The team moved onto duty while Veer and Riya retired to their home...

A car stopped outside a huge mansion, Veer and Riya stepped outside the car. Riya beamed seeing her house. The two moved to the main door and Riya excitedly rang the bell. A member of the staff opened the door. The lady was pleasantly surprised seeing the duo.

Lady: Riya madam? Veer sir?

Riya: andar nahi aane dogi Mary?

Mary: are nahi madam...ayiye please( she paves the way for them to enter) aapko aaj dekhne ki aas nahi thi, main abhi baakhi sabko batati hun, sab khush ho jaayenge

Riya: koi baat nahi

Mary: aapke liye kuch lau?

Riya: nahi... Mary abhi kuch nahi filhaal toh sirf aaram karna chahti hun

Mary: ji madam aur aapke liye sir?

Veer: nahi...thanks

Mary nods and moves away inside. Riya immediately moves into her room and jumps on her bed like a child

Riya: uff!!! Isiko jannat bolte hai...

She loitered around for a while before moving to freshen up. After some time she went outside trying to find her brother who was not seen anywhere. She asked a maid cleaning nearby if she knew his whereabouts but received a negative reply.

Riya: Mary!!!

Mary comes to her in a few seconds: yes Madam?

Riya: Veer kaha hai? Dikhayi nahi de raha?

Mary: woh sir apne kamre mein hai

Riya: oh! Thanks

Mary nods moving away. Riya goes to Veer's room and finds him sitting in deep thought with a file in his hand but his mind clearly somewhere else. Veer on the other hand was still in a dilemma over what they had done to Suhas and Rakhi.

Riya: kin khayalon mein khoye ho?

Veer snaps into the present: di aap? (he puts the file away) Aap kab aayi?

Riya enters inside near to him: bas abhi abhi...Kya hua? Kuch pareshaan lag rahe ho?

Veer sighs and hold her hands: aap khush ho?

Riya beams: main bahot khush hun!!!!

Veer automatically smiles, he hugs her: toh bas, main bhi khush hun!!

Riya smiled knowing very well he was hiding something from her. She prompted him to sit on the bed and gently asked

Riya: kya baat hai Veer? Aisi kaunsi baat hai jo tumhe khaaye jaa rahi hai?

Veer puts up a fake smile: nahi di aisa kuch bhi nahi hai

Riya squeezes his hands: Veer! Tum jhut bol rahe ho... tell me

Veer: Di...woh...nahi...

Riya(firmly): Veer!

Veer sighs: di... I... aapne aisa kyun kiya? Chacha chachi ko jail pahuncha diya? (Riya face stiffens hearing their name) Alok is a different story lekin woh dono...woh toh...humare apne hai, mummy papa ke jaane ke baad unhone humari har zaroorat har zid sab kuch pura kiya aur aapne unhi ko...? Yaha tak ki Property aur business jo unke naam tha woh bhi hadap liya? Kyun???

Riya takes a deep breath answers calmly: Veer main jaanti hun tumhare man mein bahot sawaal hai aur unka jawab maangne ka haq hai tumhe jo main tumse nahi cheenungi...tum jaana chahte ho na ki maine aisa kyun kiya? Toh suno... tum jab apni padhai ke liye shehar chodkar gaye the usi dauran Chacha chachi ne mujhe Alok se milwaya. Maine unse kaha bhi ki mujhe itni jaldi shaadi nahi karni lekin unhone kaha ki main ladke se mil lu, shaadi ke baare mein baad mein dekhenge aur main mana nahi kar paayi. Main Alok se mili aur woh mujhe kind of pasand bhi aaya, he was a good man, I thought I should try and know him more. Kuch din sab theek tha lekin fir Alok mujhe shaadi ke liye force karne laga aur ek din humara isi baat ko lekar jhagada bhi ho gaya...

Flashback

Alok and Riya are in corner of the park, arguing loudly on the topic

Riya(annoyed): ALOK TUM SAMAJ KYUN NAHI RAHE HO?? Mujhe Abhi Shaadi Nahi Karni!! I'm Barely 21, Mere Bhi Kuch Ambitions Hai, Armaan Hai Jinhe Main Pura Karna Chahti Hun!!!

Alok was getting frustrated by the minute, unable to take it anymore he slapped her hard: AMBITIONS !! MY FOOT!!! LADKI HO TUM!! AMBITIONS KARKE BHI TUMHE MERA GHAR HI CHALANA HAI SAMJHI TUM!!!

And storms out of there leaving a stunned Riya behind. She couldn't believe he had slapped her!! A rage built up on the inside of her, she won't let him get away with this!!

Making up her mind she went straight home to tell her uncle to break the alliance. Half an hour later she entered the house

Riya: Mary!!

Mary: yes madam

Riya: Chacha Ji Kaha Hai?

Mary: woh aur Rakhi madam Alok sir ke saath study room mein hai

Mary nods and goes to continue her work. Riya's feet move towards the study, the door was slightly ajar due to which she could hear their voices.

As they continued discussing Riya stepped backward, shocked and stunned! Unable to react she couldn't believe her ears... The uncle and aunt who had raised the two siblings were the very reason they had become orphans!! The most frightful and horrific night of her life had been orchestrated by them!! That too for their money??? Tears rolled down her eyes. Stumbling she collided with a Vase dropping it and it crashed breaking into numerous pieces. The sound startled the three people inside.

Rakhi: kaun hai?

Alok: dekhte hai

They walked outside, Riya ran... Ran like it was the last day of her life and collided with a maid in the hall

Maid: kya hua madam? Aap aise kyun bhag rahi hai

Riya was sweating profusely: woh...help!...please...

The other inhabitants had caught up by now and exchanged glances

Maid: aap kya keh rahi hai mujhe kuch...

Suhas: Riya beta tum kab aayi?

Riya jerked to look at them, her body started shivering, she nervously fidgeted with her hands.

Maid: sir woh madam ko kuch madad chahiye

Rakhi: madad? Hum haina madad karne ke liye... Tum jao in fact ek kaam karo, tum sab jao aaj ke liye itna kaam kaafi hai

Maid: lekin ma'am bahot kaam baakhi hai

Rakhi(sternly): tumse kaha na jao!

Riya(afraid): nahi...nahi ..please...

But Rakhi glares at the maid who just lowers her head and leaves. Within a few minutes all the staff of the house leaves leaving the four alone. Riya's heart beat was increasing every second, and adrenaline rush filled her body. The second the staff shut the doors behind them she tried to run but instead collided with Alok.

Stunned she stepped backwards, the three circled around her eyeing her menancingly. Alok had an evil smile on his face, he caught her by the hand and pulled her to him. Riya gasped and tried to free herself

Alok: kya hua baby itni ghabrayi hui kyun ho? Kaho toh...main kuch madad karu?

Riya: Leave Me!!! Main Tum Logon Ko Chodungi Nahi!!

Suhas: hume nahi chodogi? Pehle khud ko toh chuda lo... Riya...BETA?

Riya: Maine Kabhi Nahi Socha Tha Ki Aap Dono Itne Ghatiya Hai!! Aapne Maa- Papa Ka Khoon Kar Diya!!

Rakhi: Suhas ise toh sab pata chal gaya hai ab kya karenge?

Alok: chodo na aunty! Ab jab ise sab kuch pata chal hi gaya hai toh... Shaadi ka Muhurat nikal waate hai kyun?

Riya somehow frees herself from his hold: KABHI NAHI!!!!

Suhas comes forward and slaps her: chup!! Kaan kholkar sun lo! Agar tumne Alok se shaadi nahi ki toh apne bhai ko humesha ke liye bye bol dena

Riya(furiously): Kya Matlab Hai Aapka? AGAR AAPNE VEER KO HAATH LAGANE KI BHI KOSHISH KI TOH MAIN...

Rakhi: toh tum kuch nahi kar sakti Riya...(Riya turns to her) agar tumne Alok se shaadi nahi ki ya fir Veer ko kuch bhi batane ki koshish ki toh jaise tum anath hui thi waise hi apne bhai ko bhi kho dogi

Riya: AAP AISA NAHI KAR SAKTE!!! Main Veer Ko Sab Bataungi

Suhas: bataogi toh tab na jab tumhe pata hoga ki woh kaha hai

Riya(shocked): kya matlab...

Alok: matlab yeh baby ki tumhara bhai 24/7 humari nazar ke andar hai aur ha woh apni padhayi ke liye Kolkata nahi gaya balki waha gaya hai jaha humne use bheja hai

Riya: kya?

Rakhi: ab tum yeh soch rahi hogi ki tumhare pyaare bhai ne tumhe kyun nahi bataya haina? (Riya just looks on with a blank face) oho Riya thoda toh dimag lagao... jo tumhare maa- baap ko maar sakte hai woh kya tumhare aur tumhare bhai ke beech ek choti si misunderstanding nahi daal sakte? Us bichare ko nahi pata ki tumhe nahi pata aur tumhe nahi pata ko woh kaha hai...ab kuch samjhi?

Fresh tears flow from her eyes: please Veer ko kuch mat kijiye...(falling on her knees) main aapke saamne haath jodti hun...please

Suhas: toh phir Alok se shaadi kar lo

Riya felt her self esteem breaking into a thousand pieces: manzoor hai mujhe! Bas Veer ko kuch nahi hona chahiye!

The three of them smiled evilly and exchanged glances. Not long after Riya and Alok's marriage was fixed. Veer could hardly believe when he came to know about it. He was angry at his sister for marrying when his semester exams were due and had created  a ruckus on the conversation which was heard closely by Suhas and Rakhi making sure Riya didn't hint anything to him.

Riya somehow convinced Veer to stay where he was. She told him she would show him the wedding through Video calling. Veer fussed and fumed but Riya calmed him down and finally he agreed not before promising to finish his studies and coming to threaten his brother in law to take proper care of his sister.

Within a few days Alok and Riya were married. Alok took Riya to his home. Riya was standing by the window tears flowing down her eyes. Alok enters the room with a file in his hand.

Alok: baby!! Chalo fatafat papers par sign kar lo taaki tumhare paise mujhe mil jaaye fir kal mujhe aadha hissa tumhare chacha chachi ko bhi dena hai( opening a pen he keeps both on the table) ab chalo bhi!

Riya wipes her tears and walks towards the table, picking up the pen she is about to sign but hesitates, how could she give away her father's hard earnings to the very people who killed him? ...the next second her brother's face flashes in front of her eyes, immediately she signs the papers much to his happiness.

Alok: good girl! (he grabs her by the waist as she looks at him in disgust) maana padega itni se kaam ke liye kitni mehnat karwaayi tumne (caressing her face as she cringed) kya bala ho tum lekin...khubsurat bala ho (Riya looks up in shock) oho ab aise kya dekh rahi ho? Are bhai shaadi ki pehli raat hai, celebration toh banta hai kyun?

Riya(terrified): nahi...please (he drags her towards the bed) dekho! Tumhe, Tumhe Jo Chahiye Tha Woh Toh Tumhe Mil Gaya...PLEASE AISA MAT KARO...

She pleads and begs but he pays no heeds and throws her on the bed.

Riya: NO!!!...

The night fills with her screams as a monster unleashes himself on her...

Flashback Ends

Riya's eyes turn moist remembering the horrible incident which was just the first of the many to follow. Veer jerks up from the bed frustrated and furiously muttering to himself startling Riya

Riya: Veer?

Veer: ye sab meri wajahse hua hai...meri wajah se...

Walking away he grabs a knife from the fruit bowl and is about to cut himself, when Riya stops him

Riya: KYA KAR RAHE HO TUM VEER? PAAGAL HO GAYE HO???

Veer: HA PAAGAL HO GAYA HUN(He Grabs Her By The Shoulders) Ek Behan Apne Bhai Ko Is Umeed Mein Rakhi Baandhti Hai Ki Woh Uski Raksha Karega! AUR MAIN? MERI WAJAH SE MERI BEHAN KO BAAR BAAR RAPE HONA PADA? AISA BHAI HONE SE TOH BEHTAR BHAI NA HONA HAI!!!!

He again tries to cut his vein

Riya snatches the knife and throws it away: VEER STOP IT!!!! (cracked) please!!! Band karo yeh sab!

Veer drops to his knees and hugs her legs crying: I'm sorry di!  I'm so sorry!! Mujhe maaf kar do!! Ye meri galti hai...meri galti...!!!

He cried uncontrollably, tears flowed incessantly from her eyes. She slowly bends down, separating him  from her and kneels down beside him.

Riya holds his hands: Veer...please shaant ho jao...

Veer(sobbing): kaise shaant hou didi?...kaise? aapne mere liye...isse behtar toh mujhe mar jaane diya hota...

Riya: kaise baatein kar rahe ho beta? Agar tujhe kuch ho jaayega toh main jeeteji mar jaungi...please aisi baatein mat kar!

Veer: didi...

Riya hugs him tight: apne aapko ko dosh mat do, (trying to calm him down) aur... Aur ab...ab toh woh chala gaya na? sab chale gaye... Ab koi kuch nahi karega...sab theek ho gaya hai Veer...woh kabhi bhi hume dobara pareshaan nahi karenge!

Veer bawls like child resting on her shoulder, removing all his frustration

Riya caresses his hair: bas bacha...bas...shaant ho jao...
