Saw the film recently and I quite liked it. Vidya Balan was fabulous and deserved all the accolades and awards.
But the climax was confusing to me. She leaves the RJ job and takes on the job of a tiffinbox supplier, right? Then why does her husband drop her at the office at night in the last scene? Does she resume her RJ job? Seemed a bit confusing to me.

Someone please explain.

I hope that's the case. If she had indeed quit the job, it would have made for a very unsatisfying ending.

The ending is there on wikipedia as well:

Next day police find her son and bring him home. Sulu goes to her office and resigns. She feels that she is not able to handle the emotional turmoil at home. Just as she is leaving, she finds the receptionist having a fight with the tiffin service guy. Sulu has an idea and she requests Maria to give her the contract for the tiffin service. Next, we see Ashok managing the tiffin business and Sulu going to her job; managing both the household and her professional life in her own unique style.

So why does she quit the job in the first place? I don't know. This section of the plot doesn't sound convincing to me at all.

I was confused too, I had to go on Wikipedia . My understanding is she couldn't manage household and her job with her husband being out all day but can manage it once he was able to work from home 😕

Def confusing ending , caz for tiffin service who is cooking? Is she really cooking in the morning after working all night? I don't know it was def unsatisying ending though really liked the movie.

Many were confused because it looked like she is taking up tiffin service. It was her husband who takes up tiffin service and she continues her R J job.

I think what they were trying to explain was that ashok was so miserable in his other job that it made it more bitter towards Sulu. But with this job he's happier and can also watch their son while she's at work.

The idea is that families have to work together to find a solution to problems.
Ashok managed the Tiffin service and Sulu kept her RJ job.

She quit because she felt her job was making it difficult for her to manage her personal life. Her son had run away, her family was pressurizing her to quit. The emotional turmoil was too much for her.. Her husband hated his job and was bitter, her son was being bullied, being suspended, and running away. Her personal life was messed up basically. While leaving after quitting she realizes that Ashok can manage the tiffin service and she won't have to quit.

I loved this movie. This was in truest sense a women-centric/feminist movie. Did you notice throughout the movie how they subtly showed women working and holding various jobs? There was Neha Dhupia managing a whole radio station, there was a woman taxi driver who works at night, a pregnant woman running a gym, even the police they showed was a lady.
As other members explained she did keep her job and found a new job for her husband as proprietor of Tiffin service. I was so glad that they didn't showed her as some tyag ki devi, sacrificing her job for the sake of her family. After going through so much hardship she found a perfect balance and solution.
