yes his dad is rich, but the fact is he didn't pay for ranveer to get into yrf, ranveer has said this rumour is completely untrue, why can't people just accept that his dad did not pay? why r some people constantly trying to bring this rumour up to make people think that its true lol
the only thing rs's dad did do with his 'connections' was get rs a job at an advertising agency where ranveer worked on coming up with ideas for commercials, he did this before he went to university to the usa
and i know of many very normal families that send thier kids abroad to study, many of my family friends hav sent thier children to greece and italy to study medicine, and no they r not millionaires, they hav money saved up to send thier children to university
so this constant argument of his dad is rich and he went to usa to study really isn't something that proves that he has such strong connections that he can get any movie he wants, his parents don't hav strong connections to producers or directors, his mom is just related to anil kapoors wife, thats about it

rs got to be an assistant director for shaad ali wen he was directing commercials, i think thats the only 'filming' experience he got before entering the industry, before that rs was part of a theatre company and wud do small performances with the theatre group, sidharth malhotra was an assistant director for my name is khan, so they all had to start somewhere, do the smaller jobs to try and crack into the business
