"Umm.. no... its Prasad's"
"she is hanging with Prasad's cat?"
"Mom... really?" Ashvin was exasperated
"You never told me she was lovely" his mother sat down on the couch stunned
"Do you have any more allegations?" he asked shaking his head
"She just walked away" his mother pointed to the corridor
"thats her room" he said sitting down
"Ashvin... umm..." she colored self consciously
"No, I dont plan to" (have sex) he said gruffly

"You are OK with the cat?" she asked pulling a warm water bottle out of her purse
He went to the kitchen and brought a couple bottles of sparkling water for them
"Define OK" he said sitting down in front of his mother
"OK means, it wanders freely, your wife cuddles it, you have cat toys in the living room"
"Its Prasad's toys" he grinned
Mandira noticed her son did not protest the wife reference
"Did you meet Prakash Shanbag again?" she asked in a low voice
He shook his head his expression somber
"She is gorgeous" his mother uncapped her bottle and sipped quietly
"Thats the third time" he said grinning again
"Dont tell me you are unafected" his mom reminded

The cook showed up and was all smiles on seeing Mandira, they greeted and visited for 10 minutes
"Did you call her?" he asked his mother

And went back to his admirer's room
"She is not very chatty either" Mandira was unable to digest the fact that she was being ignored

"Well atleast she is not a fashion designer" his mother smirked with satisfaction
"Arent you going to introduce me?"
"Umm.. yeah... sure" he promised
He walked over to her room
She was making the cat pick her next article for reading, bent over the other lounge chair, cuddling the cat
"Trisha" he called
She was embarrassed she sat up straight
"Umm?"
"Want to meet my mother?"he asked tentatively
Her heart thudded
"thats your mother?" she asked shocked
He nodded
"who did you think she was?" he asked curiously
She shook her head
"Who?" he insisted
"Your sister" she said
"So you think I am blind AND OLD?" he asked scanning her face
She turned a glorious red... slowly getting up
the cat growled at him "Buzz off dude, I was being consulted for some real work"
"She is beautiful" Trisha said her eyes had an admiring expression
