Can you make it with Mandavi-Bharat, Urmila-Lakshmana and Kirti-Shatrughana? All from SKR? The title is called 'Better Halves'. It is a sequel TS to my SitaPate, MythiliPriya, JanakiVallabha Rama :P

@Sakhii- It's heavenly Sooo heavenly! Though I too don't really like Madirakshi in any mytho role, it's okay for siggies as she is pretty 😛

@Janaki- Oh, Gagan made a better Rama in SMMH 😕 The episodes which I saw are so filmy. Especially that Divyanka Tripathi/Chandra Dev's dance, and all the tension behind Rama-Sita's wedding. Kaikeyi also was like a typical MIL 😕

And yes, Prithvi Hatte makes a good Lakshmana as well 😉

The problem with so many of the latest versions of Ramayan is adding tension and drama where there was none. Both Skr and Zee were guilty of this. Zee's Ram-Sita marriage was so depressing, which is weird because that track is supposed to be beautiful, divine and happy. Sunaina disliking Ram as a suitor for Sita was weird, and then Kaikeyi humiliating Sita the moment she entered Ayodhya, Bharat and Ram competing for the throne, these were some of the offensive moments of the show. Bal Kand and Ayodhya Kand were the worst, but then Aranya Kand was okay. In fact, that was probably the best phase of the show, as they were more or less accurate.

Haha true, Gagan and Deboleena too had more chemistry than Gagan and Neha. 😉

Zee tried to cast actors that resembled RSR's Ram-Sita-Lakshman, and they kind of did, but as a trio their chemistry was not good. In fact, Zee tried to cash in on RSR's success in other ways too, but for them it failed. They aired their show every Sunday morning, which normally would be fine if it was rightly paced like RSR, but their show dragged and thus, people lost interest when there was a whole week gap between episodes, because the episodes themselves were not worth the wait.

While Zee Ramayana dragged the unnecessary tracks, and added weird drama, SKR totally added unnecessary-offensive things. That Bhumi Pravesha *horrified* In butchering Ramayana, SKR tops the list! 🤢

Gagan and Deblina had a good chemistry and were a good Rama-Sita allover. Though, their Rukmini-Krishna was too funny and weird 😆

And wait, RSR? Arun, Deepika, Sunil, Dara Singh, Anjali and each and every one of that show's cast was perfect and bliss 👏 and their acting and characterisation was apt. Zee Ramayana is no where near it 🥱

Yup, SKR tops the list in offensive content, then it's Zee followed by BRC's Ramayan.

Deblina as Rukmini was very awkward, lol. I think by the time she played Sita, she improved in her acting as she was more convincing. Gagan did not suit Krishna at all IMO, but he was a good Ram in SMMH, way better than in Zee.

Yeah, I feel Zee failed mainly because they tried to copy RSR too much. They should've been original and cast actors who actually suited the roles, rather than ones who 'resembled' the older one.
