Agree 100% that Rohit should have been the winner. To put him in 3rd place behind Khudabaksh is a huge insult to singing. Khudabaksh did not even deserve to be in top 3 leave alone place 2nd. This whole show was rigged for TRP and nothing else. When I listen to songs, I do not picture the singer or his stage presence. Just the voice and flawless rendering of the song. I loved Revanth too and his voice is really beautiful, but as a singer Rohit is way superior.

Ofcourse as assumed Revant won the title. Media went berserk and declared him the winner even before the telecast of the final event. So many polls, conducted by reputed news papers,Twitter Face Book ete unanimously selected Revant as the winner.

On the flip side the outcome looked pre decided and fixed. It is crystal clear from the body language of judges and their indirect hints who is going to win ultimately.Judgement is given but how far it justified the title and the ideals with which the event came to life ten years ago...is quite debatable.

Indian Idol aims at promoting or actually unearthing the fresh and hidden talent that can fulfill the urge of music lovers to inhale the fragrance of fresh talent. Singers who are not exposed on the public stage utilise this chance and prove their credentials through this wonderful concept. But season after season the glaring reality stared in our face making me wonder is this the show I had ever fallen in love with.

Without going deeper into the past events and judgements I would like to express my displeasure over Revant being adjudged Singer of the nation Indian Idol.

Revant is a good singer. By all means he looks and sounds as one with sufficient singing experience. Why not? He already sang many songs play back including the prestigious Bahuball song. This season he almost lived up to expectations with his energetic and clap worthy performances not to forget his stage interaction with the guest heroines that made him look more like an aspirant hero rather than an aspiring singer. His looks, his flamboyance and his energy levels dominated his singing capabilities but he emerged winner mostly for the above mentioned reasons rather than his singing talent. He got vast fan following who voted for him with a wrong notion. They thought that they are selecting Revant the performer rightfully and for the right reasons. Sadly for music enthusiasts like me who learnt music and knew the nauces of good singing he failed to touch my heart strings.

Like Sonu Nigam said Revant got andaz Khudabaksh got Awaaz. Unfortunately for him Khudabaksh lacked captivating charm . He sang well, got the support of judges as well as audience but lagged behind . He was dominated by the unparalleled energy levels of Revant.

So who is left? Innocent, childlike Rohit. To me he is the find of the season.A revelation. A break through. A delight to hear, Rohit got a voice that doesn't overpower your heart but merge into your soul, urging for more. His singing imparts ultimate bliss. He makes us believe in the divinity of singing. The dedication, the hardwork shows when he presents his song. Still he looks effortless and weaves magic through his melodies. He is almost flawless. I know even Sonu knows this. Forgetting lyrics can not degrade him and put him on the back seat. But who cares for real talent? People like to watch the song rather than hear it by closing eyes. Performance scores over perfect rendering of the song. Never mind. Rohit, you will be considered a winner for real music lovers. You may not happen to be the Indian Idol but your singing lives forever and enthrall connoisseurs I am sure.

Although I am a die-hard fan of Revanth's, I couldn't help but feel bad for Rohit. I know he's got the skill and is far better than Revanth and KB in terms of versatile singing but then why did I vote for Revanth? No, not for his looks or attitude or dance moves but it's his voice. It pisses me off when people give credit to to his looks and other stuff for his winning this title but many knowingly or unknowingly have fallen in love with his voice. In my mind, it was a battle between a beautiful voice and a great skill. I preferred voice to skill as I thought that the skill that Rohit's got could only entertain a few people who are trained in music or classical music lovers like you but a beautiful voice can reach out to everyone just by the sound of it. I knew Revanth was going to make it big in Bollywood if he won this trophy. Voting against him was only going stop that. Now the question is - had Rohit won the trophy, would he be able to reach those heights? I am not certain about that and I mentioned the reason already. It's the voice that reaches people, unfortunately not the skill. With that said, I respect the hard work and the dedication shown by Rohit and his genuine presentation so much. Hope he manages to crack how to reach out to common people as well, in addition to pandits.

But he did reach this far and beat Malavika and Shravan. That tells, audience did love him to a considerable extent, but in the end, they just had to go with the thing that they have for the Revanth's voice. But I appreciate you Itelidevara for the appeal you made.

@ ltelidevara

Thank you . I respect your choice. Yes. Revant is made for Bollywood.

I like Rohit for his soulful voice, classical touches, original approach and dedication towards singing. I wish he will get his due in future.

You just got my point. Even if you look at the selection of songs Rohit opted for the most difficult to sing songs. Revant choose peppy numbers except one or two like moh moh Ke dhage. Khudabaksh lacks versatility. It is an insult to real music if he is considered second best.

"Congratulations revanth ". "You stole our heart rohit". These are the words mainly most of telugu singers praising both rohit &revanth. These singers know both of them & their capabilities. Most of them know classical music too. There was an institute in hyderabad -LMA where most of the singers are trained . Even rohit is also a student there getting coaching for singing movie songs. Though revanth was not a student but still he visits there and gets necessary guidance from the guru. I too accept rohit has improved a lot. I was not in favour of KB from the top 5. Cause tejinder also has got a good voice. One can peacefully listen to his songs. When I saw sravan performing ketki song I thought revanth will be surely beaten by him. They are all masters in singing. Malavika anyway I didn't like her voice where it screeches some times in high pitches. Only some of her performances were good. Shravan, rohit , revanth, tejinder, any one from mohit or malavika . But Shravan &tejinder couldn't get good voting don't know why. Though revanth was not classically trained his love for singing made him to won the title. In one of his fb chats he was asking his friend (a hindusthani singer who sang a hit song in Pawan Kalyan 's recent movie) some tips to increase his singing quality. He openly admits he was not classically trained . He is ready to learn at any given opportunity. He also said in one Interview that competition means how you perform at that moment & not what you know. I think this attitude made him the winner today.

Almost all the singers in top 8-9 were splendid this season(except for that unwanted wild-card entry), but, at the end of the day, popularity speaks volumes!
I actually liked Tajender, Shravan, etc. who got eliminated sooner than expected! IMHO, Shravan is anyday better than Rohit - for singling ability, versatility and consistency.

Yes, I agree Shravan, Tajender was good! the top 3 should have Shravan, Khudabaksh, & Malvika.

Revanth was good in looks& Rohit has innocent looks none of these 2 can pronounce Hindi the way it has to be.

But I my opinion Khudabaksh was the Winner!

I grew up watching or rather competing with rohit in competitions in hyderabad..though i stopped participating in classical.and non classical.music competitions after rohit's light music teacher rigged all competitions for his students to.win(not rohit/revanth specifically) i have been following them..
Surprised to see rohit improve so much on his own after the childhood winning due to his teacher..
Revanth was better singer before he start3d playback singing and he is riding on the fame of bahubali.Revanth went off tune at many places and was careless when it came to the pronounciation..
I am a telugu girl but when i.sing hindi or tamil.i.listen carefully to catch the.phonetics /pronounciation right..because music is both tje tune and the lyric .Revanth lacked that dedication.

Khudabaksh on the other hand is raw talent..if mentored well and given opportunity he would shine

Before people ask my qualification to judge them i hhave secured a distinction.in carnatic music university exam and have learnt carnatic and hindustani music for over 10years and still practising.

We all know what makes an Indian idol.
It has never been only about singing but also popularity.
If Revanth uses his Baahubali fame, it was a smart move (could've backfired also).

I've obviously not watched Revanth or Rohit before Indian idol, but when I heard Revanth on saptaswarulu, he didn't sound as good as today.

He sang nannu preminchananu maata on both saptaswarulu and super singer and sounded way better in super singer.
I can't talk of Telugu pronunciation or feeling because I don't understand the language. But it sounded better.

Anyway, he's won and Rohit's been noticed as has Khudabaksh. Let's hope they all make it big
