Apparently, he made a comment to the effect of I used to have two shoes but then after he got rich he had 300 and his father cried seeing them.

Does anyone know which interview + full quote/context?

I think he said his father cried because he thought 300 shoes were not bought but thrown at him at various occasions. Hence he was hurt at treatment given to his son.

He had to explain that I am no longer launda lapada and these were bought by me...

Father then started crying again

He asked why

Father said beta ab yeh khushi kay aanso hain

I remember reading that.

How are the dynamics at home now?

My father is getting older and gets emotional easily. The other day I was cleaning my shoe closet, which has some 100 pairs now. It was a staggering sight. Dad walked past the room and he stared crying. He said I remember once you had just two pairs one for everyday wear and one while going out. Tell me, how can I not be thankful to God?

Why so many Ranveer bashing topics today? Who are we to judge what a celebrity says to sell their movies or their persona? They are promoting their product. As long as they don't promote themselves by maligning others, why the fuss?

OT: and here my parents chide me for having a little over a dozen pairs.
