Forbidden Love
The ETF team had been temporarily off duty since the past few days due to a much personal case of it's second in command ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte. The team was for a change not discussing any crime but a family court case which was due the next day in the High Court. Huddled up in the office of the Criminal Lawyer Veer Mukherjee was the ETF team and his elder sister Riya Sharma.
Veer: baakhi sab ka toh theek hai lekin what we have to take care of is kahi Alok, di aur Arjun bhaiya par case na kar de
Riya: what nonsense Veer! Woh hum par case kaise kar sakta hai?
Sameer: nahi Riya woh sahi keh raha hai, Alok aisa kar sakta hai
Riya: how is that even possible? Aur kis cheez ka case karega woh hum par?
Veer: didi aapka aur Arjun bhaiya ka affair hai
Riya: So What?
Sameer: toh ye Riya ki tum Alok ki biwi ho aur shaadi shuda hone ke bavjud agar tum kisi aur se pyaar karti toh use extra marital affair kehte hai
Riya: woh humara personal maamla hai isme court kya kar sakta hai?
Arjun: Riya divorce bhi toh pati patni ka personal maamla hai fir bhi court interfere karta haina?
Riya: lekin...
Veer: dekho di! The point is ki humare sanvidhaan ke mutabik adultery is a punishable offence...
Ayesha: aur extra marital affair adultery gina jaata hai
Arjun: exactly...woh hum dono ko jail bhej sakta hai...
Sakshi: toh kya hua ? saath mein hi jaoge na? kya farak padta hai.
Everyone turns to her. Riya and Veer give her weird look as her friends look at her confusingly while the bosses move the head in disbelief
Veer(confused): ye kya bol rahi hai?
Sameer: uski baton par itna zyaada dhyaan mat do she is a journalist, use masala headlines ke peeche ki asliyat nahi dikhti hai
Veer: oh!
Sakshi(innocently): maine kya kiya?
Liza: kuch nahi kiya meri maa, tu thodi der shaant reh
Sameer brings the focus back to the topic: kaha the hum...? Yeah right jail...toh main yeh keh raha tha ki ek baar ho sakta hai ki Arjun ko jail ke bajay sirf suspension mile lekin agar usne aisa kuch kiya toh Riya ko bachana mushkil hoga
Riya's face falls, she didn't want Arjun to fall into trouble because of her
Arjun: I don't think ki hume is baare mein zyaada pareshaan hone ki zaroorat hai
Veer: kya matlab?
Arjun: matlab yeh ki Alok sirf Riya ka pati hi nahi mera aur Sameer ka purana dost bhi hai aur yeh baat toh sab jaante hai isliye isme koi hairaani ki baat nahi ki Riya aur main ek dusre ko jaante pehchaante hai aur main police force mein hun isliye Riya mere paas aayi that's it! Ek baar in dono ka divorce ho jaaye uske baad kaun dekhne waala hai ki humare beech kya hai aur kya nahi? Aur agar dekh bhi le toh bhi kya? Case toh khatam ho chuka hai court toh kuch nahi kar sakta na...humara affair hai yeh baat is room ke baahar sirf Alok jaanta hai aur uske khilaaf toh hum sab gavahi de hi rahe hai
Everyone falls into thinking, Arjun was right they could easily manage that part with a little bit of acting stating her husband was just trying to defame her
Ayesha: toh I guess we are good to go then! Kal Court ki final hearing hai uske baad Riya aur Alok ka divorce ho jaayega aur woh aur Riya ke chacha chachi inmates bhi ban jaayenge
Riya: nahi ek aur cheez baakhi hai
Arjun: kya?
Riya: woh maine Veer ko karne ko kaha tha (looking at her brother) papers ready hai?
Veer cowers a little, he wasn't exactly sure if his sister was doing the right thing after all they were family
Riya(sternly): Veer Main Tumse Kuch Puch Rahi Hun??
Sameer: kaise papers?
Riya: property aur business ke
Veer: didi woh...
Riya: Mujhe Bahane Nahi Chahiye Veer!!! Mujhe Pura Business Puri Property Ya Toh Mere Ya Tumhare Naam Par Chahiye That's It!!
Veer(unwillingly): papers ready hai didi bas ek stamp lagana hai jo kal ho jaayega aur kisi tarah Alok aur chacha - chachi ki sign leni hogi un par toh sab kuch aapke naam par transfer ho jaayega.
Veer hands her a file containing the official documents. Riya opens the file and reads through them.
Riya: Veer tumne yeh sab theek se check kiya na? Main Tumhe Warn Kar Rahi Hun Agar Kisi Bhi Ghar! Farmhouse Ya Factory Tak Ka Meter Room Bhi Reh Gaya Hoga Toh Main Sabse Pehle Aakar Tujhe Maarungi!!!!
Veer: ha didi maine sab theek se dekh liya hai, saari property saara business sab kuch hai
Chotu: lekin agar in par sabki signs kaha se laayenge?
Sameer: he's right! Kyunki woh teeno apni marzi se toh sign karenge nahi
Arjun: kisne kaha ki hume marzi se unki sign leni hai?
Sameer: Arjun agar tumhe yaad nahi hai toh bata du ki humne unhe fasa kar lock up mein bheja hai hum waha unhe dara dhamka nahi sakte hai
Ayesha: aur woh bhi tab jab ETF ko strict order mila hai ki hume is case se dur rehna hai aur iski investigation nahi mili hai
Arjun: main unhe darane ya dhamkaane ki baat nahi kar raha hun Ayesha main bas yeh keh raha hun ki zaroori nahi ki unhe pata ho ki woh kis paper par sign kar rahe hai
Veer: lekin unke jo bhi kaagzaat honge un par unka vakil sign lega aur unka vakil humari madad thodi karega?
Shree: unka vakil nahi karega lekin us vakil ka assistant toh karega
Riya: kyun?
Shree: maine uska record check kiya hai, woh sirf paison ke liye kaam karta hai, hearing se pehle wahi official papers par un teeno ki sigh lega usi ke beech hum ye property ke papers rakh denge aur bas humara kaam ho jaayega
Arjun: agar aisa hai toh humara kaam bahot aasaani se ho jaayega. Ye kaam tumhara Shree!
Shree: ho jaayega sir! You can count on me
Arjun nods and indicates Riya who hands over the file to Shree
Riya: thank you Shree
Shree: anytime!
The meeting came to a conclusion as everyone headed back ready to face the next day.
High Court
Court no. 6 was in session with Alok and Riya's divorce case since 10 am. An hour had passed and the court was ready to declare its decision. The ETF and Veer had nicely trapped Alok and Riya's uncle and aunt. Still everybody had goosebumps. Riya and Alok were standing in the opposite witness boxes.
Judge: tamam sabuton aur gavahon ko maddenazar rakhte hue ye adalat is nateeje par pahunchi hai ki ...(Riya closed her eyes gripping the railing in anticipation, Arjun was only looking at the ground praying while Sameer tried to wordlessly comfort him) Mrs. Riya Sharma ne Mr Alok Sharma, Mr Suhas Mukherjee aur Mrs Rakhi Mukherjee par jo bhi ilzaam lagaye hai woh sab...sach hai...
Riya opened her eyes in relief and the two lovers immediately looked at each other, aware that they had won
Judge: jiske chalte ye adalaat Mr Alok Sharma aur Mrs Riya Sharma ko divorce deti hai aur Mr Alok Sharma ko teen saal ki saza sunati hai aur Mr Suhas Mukherjee aur Mrs Rakhi Mukherjee ko do saal ki saza sunati hai...the court is (tapping the hammer) adjourned!! And moves away from his seat.
The police start leading away the shocked accused, while the Team celebrates outside the court. Riya hugs Arjun tightly.
Riya: hum jeet gaye Arjun!!!
Arjun embraces her in his arms: ha Riya!
The rest of them look at the two with smile on their faces. Veer who was busy finishing formalities with the personnel reached the spot and was immediately hugged by his sister.
Riya: Veer! You did it!!
Veer smiles: it's the least I can do for you...
The moment of peace was interrupted by Alok's scream who was being led away by the police
Alok: RIYAAA!!!! (struggling he managed to stop near them) Riya! Kyun Kar Rahi Ho Tum Yeh Sab? You Know How Much I Love You! (cracked) Tum kyun aisa kar rahi ho? Mujh par jhuthe ilzaam laga rahi ho? How can you do this? Main toh tumhe sache man se pyaar kiya hai fir bhi tum...please Riya abhi bhi waqt hai... Mujhe Chodkar Mat Jaao! Please!! Riya!!! I Love You!!! You Know I Do!! Please Riya...Rok Do Ye Sab Kuch...Waapis Aa Jao Mere Paas
But she just sighs with boredom : Alok... Tum aisa kyun kar rahe ho? Tumhe toh pata haina...(walking closer she whispers) ki main tumse sirf nafrat karti hun?... aur ha jab waapis baahar aao na tab apne liye ek jhopdi zaroor dhundh lena
Alok understands she had done something destroying him financially: Nahi !!!! Tum... Tum Aisa Nahi Kar Sakti!!
Riya(with fake sympathy): afsos! Main aisa kar chuki hun...Get Lost!!!
Alok: NO!!!! YOU CAN'T ...
The police lead him away to the van, but Riya's temporary woes had not ended yet. Her uncle aunt came next to try and melt her.
Suhas(emotionally): Riya tum aisa kaise kar sakti ho? Hum toh tumhare apne hai
Rakhi(cracked): humne tumhe aur tumhare bhai ko apna samaj kar paala, tum dono ko bada kiya...kya ye din dekhne ke liye?
Suhas: ye sila diya tumne humare pyaar ka? Hum toh tumhare maa baap ke jaise hai
Rakhi: hey bhagwaan! Ye din dekhne se pehle main mar kyun nahi gayi...meri beti aaj mujhe hi jail bhej rahi hai
Riya answers them cold heartedly: are Chacha ji maa- baap ke jaise hai, maa- baap thodi hai?? aur Chachi ji bhagwaan ko kyun dosh de rahi hai ek kahavat hai us par gaur kiya hota toh aaj yeh din aapke saamne nahi aata...(Suhas and Rakhi exchange glances) pata hai woh kya hai...bade buzurg keh gaye hai ki saanp ko chahe jitna bhi dhoodh pila do woh apna zehar nahi chodta usi tarah paraye ko jitna bhi pyaar kar lo woh paraya hi rehta hai... So...Go To Hell!!! And yea...apne pyaare daamad ke bagal mein aap bhi jhopda zaroor banwa lena!!
Arjun: Take them Away!!!
The constables take away the stunned couple. They had never anticipated such an answer from her. Veer just stares at his sister unable to fathom how could she be so blind as to convict The Suhas and Rakhi whom they had always thought to be their parents, who had always been there for them, in the times of hard ship. He couldn't understand why she had become so blind in love that she was destroying them who had been there in sorrow and happiness. Yet he couldn't go against her, he never could...he could do all the wrongs in the world for her if it meant her happiness.
Ayesha: Arjun sir bura na maano toh baat kahu
Arjun: hmm
Ayesha: ye ladki pakka aapki perfect match hai!
Arjun smiles: I know!!
Riya walks back to everyone, Shree gives the file back to Veer and Riya
Shree: ye rahi aapki file...teeno ke sign samet
Veer takes it: thanks
Riya: aur sirf file ke liye hi nahi, aap sab ko aapki madad ke bagair yeh ab bilcul bhi possible nahi tha
Sameer: don't worry Riya formalities ki koi zaroorat nahi, Arjun ke liye... kuch bhi!!
Riya smiles: dost toh tumhara Alok bhi tha
Sameer(jokingly): yea well, I like this one more
Arjun: wow!
And the three of them share a laugh.
Veer: didi sab kuch ho gaya hai...ghar chale?
Riya nods: hmmm...ghar toh main bhi jaana chahti hun
Sameer: ha hume bhi office jaana hai, I'm sure commissioner sir ne humare do teen cases ready rakhe honge
Arjun and Riya share a last hug
Arjun: I'll see you
Riya: soon
The team moved onto duty while Veer and Riya retired to their home...
