Hi Everyone,
There's a famous saying in Hindi, which I guess everyone knows - "Shaadi ek yesi laddoo hai jise Jo khaaye who bhi pachthaye, jo na khaye who bhi pachthaye."

I don't know about those who don't eat this laddoo, but who eats it at any one point in their life does remember this saying. Anyways jokes apart, this post is not directly related to the show, but I sure am getting mad and fed up of seeing something as serious as matrimony being handled so lightly in these TV shows. Every show has a divorce sequence and then remarriage. Do these makers realize how expensive it is to get married once, let alone twice, especially in a country like India. The divorce tracks, don't even get me started.

These makers take the viewers and their intelligence so lightly. Is it so easy to get divorce, go to court, type some words on a stamp paper and get it signed?? It's like, ok let me go to the market and grab a divorce. I don't know why am I even making this post, but I sure am getting pissed seeing the divorce drama at least in this show. So legally as per the current track, these are the only reasons a divorce is applicable.

Adultery
In India, a man that commits adultery (i.e. has consensual sexual intercourse outside of marriage) can be charged with a criminal offence. The wife may, of course, file for divorce as a civil remedy. If, on the other hand, a wife commits adultery, she cannot be charged with a criminal offence, though the husband can seek prosecution of the adulterer male for adultery.

Desertion
One spouse deserting the other without reasonable cause (cruelty, for example) is reason for divorce. However, the spouse who abandons the other should intend to desert and there should be proof of it. As per Hindu laws, the desertion should have lasted at least two continuous years. Christians, however, will not be able to file a divorce petition solely for this reason.

@Shamrouz - thank you dear.. I wouldn't have been so irked if not for the gandarva vivaah stunt that the makers pulled on us, where they tried so desperately to show that shaurya indeed married mehek.

Beautifully written,logical meaningful , leesa,⭐️
The seriousness of the institution and sanctity are used here to create drama & legalities in reality takes ages to complete after rationally thought through from possibly all sides taking in so many factors & people involved ,directly or indirectly πŸ˜•marriage is not & never will be between two people, it involves two families 😊9
The sad part is that most of the shows run on the fuel of TRP which prefers certain stereotypical formulas to stay ahead in competition with others at the same time slot.. subservient heroine in Indian wear bearing the emotional/ financial burden of the family not ready to bend or break , always maintaining a brave front - the headstrong side emerges during the intial part of love story πŸ˜† once married it's about golden blouse = jassoose (Thanks to Simran πŸ˜†) & occasionally bringing the errant members of the family back in their well drawn LR. The hero will be dark & brooding but with a golden heart (),with strong family issues , once he meets his soul mate he subtly changes like the parting of clouds so that the sun could shine on his cold grey life 😳 the power of true love πŸ˜†.. multiple marriages, divorce drama, amnesia πŸ˜†all with the same hero means more chitrahaar,emotions running high, will they won't they eventually unite, consummation usually for the last episode, till then it's high on anticipation πŸ˜†.functions festivals ,occasion for decking up ..in short intense intrigue romantic drama tiptoeing on quicksand yet being pulled in whirlpool & emerging out absolutely clean sounds llogical but that's how it works, it's a tender balance of creativity & commercialism for the makers, to hook us on.. sometimes it's a hit & at times a miss,accidentally πŸ˜†
Have to add..Amazing astonishing crazy hadh wale twist being churned out on weekly basis 🀣

@Sunet - thank you dear😊😊
Thabs - the funny part is for a divorce to happen, first there should be a proper marriage and so far we never got to see that part in this show. As you said, looks like there's still more drama to come, let see how much more we can bear..

Ms.nitya - a compliment coming from someone who writes so deep and meaningful, I'm really happy, thank you.

Trp is like petrol - if you want it, then you have to pay the price and in Indian soaps that price ends up being all the logics and sensitivities related to humankind. As you said, the heroes are shown grey, yet strong minded, but once married they donate their brains to their wives and the only purpose of their existence would be to romance the heroine, play assistant to his detective wife, accuse her of anything and everything irrespective of the fact if she did it or not when something goes wrong, and last but not least slap the divorce notice on her face.

Consummation - good you brought this up, I've itching to write on this topic actually. For me, this is the first step of trust for a girl towards a long wonderful lifelong journey of 2 souls. I've no idea why these shows make such a big deal out of consummation track, the buildups before it happens and more importantly I'm yet to see at least in one show where the consummation happens on the day of the marriage. For instance in our own show, shaurya - this guy has always been bold in expressing his feelings, be it emotional or physical. So why would a guy like that be begging or asking permission to kiss his own wife, I have no idea. They portray it as though they are 2 teenagers high on hormone trying to steal a kiss without nobody noticing. One side these shows want the physical chemistry of the leads to work for their trp, yet they don't have the guts to show even a kiss (even a fake one) between them and get it done with. When I see thus, I just want to say this - come on guys just get it over with already. Anyway enough of my rant.

PS:. Thanks guys for taking the time to comment. Unfortunately, I can't reply to each of you separately bcoz I'm a newbie, didn't know posts were like money, you should save it for later, so bear with me...
