Why Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan is likely to debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput

There has been much speculation about Sara Ali Khan's debut film. It can now be confirmed that her first film will be opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.

It has already been reported that the actor will be working again with his Kai Po Che director Abhishek Gattu' Kapoor's film. Now Sara joins the cast. Says a source, "Sushant was to do Abhishek's i, but his dates weren't available. Now, they are coming together with a love story. The film is scheduled to go on floors sometime next year."

A khabri from the production house (Balaji Motion Pictures) reveals, "Gattu wanted a fresh pairing for his film. He decided to cast Saif's daughter as the female lead in the film. The team has met Sara and she has liked it. She is most likely to sign on within two weeks. Ekta is very close to Sara's mom Amrita Singh. In fact, Ekta revived her career on the small screen when she wanted to return to acting. Amrita was also seen in Ekta's production, A Flying Jatt, as Tiger Shroff's mom. Amrita trusts her to launch her daughter, and has given her blessings to this project"

In his next few projects Sushant will be paired with heroines he hasn't worked with before. There's Drive (with Jacqueline), Chanda Mama Door Ke (heroine unannounced) and RAW (with Disha Patani). and Raabta (Kriti Sanon) plus Abhishek Chaubey's untitled film.

Will play Sushant Singh Rajput's love interest in an Abhishek Kapoor-directed romance.

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's 23-yearold daughter Sara Ali Khan has become a Bollywood star much before signing her debut film. She's already a huge draw with the paparazzi, there are murmurs abound of a cold war with another star kidaspiring actress, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Jhanvi, as well as an alleged relationship with Anil Kapoor's son, Harshvardhan. Meanwhile, she's been getting a thumbs-up for her fashionable turns at every B-Town do, and was rumoured to be the leading lady of two big-budget films Agneepath director Karan Malhotra's next with Hrithik Roshan and a Salman Khan production, reportedly featuring his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma. Rumour has it that she bowed out of both.

Now, Mirror has learnt that the actress-inwaiting is set to make her debut with an Abhishek Kapoor-directed romance, titled Kedarnath, which is set in a temple town in Uttarakhand. Sara has been roped in to play love interest to Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is expected to take off by the year-end and will be filmed entirely in India. The Ekta Kapoor production has been in the pipeline for the last six months.

The script was first narrated to Sushant, who had incidentally crossed over from TV to films with another Abhishek Kapoor film, Kai Po Che in 2013. Sara, however, came on-board only last month after much discussion with family, and mentor, Karan Johar. Both the actors are yet to sign on the dotted line. "But the project, currently in an early stage, is confirmed, a source close to the development told Mirror. "The script is unique and is being worked upon at the moment. It's high on production value; the schedule in Kedarnath will be extensive. Ekta and Abhishek want to secure all aspects of the project before they roll, the source added.

While a spokesperson from Balaji Motion Pictures declined to comment, Mirror has learnt that Sara is working round-the-clock for her debut, training with new friends Malaika Arora Khan and actress Nimrat Kaur, as well as attending acting workshops.

We have often see Sara Ali Khan hang out with dad Saif Ali Khan and his lovely wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. Sara has also joined the B-town party gang lead by Karan Johar and is often clicked partying with them. However, this time the lovely newbie of Bollywood is seen sharing a quiet supper evening with mom Amrita Singh.

However, it seems that the supper evening was more of a work meeting as the mother-daughter duo met up with her debut director Abhishek Kapoor and Sara's leading man Sushant Singh Rajput. Apparently, the film, titled Kedarnath, is set in Uttarakhand with Sara playing Sushant's love interest. SSR made his Bollywood debut in the Abhishek Kapoor movie Kai Po Che, which became a hit at the box office during the time.

While Sara looked lovely in a peach dress, Amrita sported more of a casual look for the meeting. Sushant on the other hand looked dapper in a black tee and pants.

It was first rumoured that Sara will debut in Karan Johar's Student of the Year 2. Saif had also said that Sara would be lucky to have a mentor in KJO. He had said, "I am very happy she is working with Karan Johar because I think he is brilliant with newcomers and he will launch her correctly. He is a very intelligent and a passionate filmmaker and he understands films. I am very pleased that she is with him".

However, it seems it is Abhishek and Sushant for Sara's big Bollywood debut. Do you think they make a good pair?
