and smelled really good like pure rose. But yes their perfumes/mists are really good.
The 2 brands that I really like are - kama ayurveda and just herbs.
Kama ayurveda -
I swear by their bringadi hair oil. It works wonders and gives your shine and softness. I usually put it 30 minutes before shampoo.
Then their powder based face cleanser - mridul is amazing. It cleans my skin without making it dry. Pores feel clean and free. It also doubles up as mild scrub. I use it with their lavender mist( which is an another favourite) every alternate day.
Lavender mist- I stopped using rose water on my face after I found their lavender mist.
Sugandhadi tailam is a relaxing, stress relieving body oil that actually works wonders after a tiring day + plus keeps my skin soft.
I used their lavender shampoo and conditioner, liked them a lot but then found another shampoo that I liked better. I still have the conditioner, I use it occasionally.
These are my kama products that I use regularly.
Just herbs is a comparatively new brand but it has been quite a few years since it launched. They give samples with orders so you can try a lot of products without having to buy the full sized ones. My to go products from this brand are -
Aloe vera massage gel - I use it after washing my face, just gently massage it and wash off after 10 minutes.
Petalsoft face pack - best mask so far for tan.
Their anti acne mask (sorry can't recall the exact name, will check and update later if you need) it is the best remedy for acne, works super fast, doesn't over dry skin and calms down the redness or irritation
There are other products I have used on and off and have liked them but I don't use them regularly. These 3 are the ones I'm using currently.
They also have launched a herbal face tint recently that I am currently using apart from skincare and loving. Doesn't clog pores or breaks me out, gives a sheer coverage.
Their silk splash face wash is really lolved by a lot of people but it didn't really work for me. Just didn't do anything.
They consult on whatsapp, one of the most efficient and attentive customer care.
My skin is super sensitive, combination.
This is my opinion on various ayurvedic brands and products, hope you find the one that suits you Hope this all helps :) do lemme know if you need to know anything else
