Episode 10 Last Look - To a Man in the Mirror

The entire scenario was like watching the Turkish version of the movie Executive Decision. There is a brave doctor who folds the fort for his hospital staff, colleagues and patients, a not so brave lady (doctor by chance) who breathes her last with the name of her first love ALI ASAF and somewhere at an aerial flutter another lady (doctor by choice) candidly talks to angel of death.

While breathing his last, the cop makes a poignant words of them being ends of the yardstick of life and death. This pushes Eylul to confess of her faith that Ali is her only guardian angel who can preserve her from any catastrophe. Oh she does pass her test with flying Ali dashing to the terrace to reach her. An amazing camera work to show them hug in the backdrop of dusk/sunset.

Hakan in and as Macavity the mystery cat gingerly walks into the hospital corridors, creating more havoc to become the Napolon of crime!! While Ali chases for Hakan, Eylul helps the staff recover from the bullet wound. For once Melda shows concern for a patient, and that becomes her last one too.

The entire hospital cannot believe that Bahar was lost due to stipulatory orders from the special task force. Sinan for the first time seems to be saddened, as he realizes the gravitas of the situation. Did that I-phone survived a drop test??

ZN and Ali calm the purring Hakan and take over the weapons. Hakan is assured of the cure to his pain and for the last time believes in Ali's words.

The snipers come into the scene for one last time, to bring the much needed juxtaposition of Hippocrates (Oath) and hypocrites. Hats off for ZN to be always motivated to work and putting the same bug into Ali.

Engulfed with loss of Bahar, Sinan protests for Hakan's recovery. Ali as the honcho takes a last look into the matter.

The emotionally charged scenes at the morgue where the besties bid good-bye, fond memories of the colleague's camaraderie and Fatih thunderstruck ( why did she say Ali Asaf and not my name) were crisp to evoke the appropriate last look for Bahar.

Mehmet returns at the worst times possible and but now he is smart enough to collaborate with Selim. Mafia payout looked easy to the eyes, but why I feel this is not meant to last long!! Do you think Cihan's has rivalry with this gang and eventually Eylul to be blamed for treating him to recovery? Holy mess.

When Bahar is laid to rest, the past, present and future are reminded to everyone at the burial. Ali and ZN thrown back to moments of losing loved ones, Fatih at present still blinded with anger and sorrow and finally our Eylul whose future is surrounding her like a shroud.

A shrewd Sinan works on the fault lines of the relationships, and Eylul last look radiating a seismic energies causing tremors at the feet of Ali and stress at ZN.

If they were to make a change, Sinan would have found his slayed daughter in Eylul, ZN would have accepted to the error of his authority, Ali and Eylul would have realized the duplicity of people around them. Ironically it's Hakan who realizes his realities, and is too late for him to change his ways??

Sometimes I think its dhama's diktat to play a war on a common ground. Maybe Sinan now realises the loss of loved ones better.

Bravo! creatives for this exploding episode. Ege couldn't have got a better farewell from the drama and audience could not have got a better topic to discuss on the uprightness of the national sentiments.
