In the Women's day task, when Hina got Luv and Puneesh dressed in sarees along with full makeup, Vikas' reaction was to make faces and shdder. Arshi said "Mardo ko mard hi rehen do."
I wonder if that is not a homophobic or transphobic reaction? What is there to shudder about in applying makeup? What was that word again... selective outrage.

Umm it's not homophobia for sure. Vikas has been great friends with sabya in the house so that is evidence enough

It wasn't homophobic because Arshi didn't exactly show disgust for homosexuals, crossdressers or transgenders. Hiten said,"Why is Hina giving weird idea's to our queen(Arshi)?." Arshi replied,"Don't worry I won't do that. Mard ko mard hi rehne do toh achha hai." Arshi being Arshi she said it spontaneously teasing Hiten.

Honestly it's not homophobic if one doesn't want to dress like a woman or apply make up. I wouldn't do it either.

Its only homophobic when shilpa says. N there are drag queens who dress up as woman nothing to be disgusted abot it. I have notcied vikas gets annoyed at the mention of gay word. If someone makes fun of gay is homophobic then the one taking offence when called gay is also homophobic

Don't think that reason is enough. Shilpa was cordial with Sabya, never said anything bad about him ever. But some of her comments were considered homophobic and she was made out to be a villain for homosexuals due to them.

Yes but no need to make faces at others who are dressed up right?

It's a personal choice to not do it. But to shudder or say mard ko mard rehne do... That's different.

If they were demeaning trans people then it's wrong. Have to go back and see the actual clip but the faces could also be because a guy was being turned into a girl. I think I will feel the same if bunch of guys dress up a girl shave her face and give her a boys hair cut or make over
