The days of movie stars demanding huge salaries are all but over, a new report by Variety says, although a handful of Hollywood stars can still command large paydays. Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne Johnson, Robert Downey Jr and Vin Diesel are a few of the only a small group of actors who can make over $20 million (Rs 134 crore) per movie, the report says.

Although DiCaprio frequently takes pay cuts -- he's halved his salary for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood -- he commands a $20 million salary for films such as Inception. Stars such as Robert Downey Jr, however, have potentially lucrative profit percentage deals written into their contracts. The report says that Downey Jr's salaries can range from $20 million plus in an Avengers movie to $10 million (Rs 67 crore) for just a 15-minute role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

While production houses such as Blumhouse -- they've produced films such as The Purge and Get Out -- pay their actors a scale amount, which means they make the lowest amount legally allowed by the Screen Actors Guild, they do write attractive back end deals to entice them. Ethan Hawke, for instance, made $2 million in bonuses for his role in The Purge.

Other actors who take advantage of their stardom include Dwayne Johnson, according to Forbes the highest paid actor of 2017. Johnson will charge $1 million just to promote his upcoming film, Red Notice, to his 100 million plus social media following. This is in addition to his $22 million salary.

But the highest paid star in the upcoming slate of studio tentpoles is Daniel Craig, who will receive $25 million (Rs 168 crore) to reprise his role as James Bond in his final outing as the famed British spy. Craig famously had to be coaxed into playing the role, with rumours of him being offered $150 million overall doing the rounds.

You would have noticed a lack of women on this list. It's made clear every year after the release of the Forbes list that women make less than male actors. Stars such as Jennifer Lawrence are bucking this trend. She received $15 million for Red Sparrow, however her back end must have been affected due to the film's lacklustre box office performance. Anne Hathaway will also make $15 million for her role in the upcoming Barbie movie.

Here is a list of stars, along with their reported salaries:

Daniel Craig - Bond 25 - $25 million

Dwayne Johnson - Red Notice - $22 million

Vin Diesel - The Fate of the Furious - $20 million

Anne Hathaway - Barbie - $15 million

Jennifer Lawrence - Red Sparrow - $15 million

Seth Rogen - Flarsky - $15 million

Tom Cruise - The Mummy - $11-13 million

Harrison Ford - Indiana Jones 5 - $10-12 million

Sandra Bullock - Minions - $10 million

Leonardo DiCaprio - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - $10 million
