Btw, she is retweeting praises for him so he seems to have won her over. 😆 It reminds me of an interview he did with the Los Angeles Times a few years ago that appeared on the front page. The journalist mentioned SRK's extreme charisma and called it "Clintonian." Bill Clinton is famous here for it - that even if a person hates his guts, they meet him for 5 minutes and fall in love with him.

Everyone from German television to Malaysian TV were showing SRK's speech live and they were advertising it with SRK's name too, not Elton John or Cate Blanchett. To have such impact on the world when you act in a language that they don't even understand is always going to be commendable.

Btw, WEF Chairman Schwab also did SRK's open arms pose when he met Modi and even Modi had to laugh. No celebrity in India commands that kind of respect. Even Obama mouthed his dialogues. Bachchan would have had that kind of respect if he didn't screw it up with so many political scandals from Bofors to getting involved in Congress' Sikh massacre to the Panama Papers to god knows what else.

Wow, this topic looks just like the Aish one. Anyway, both of them are much more than just actors. And their achievements are truly worthy of respect and praise. Some people have spent their entire life being- actors- and a mediocre one at that. Even their goodwill is an orchestrated PR stunt to the point of losing credibility. I know SRK gets a lot of flak for his sinking career, but I see how his personality is beyond and larger than that.
Even if there is a political force at work, you at least need to pick someone who is intelligent & articulate enough to be able to represent the country on such an important global platform.
Sucks to see how the achievements of both these actors are being downplayed like that. Both had accomplished, long careers and not just as actors.

Modi didn't even tweet a Congrats to SRK or anything when we know how much he likes to sidle up to any random celebrity.
